Today, I heard good things about "Grill Fog" and decided to have lunch there. I arrived around 1 pm and there was already one group waiting. I wasn't too interested in the shrimp fry, so I ordered the "Hamburger + Fish Fry" set. The hamburger was light and juicy, with plenty of meat juice flowing when I put my chopsticks in. It was soft and on the smaller side at 130g, but still satisfying and delicious. The fish fry had a slightly hard batter and was a bit peppery, but it tasted good when paired with tartar sauce. The spaghetti side dish, although lightly seasoned in the old-fashioned way, was surprisingly tasty. The chicken cutlet and cream croquette also looked delicious, so I would like to come back again.

It's been a while since I visited this Western-style restaurant on Nishiooji Street. This time, after four years, my wife and I had the hamburger and shrimp fry set. I had the hamburger and scallop cream croquette set, which came with rice and miso soup. The hamburger was juicy and full of flavor, and the shrimp fry was delicious. My wife really enjoyed the scallop cream croquette. It would have been nice if she had shared some with me... The meal also came with half a boiled egg and salad, making it a lovely lunch. I happened to be seated near the kitchen, so I could hear the pleasant sound of frying and see the plating process, which added to the anticipation. And then, my order arrived. It was a plate with hamburger steak, croquette, and shrimp fry - the classic trio of Western cuisine that whetted my appetite! Among them, the most delicious was the hamburger steak. The hamburger itself was tasty, but the rich sauce was incredibly delicious. Although the restaurant is a bit away from the central part of Kyoto, it was worth visiting.

I ordered the Hamburg and Chicken Cutlet set, while my wife chose the Hamburg and Cream Croquette set. The set comes with salad, side dish, rice, and miso soup. It was a delicious lunch. However, the operation was inefficient. The female staff, who seemed to be a part-timer, was too relaxed and often didn't notice when called or went to the wrong direction, unable to explain the menu... This lack of attention later had a negative impact during busy times.
