I had lunch at "Issunboshi" at Hotel Emion Kyoto near the Kyoto Railway Museum. It was already quite late (2 pm) for lunch, but I chose the "Wagyu Sukiyaki Rice Bowl (1,980 yen)" from the lunch menu. There were also options like Wagyu Hittsumabushi, Wagyu Roast Beef Bowl, and Wagyu Yakiniku Rice Bowl. It was a luxurious dish with delicious meat soaked in plenty of sauce. It was so delicious that there was no way it could be bad. I quickly finished the contents of the rice bowl. It was a great meal!

During my trip to Kyoto, I was tired and decided to visit the yakiniku restaurant inside the hotel. I made a reservation the day before. We chose the 5,000 yen course, which included high-quality meat and dessert at the end. The atmosphere was great since it was inside the hotel. Kyoto is famous for traditional Japanese cuisine, but they also have a culture of beef. Traveling teaches you a lot of things! It was a wonderful memory for my husband and me. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Hotel Emion's yakiniku and shabu-shabu restaurant "Issun Boshi" is one of my favorite places. This time, I came to eat hamburg steak. The atmosphere is nice and even though it's a weekday, the rooms are full. I was guided to a tatami room and seated. The table in the tatami room is large and the high ceiling makes it feel comfortable. I ordered the Wagyu hamburg steak for 1500 yen (includes salad, small side dishes, rice, and soup) and my wife ordered the Wagyu roast beef chirashi for 1380 yen (includes small side dishes, rice, and soup). The Wagyu hamburg steak had a homemade feel, but it wasn't my favorite. It was tender though. I thought maybe the meat is what this restaurant does best. Lunch is reasonably priced and you can get free refills of rice. Next time, I'll come back for the yakiniku.

On my birthday this year, I stayed one night in Kyoto♪(*^o^*) The hotel dinner plan included a restaurant located in the same building. That night, it seemed like the hotel was fully booked. The restaurant also served lunch, and there were chunks of raw meat displayed in front of the store (^-^) When I arrived at the reserved time, I took off my shoes and was seated at a table with a charcoal grill in the back! It was a semi-private, calm space. I started by ordering alcohol, and there was a free drink service if you added them as a LINE friend, so I ordered a wine glass♪ The first dishes that arrived were a kimchi platter and roast beef salad! The kimchi had just the right amount of spiciness, and the salad went well with the wine ( ◠‿◠ ) The special tongue dish was thick and satisfying to eat. The three types of carefully sliced meat melted in your mouth❤︎ As for the menu item "Assorted sashimi," I thought it was fish sashimi, but it turned out to be "raw meat" haha Well, there were also seafood (shrimp, scallops), but there was meat towards the end. I was already full after eating the big meatball sushi at the end (^。^) Well, the last dessert was ice cream♪ You could choose between yuzu sherbet or raw chocolate ice cream, and we each chose a different one, but the raw chocolate ice cream was incredibly delicious❤︎ The staff at the restaurant were all young women, and their service was excellent, leaving a good impression (^ー^) A feast for a special day dinner, delicious!╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

After shopping at the Central Market, we had lunch at a yakiniku restaurant inside Hotel Emion. There was no wait, but the private rooms were full. We were seated at a table in a tatami room, which was very spacious and had a nice atmosphere. There were also private rooms and a counter, both of which looked good. I ordered the Wagyu special sirloin teppanyaki for 3500 yen including tax (comes with side dishes, soup, and rice), while my wife ordered the Wagyu special set for 2200 yen including tax. My sukiyaki was cooked on a hot plate and dipped in egg, and the meat and vegetables were delicious. I felt that it was a good value for the price. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant and would like to visit again as it is a place that is easy to drop by.

A yakiniku restaurant in a hotel serving Shinshu beef. The private rooms were all full, so we sat at a sunken kotatsu table in a tatami room. We chose the yakiniku lunch where we could eat a variety of meats over a relaxed 1.5-hour meeting. Rice was refillable, and we also got a draft beer. We had a productive meeting while each person cooked and ate at their own pace. The meat was delicious. They didn't have coffee, so we had refills of tea and then paid the bill.

