After work drink at Kyoto Brewing. Love their IPA! Great food and craft beer at this brewery in Kyoto. #KyotoBrewing #IPA #beer #craftbeer #brewery #localbeer #taproom #Kyoto #KyotoFood

Kyoto Brewing's beer bar "Taproom" is a great place to enjoy freshly brewed craft beer. I sat outside under a tent with a heater, following my friend's lead. I tried their signature beers like "Ichigo Ichie," "Shintenchi Festbier," and the barrel-aged "Kodo wo Yuku," all of which were fresh and delicious. "Ichigo Ichie" was refreshing and easy to drink, "Shintenchi" had a unique bitterness that grew on me, but my favorite was "Kodo." This barrel-aged beer was elegant with a rich barrel aroma and a strong beer flavor that blended perfectly. I loved it. You can bring your own snacks, but there was also a taco food truck which paired well with the beer.

▼3 Recommended Points!
❶ Beers that are hard to come across on draft
At the taproom attached to the brewery, you can try beer varieties that are not easily found in other places in Tokyo. It's a unique opportunity to taste different kinds of beers on draft. If you happen to be there during a rotation, it's even luckier.
❷ They also sell cans and bottles
Since it's a taproom attached to a brewery, the freshness is guaranteed! You won't have to worry about the taste changing.
❸ Meeting beer enthusiasts
People who want to drink beer in such an inconvenient location, without food, are true beer enthusiasts. The happiness of spending time with such people can be found here.

Marutomi Belgian IPA/glass 700

Both "Rokuyuki French IPA" and "Marutomi" were new to me, and they were both delicious. I went at a really hot time, so the dry feeling of the Belgian yeast in "Marutomi" was refreshing. It's fun how the taste of the same beer can change depending on the season. The nearest station is probably the Kintetsu Kyoto Line's Jujo Station. It's still quite a walk, so taking a taxi from Kyoto Station is recommended. You can also visit Kyoto's tourist spots like Toji Temple and Fushimi Inari Taisha.

Travel meal. This is a brewery & taproom located about a 30-minute walk from Kyoto Station and a 15-minute walk from Kintetsu Toji Station. The taproom's business hours are Fridays from 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm, making it a bit challenging to visit, but luckily our schedule aligned and we eagerly went. The building has a factory-like atmosphere and does not have a typical dining space, but there is outdoor seating in front of the entrance, and a food truck was also present on the day we visited. The first floor has beer taps and a sales counter, while the second floor has a dining space. Since they do not serve meals, outside food is allowed, and there were also drinking water and separate trash bins on the second floor. Now, let's have some beer. All beers are priced at 700 yen each, with sizes varying between 300ml and 400ml depending on the type. "Rokuyuki Goshu no Maki" was a refreshing and perfect choice for the first drink. Feeling good, we enjoyed our second drink, "Mariko," along with the maizumi katsu sandwich we brought as a snack. It's a very elegant beer with a slightly high alcohol content and a bit of weight to it. For the final drink, we tried "Kodo wo Iku ~ Katsumyo," a saison beer made with miscellaneous grains which had a hint of acidity. It was said that the taste changes as it matures, so I would like to try it again after some aging. This brewery makes quite interesting and unique beers. The staff were all passionate about beer and very friendly, which explains why there were quite a few customers despite the location not being in a bustling area. Thank you for the meal.

After filling up on gyoza at Mister Gyoza, we walked over here. We arrived at the restaurant just before 12 o'clock. It's about a 10-minute walk from Mister Gyoza, located in a residential area about a 10-minute walk from Kintetsu Jujo Station. This is a taproom attached to Kyoto Brewing, a craft brewery in Kyoto, open only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. We bought beer inside the building and stacked the beer cases on a table outside (some tables had tents). We enjoyed standing and drinking beer (*´∀`)♪ The place opened at 12 o'clock, and beer fans quickly gathered, forming a line. They have 9 beers on tap, rotating between regular and limited editions. Since we had tried most of Kyoto Brewing's beers at TTO, we decided to try some new ones (*´∀`)♪ All beers are priced the same (700 yen), but the cup size may vary depending on the type of beer. We tried the "Shintenchi Munich Helles Kinu" (700 yen including tax), a refreshing and easy-to-drink Munich Helles with a slightly lingering aftertaste and a crafty feel. There was also a curry food truck on the premises, and some people were enjoying curry or bringing their own snacks to pair with the beer. Next time, we might consider taking out some gyoza and fried chicken from Mister Gyoza to enjoy with beer here. Thank you for the meal.

Visited after about 3 years and it's still great. Currently, only outdoor seating is available as indoor seating is not allowed. The kitchen truck this time was a food loss market turned into a kitchen car, serving food loss spice curry. They also had chicken skin ponzu fried chicken with plenty of kujo negi. The mild use of spices made it delicious. The weather was nice, and I enjoyed both new and old beers from Kyoto Brewing. Also, the staff who recently joined was very friendly!

