京都グルメ探検隊風雲龍虎編!ときどき滋賀&ニッポン
Kyoto, at Toji Temple for work, the weather is nice and warm, spring is definitely approaching. Today's lunch was at Jun Tofu Taiko, a place I had been eyeing since looking for Nabezen and Seikaen. With 2 staff members inside, I wasn't sure what to order so I went for the Mini Sundubu with the Chumolappa lunch set. When I asked what Chumolappa was, I was told it's Korean-style rice balls. The food arrived in about 12 minutes, and wow, the portion was huge! The menu was illustrated, so I was overwhelmed by the amount of food in front of me. Chumolappa came with 4 pieces, bean sprout namul, cabbage kimchi, 2 Yangnyeom chicken pieces, boiled egg, and for some reason, a octopus wiener! And a mini Jun tofu. This lunch set had one of the largest portions I've ever had. First, I tried the Yangnyeom chicken, it was my first time and it was delicious! Really delicious! I already love it. The Chumolappa was lightly seasoned, and there were 4 of them. The Jun tofu was magma-colored but not spicy at all, incredibly delicious! It might be the most delicious Sundubu I've ever had! The soup was irresistible, with a hint of sourness that I love. I couldn't finish it before my lunch break ended, but I really enjoyed it. I received a coupon for Sundubu, so I'm very satisfied. I will definitely come back, and next time I want to try the Sundubu as the main dish. Highly recommended! Thank you for the meal! Jun Tofu Taiko.
