After work, I wanted to eat a hearty bowl of ramen, so I decided to visit this restaurant where I saw a picture of Taiwanese ramen with leeks on top before. I checked the menu and saw that the Taiwanese ramen came with leeks, garlic, and was recommended to mix it well from the bottom before eating. Since I love leeks and garlic, I ordered the Taiwanese ramen along with my favorite mentaiko mayo rice bowl. While waiting, I noticed they also had gyoza, fried chicken wings, and a variety of yakitori options on the menu, which made me think it would be nice to come with friends and enjoy some drinks and yakitori. When the dishes arrived, the Taiwanese ramen was topped with chashu pork, leeks, bean sprouts, minced meat, and thin slices of pork chashu, with a hint of spiciness from the small red chili peppers floating in the soup. The mentaiko mayo rice bowl had rice covered with seaweed, topped with mayo and mentaiko. The soup was not as spicy as I expected, and the garlic was not overpowering, making it easy for anyone to enjoy. The noodles were thin and straight, slightly soft, which seemed to be the default for this restaurant, and they soaked up the soup well. The mentaiko mayo rice bowl was delicious, with the saltiness of the mentaiko mixing well with the mayo and the flavor of the seaweed. Personally, I wish I had added more garlic halfway through, so I'll make sure to ask for extra garlic next time.