Today's second stop was at this craft beer place! I had been checking it out for about a year, and finally got a chance to visit. It's a bit remote in a residential area, and due to the impact of COVID, you have to drink outdoors in plastic cups, which is a bit disappointing. Also, paying in cash is a hassle! [Parking Information] None in the vicinity. (★1 point ☆0.5 points for evaluation, +/- are subjective feelings, but considering cost performance, it's not an absolute evaluation) Total bill: 2100 yen. Cash only, so you have to carry your drinks outside if you purchase indoors. [Craft Beer Standard Beer Sizes] UK pint 568ml/Half pint 284ml, US pint 473ml/Half pint 236.5ml. All priced at 700 yen (varies by type). ⚫One Soup Many Colors ABV 3.5% (Table Saison) 200ml ★★★ Refreshing and fruity, easy to drink. With low alcohol content, even those who are not strong drinkers can enjoy it. But the half-sized portion is... expensive! ⚫Dawn ABV 5.0% (Belgian Pale Ale) 400ml ★★★☆ Not too bitter for a pale ale, easy to drink. ⚫Like the Black Tide ABV 5.0% (Belgian Stout) 400ml ★★★☆ + Roasted barley bitterness and a hint of sweetness deliver as expected for a stout. [Overall Impression] It's tasty, but as a craft beer, I wanted to feel more "individuality." I felt like it was overshadowed by the unique names. It's not bad, but craft beer is meant to be savored as a work of art, so the evaluation becomes more stringent.

I walked from Toji Temple and found myself in a residential area. I checked the map multiple times to make sure I wasn't lost. The buildings were not the typical concrete ones I expected, but rather simple structures. A food truck was there, and we enjoyed some snacks along with our own snacks. We planned to try at least three types of food, but the strong wind kept blowing away the plastic cups and disposable chopsticks. My companion couldn't take it anymore, so we left after just the second cup. (Tears)

Located southwest of JR Kyoto Station, further southwest from Toji Temple down the Keihan Kaido to the south, you will find "Kyoto Brewing" in a residential area on the right hand side. Founded in 2015 by three people from three different countries, this brewery specializes in Belgian and American style beers. You can enjoy freshly brewed beer at the space in front of the factory. ON TAP TODAY GLASS ¥700: 1. Ichigo Ichie 2. Ichijusshin 3. Like the Kuroshio 4. Shunkashuutou Natsu 5. Temptation of Fruit 6. Ichi 7. Ni 8. Eien ni (Forever) 9. Nangoku no Hizashi 10. Goji no Hedatari. Despite being hesitant, I decided to try "Ichijusshin." "Ichijusshin" Style: Belgian IPA ABV: 6.5% IBU: 54 "Only available for takeout due to full capacity" (Wait, outdoor seating only!?) Fresh and vibrant aroma. Pleasant bitterness. Simply delicious. Enjoyed a drink while walking through the quiet residential area. Kyoto Brewing truly lives up to its reputation. Tasty and satisfying. No food service, but outside food is allowed. Food trucks occasionally available. Closed Mon-Thu, open Fri-Sun.

NAGOMI Sunset Juice by Kyoto Brewing was finally able to try it out when the taproom was open. The relaxed atmosphere on the second floor was so cozy and the beer was amazing. Everyone there was smiling.

I went to Kyoto Brewing, a craft beer brewery in Jūjō today. They offer craft beer tastings on weekends, with a different food truck each day for snacks. I tried a limited edition beer called "Yukinoyuki," a stronger version of their regular beer "Nagoriyuki." It had a crisp taste with a high alcohol content of 7.5%. The food truck serving pizza, "Capri no Oka," offered delicious pizzas made with water from Fukui prefecture and flour from Napoli. The cheese and bacon pizza was just the right size for one person and had a great texture. I also tried another beer, "Nagoriyuki," which was a Belgian wheat ale with a fruity aroma. Overall, I had a great time enjoying these Belgian wheat ales at Kyoto Brewing.

Today, I visited a craft beer brewery in Jūjō. Kyoto Brewing was founded by three men from Wales, Canada, and the United States who started their business in Kyoto. I first heard about Kyoto Brewing at IL LAGO, where I recently enjoyed a drink. Their beers are also available at BEER PUB TAKUMIYA and Takano-ya sake shop, among others. In front of the brewery, there were simple tables and chairs set up, and many people were enjoying their beers. It seems that you can only drink here on weekends. Surprisingly, there were many foreigners as well. Inside the brewing facility, you could see tanks and other brewing equipment behind glass. There were 10 types of beers available for tasting, each priced at 600 yen. Most beers were 400ml, but there were also 300ml options. After ordering, you can enjoy your beer in front of the brewery or on the second floor. They don't sell food, so you can bring your own or purchase from the food truck parked outside. They also have a seasonal "whimsical series" released in autumn. The style is American Amber Ale, with a brown color, a strong hop aroma, and a citrusy flavor. I got some tapas from the food truck to go with my craft beer. I tried the Kuni Tamago smoked egg, which had a lovely aroma and was cut into bite-sized pieces. Drinking beer in the middle of the day was fantastic. I also tried another beer, the Mari-o limited edition brew. It's a Belgian Double IPA with 7.5% alcohol content, made with fruity Belgian yeast and malt from Belgium, giving it a unique flavor. It got me pleasantly buzzed. The brewery had a very enjoyable atmosphere, and it would be wonderful to have such a place near my home. I had a great time getting a bit tipsy in the middle of the day.
