The sake is delicious no matter what. The owner always mentions coming all the way from Tokyo, but I would visit North Kawahara Brewery as many times as needed to enjoy their sake. Today, I purchased the Premiere! I am very excited to see the reactions of those who will be trying it for the first time.

My second son bought my favorite sake as a souvenir for our adult day trip to Fushimi. The sake is a carefully selected junmai daiginjo with a gentle and fruity flavor, made from high-quality rice that has been meticulously polished and aged through a heating process. It has a smooth and gentle mouthfeel, with a sweet and sour taste similar to white wine. It won the highest gold award at the "Delicious Sake in a Wine Glass Award 2012." Both varieties have become staples in our home, and my son even made a point card at the liquor store. Sake is truly delicious when served chilled in the summer!

I walked straight through the shopping street in front of Fushimi Momoyama Station, with the station behind me, and a little further ahead after exiting the shopping street. Despite being a little tipsy, I arrived safely at this popular restaurant where customers were constantly coming in and out. I had previously enjoyed a sake called Premier Amour at an izakaya and wanted to purchase it, so I stumbled my way there. When I entered the shop, I saw the selection of sake lined up on the left side, so I headed over there. There it was! I found the Premier Amour sake. It said "sweet and sour, delicious" on the label, so I knew it was the one. And it was reasonably priced too. Overjoyed to have found it, I was tearing up a bit, and then the landlady appeared. I asked for her recommendation on sake and also bought some souvenirs for my family. She introduced me to a 720ml bottle of daiginjo sake for just over a thousand yen, and choosing was a lot of fun. In total, I had six bottles sent to my home. I haven't tried them yet, but I'm looking forward to sharing them with my family next time I visit them. Sake is more enjoyable when shared with others rather than drinking alone. The sake from Fushimi has a smooth and delicious taste. I would like to try their sake sold by weight next time. Thank you for sending them promptly.

If you plan to buy souvenirs, they will let you taste a lot of sake. When you enter, there is a good smell of rice. It is very calming.

I had been curious about Tomoe Fan for a while, so I was searching for it. It was located at the end of a major shopping street in Fushimi! I realized that Fushimi's sake breweries are quite extensive! Tomoe Fan's direct sales store, Okinaya, gave me a small impression. The first thing that caught my eye was the sake sold by weight! I decided to buy it as a souvenir for my partner. I immediately tried a sample and it was delicious! I bought a bottle of Daiginjo Junmai sake for my partner and a bottle of 300ml for myself. The staff filled the empty bottles with sake, which was a curious sight. I also found a sake skincare lotion that can be used as a beauty lotion. I tried a sample on my hand and found it to be non-sticky and quickly absorbed. I bought a bottle of it and have been using it as a lotion since that night. Japanese sake is wonderful!

The bulk-bought sake is really delicious. You can actually have it poured from the tap right there. I heard that sake made with Fushimi water is generally sweet, but this one was very fruity and easy to drink. Even my mother, who doesn't usually drink alcohol, was having a little bit every day. I started buying it since last year for Father's Day, and this year I chose a bit more of the bulk-bought sake. I personally like it best when it's ice cold. They also have a variety of other sake available, and since it's a direct sales store (Kitagawa Honke), you can sample them. I highly recommend this place for sake lovers, especially those who prefer sweet sake.

Today, I had lunch with my good friend Mailevi-sama at Fushimi Sempriche. After that, we were guided around the town of Fushimi and stopped by here along the way. The place is located a little further from the covered shopping arcade of Otesuji Street in Kyoto. It is a directly operated retail store created by the long-established sake brewery Kitagawa Honke in Fushimi, aiming to let as many customers as possible know the deliciousness of their sake "Fuou" and "freshly polished rice". We were able to sample some sake and I purchased a bottle of junmai ginjo sake (300ml) for 481 yen, which can only be obtained here. I got a small amount for tasting at home. They pour the sake for you to measure from a tap installed on the wall. It really had that freshly made taste, which was great. I chilled it and enjoyed it at home, and it was indeed a crisp, fragrant, and delicious dry sake. This shop also sells selected rice from breweries. It seems that they store brown rice and mill it on the spot for sale. If you ever come to Fushimi, the sake town of Kyoto, be sure to visit here!! You can have a wonderful day!! Thank you for the meal. (^^♪