The shop seems to be run by a butcher, as there were lots of flowers for the grand opening. I have been to a shop in Kitayama a few times before and the meat was delicious. I went to the new shop that just opened✨ The way the meat is cut is really impressive... the meat itself is delicious and of good quality✨ The display of meat outside makes it look like some pieces have fallen off, but that might just be how it's arranged. The prices are a bit high, maybe because it's in a hotel... but the taste is great! I hope to see improvements in their operations in the future! I will come back in 2 or 3 months to see if things have changed. It would make me really happy if this became a go-to shop since it's close to my home.

A yakiniku restaurant that opened on 11/12 inside Hotel Emion. I originally planned to go for lunch (to check it out), but I missed the lunch time so I went for dinner instead. As I approached the entrance, I saw a row of wines in front of me. I was seated at the counter seats behind the wines, facing towards the outside of the hotel (glass). The counter seats were spacious, but the space to place the dishes brought to us was limited due to the grill in between us. The meat portion seemed a bit small for the price, and it lacked a strong flavor (including kimchi). Overall, it felt like a light, elegant, slightly upscale yakiniku experience. Perhaps because they were newly opened and inexperienced, the drink I ordered at the beginning took too long to arrive, despite having many staff members. Additionally, the rice I ordered later seemed to have been left out for a while, as the outer layer was dry. This was a big downside for someone like me who loves rice. Maybe things will improve as they get more experienced, but for now, I might just stick to having lunch there if I were to visit again. There are quite a few yakiniku restaurants in this area. Overall, I didn't feel very satisfied with the experience.

A new hotel opened at the Demachiyanagi Station, and we visited a yakiniku restaurant located in the restaurant area inside the hotel, accompanied by people related to the Nishiki Market. The second floor of the hotel looked somewhat glamorous, with eel restaurants, tempura shops, sushi restaurants, and more. It had a vibe similar to a restaurant street in a shopping mall like AEON (laughs). The order was placed by the people from Nishiki Market. They ordered a variety of items such as tongue, kalbi, loin, hormone dishes, and other side dishes. There was nothing particularly outstanding, just normal yakiniku, but the low-temperature cooked liver may be a matter of personal preference. I personally couldn't handle it... Overall, regardless of the taste, it may be good for those who like the clean interior. It's not a yakiniku restaurant with a strong punch, so you can feel at ease (laughs). I developed my yakiniku taste at Sankyoshi, which used to be in Kawaramachi, which is no longer there. I was hoping for more punch...

Originally starting out as a butcher shop, the current yakiniku restaurant is run by a supermarket called I Heart in Kyoto. There are several other Imamura-named butcher shops in Kyoto as well. "Issun Boshi," located in Kitayama with its main store, is a yakiniku restaurant known for being relatively affordable and delicious, so I visited with high expectations. The interior of the restaurant is divided by a wine cellar, giving it the atmosphere of a high-end yakiniku restaurant that also serves wine. I expected the meat handling to be professional, but unfortunately, there was nothing that made me think "this meat is delicious!" The prices for each dish are set relatively high, so the dissatisfaction accumulates little by little. The low-temperature-cooked Japanese beef liver was not appetizing with its rat-like color, and the taste was disappointing. The special roast beef was also lackluster, with the fat from the marbling being too strong. The wine selection was safe and the cellar felt more like a decoration. The staff consists mainly of young women, and the service is hesitant, seeming like they are just student part-timers. I never saw anyone who seemed like the manager or supervisor. In this area, there are many other yakiniku restaurants nearby, so it's hard not to compare them. I tried visiting three times, but it only got worse each time, so I no longer feel like going back.

Visited with family. We had the recommended 2 kinds of assorted meats and 3 kinds of rare cuts, Yukkejang soup, egg soup, and assorted kimchi. The rare cut Zabuton was very delicious. It alone made the visit worthwhile. The Galbi was decent, but other than that, the overall value for money was just okay. The Yukkejang soup was too salty, so we left most of it. The kimchi was below average, so we left that too. The restaurant was new and clean, with plenty of staff and several private rooms, which was nice. However, the typical lack of proper staff training at new establishments was evident in various aspects, which unfortunately made for an unpleasant experience. Overall, considering the value for money, I don't think I'll be visiting again.