I didn't have plans to visit, but I happened to pass by and decided to go in. I was browsing around, not intending to buy anything, but they let me try various samples. Among them, what left a strong impression was the Junmai Daiginjo sold by weight, which was also a raw sake. I thought Daiginjo would be expensive, but the price was reasonable. At that time, I hadn't yet realized the goodness of raw sake, so I bought a regular Daiginjo to take home. Looking back now, I think it was a rich and good sake. Selling sake by weight is rare, and if I have a chance to go back, I would like to buy this.

I used to live in a town with many liquor stores but didn't drink much sake. However, a new sake brewery called Fushimizu Sake Brewery opened in the town in the spring, so I decided to learn a bit about sake. I became able to understand the taste a little bit, and I felt like buying sake from this store. The store is located on the west side of the shopping street, in front of the brewery, and on the east side of the river. I thought it might be a store for tourists before entering. However, even on holidays, I didn't see many tourists. I read that they offer a lot of tastings, but I only had one glass. I'm not sure if the conversation didn't go well or if it just didn't go in that direction. I had the sake poured from the tap on the wall into a bottle to take home and put in the refrigerator. The photo shows a 4-gou bottle for 1274 yen including tax. "I won't show your face because I don't want any stalkers," the lady said without any reaction. Other small talk went well. I recommend trying Tomio's dry sake with supermarket sashimi.

I was brought to this shop in a slightly tipsy mood. It is a shop directly managed by Kitagawa Honke, a brewery founded in 1657 and famous for its sake. It is located along the moat, a short walk from the bustling downtown area. Thanks to the excellent guide, I was led to this shop where you can sample and buy sake. It's a great shop unique to direct management. Inside the shop, they sell not only sake but also rice and other products. I had the opportunity to sample various types of sake such as Daiginjo and Junmai sake from the famous Kitagawa Honke. I have already had quite a bit to drink, so I didn't want to get too drunk. But I could drink as much of this good sake as I wanted. It's really delicious. I purchased a small bottle of Junmai Ginjo "富翁" and "Yatsuhashi Umeshu." It's also rare to have cinnamon-infused plum wine. Delicious. As I was about to leave, I noticed something – sake kasu! Not because it's a trend in the health boom (I like amazake), but I was a little interested. I went back inside and this time I tried a sample. It had a moderate sake aroma, a hint of sweetness, and a lovely feel. This is also delicious!! It says on the container that it is sake kasu of Yamada Nishiki Daiginjo aged for six months. I see, the base is good. I bought it right away. Maybe I'll make kasujiru tonight!

This is a direct-operated store of Kitagawa Honke. The brands change from time to time, and you can have them bottled on the spot. There are also several types of tastings available. Before you know it, you'll be a little tipsy. You can purchase your favorite while confirming the taste. In addition to sake, you can also buy sake lees when the season comes. They also sell carefully selected rice. On weekends, they also sell vegetables (carefully selected organic vegetables) at the storefront. Other sake breweries also have their own direct-operated stores, but this one has a user-friendly layout, making it easy to enter.

I heard that there is a Japanese sake that is a bit popular on Twitter and can be enjoyed both by drinking it and using it as a toner. I used to use Christian Dior's top line skincare products, but I heard that sake-based toner is good, so I decided to try the affordable skincare products made by Kikumasamune Brewery and I am satisfied with it. Since this sake is also highly praised, I ordered it to try it out. It seems to be a popular product as it has been constantly sold out. The taste is dry, so I won't drink it and will use it on my skin instead. I have only been using it for a few days, but my pores seem to have gotten smaller. It's amazing! Maybe it will have even more effect if I drink it. I heard that other sake sold at this store is also good. Can't wait to try them out!

Blog ⇒ [Riding on the Flowing Clouds♪] Traveling is so great, right~ Seriously, traveling is the best! Travel might be what life is all about. No, life itself is a journey. There are various encounters like people, things, and places that enrich our lives. These encounters also help us grow. My stomach has been growing steadily thanks to all the delicious food I've encountered while traveling. It's dangerous for my stomach to keep growing after turning 50... But as my remaining life gets shorter (sweat), I must enjoy these encounters even more!↑ Well, that's not the right way to go! You have to control yourself a bit! I know, but I just can't help it♪↑ I have a lazy mindset because I'm from the Showa era. I'll have just one more drink♪ Before I know it, I'm on a drinking spree♪ So yeah, the best encounter during a trip is alcohol! There's even a song called "National Sake Drinking Folk Song" (laughs) So, let me introduce the sake I encountered on my trip this time♪ This time, it's the Junmai Daiginjo sake from "Kitagawa Honke" in Kyoto♪ "Kitagawa Honke" was established in 1657, making it a long-standing establishment in Kyoto. Even in Kyoto, a history of over 300 years is highly respected. The flagship product of this sake brewery is called "Tomiou," so naturally, expectations are high... Especially since I received the Junmai Daiginjo "Ginrei" this time. With a price of 620 yen (excluding tax) for a 300ml bottle, it may seem expensive... But once you take a sip, you'll forget all about that (laughs) That's how good this sake is, so I highly recommend it♪

GW has become a tradition for my husband and I to spend time in Kyoto, but for the second year in a row, we had to give up due to the state of emergency. However, compared to last year when we couldn't even return from my husband's assignment, this year was better. We decided to enjoy some leisure time at home, savoring home-cooked meals while indulging in Kyoto's sake through ordering online. When we visited Kyoto in early April, my husband really enjoyed the Junmai Daiginjo "Tomio" that we had at Gion Moriwaki. So, this time, we ordered a one-liter bottle of Junmai Daiginjo and also tried the rice used for brewing at the brewery. My husband's taste in sake has changed over the years, from preferring dry sake to now favoring fruity and sweet Junmai Daiginjo with a rich aroma. The Tomio Junmai Daiginjo was exactly to his liking, and the bottle quickly emptied during our evening drinks. We had to rush to order more. This time, we got a set of three different Junmai Ginjo for a tasting comparison. Among the three, "Iwai" was a bit too dry for him, but all three bottles were emptied during the Golden Week, prompting us to run to the nearby liquor store (laughs). Among the four types of sake we enjoyed during the Golden Week, my husband clearly favored the Junmai Daiginjo Tomio. I think we'll order this one again next time. He really enjoyed it. Thank you for the delicious experience!

Today is New Year's Eve in Reiwa 2. The weather on Ishigaki Island is cloudy with occasional rain. The temperature is around 10-14°C, which is quite cold for Ishigaki Island, about 10°C, which is scary for this time. I had to work in the morning, but had the afternoon off. So, since it's New Year's Eve, let's have some drinks in the afternoon. I decided to try a special sake from Kyoto called "Tomio Junmai Ginjo made with all Kyoto-grown rice" that I received from a follower, Miffy, when I visited the island before. This sake is a limited seasonal and quantity sake that focuses on Kyoto. It is made by Kita Kawahonke Co., Ltd. in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto. The sake is made using all Kyoto-grown rice (koji rice: Gohyakumangoku, kakemai: Kyo no Kagayaki), Kyoto yeast "Kyo no Koto," and Kyoto Fushimi water. It is a sake with a clean and easy-to-drink taste. It pairs well with sashimi, oden, and simmered dishes. Thank you, Miffy, for the delicious sake. I look forward to your next visit.

The stylish "Anywhere Footprint Left Squad" sake was prepared on the table for the law event dinner party. Everyone was intrigued by its sophistication. We quickly uncorked it ( ̄▽ ̄) Being a daiginjo sake, it was refreshing and easy to drink, and we ended up having multiple cups (^_^;)
