I used to wonder why I never visited Fushimi before, being a fan of sake. But during a stroll with a friend, we came across Yellow Tail Brewery, a famous brewery known for its commercials featuring Kuni Shimizu. The entire brewery, named Kappa Country, was a free gallery with facilities for shopping and dining. I tried a 500 yen tasting set and was impressed. The cute kappa-themed dishes tempted me, but I resisted bringing more stuff home. Despite the scorching heat, the tasting area had good ventilation, and sitting in the garden was so pleasant. Everyone around me was enjoying their drinks, it felt like heaven. It was truly amazing.

Kizakura Kappa Country! Kappa kappa ♪ Runpappa ♪ Kappa Kizakura ♪ Kappa kappa ♫ So, I went to the Kizakura sake brewery and beer theme park in Fushimi! The interior of the store was quite surreal, with old Kizakura commercials playing and kappa statues around. The shop had a wide variety of beers and sake to choose from, which was exciting! This time, I ordered a sake tasting set of three different types without any snacks, so I ended up getting a bit tipsy! Let's get ready to drink, haha. Next time, I want to try their craft beer! Thank you for the meal! Here are my thoughts on the flavors: - Kizakura Enn Yamada Ho: Strong sake flavor with a soft mouthfeel. I could taste some spiciness and acidity, with a light aftertaste. - Kizakura Enn Aiyama: Sweet and fruity, with little alcohol taste and minimal spiciness. It's easy to drink, almost like water. Even women who don't like sake might enjoy this. - Kizakura Junmai Namazake: Initially strong alcohol taste, but smooth finish with a good sharpness. I could sense a bit of sweetness and bitterness, with lingering acidity at the end. Among the three, this one had the most complex flavor.

I visited the shop of Kizakura Sake Brewery and tried their tasting set. It was only 500 yen, but you get to try a good variety of sake. It felt like a good deal. I ended up wanting some food to go with all the sake I tried. The seating in the courtyard was nice and relaxing. They also have a restaurant where you can try different kinds of sake available for sale. It's a great option to consider.

Kyoto, Fushimi-ku, Shioya-cho. Teradaya, a place associated with Ryoma Sakamoto, is located near Ryoma Street shopping arcade. While exploring the sake breweries in Fushimi, I stumbled upon this shop. Inside the shop, there were many sake lees in the refrigerator, so I decided to buy some for home and souvenirs. As I ventured further into the shop, I thought they only sold sake, but it turns out they also make craft beer with labels featuring illustrations of chickens, dogs, cats, and rabbits. I was torn between which one to choose, but since next year is the Year of the Rabbit and the Year of the Cat (in countries like Thailand and Vietnam), I chose beers with rabbit and cat designs. I got a can with a rabbit design and a bottle with a cat design. I brought them home and put the beer in the fridge, then used the sake lees to make miso soup. I had plenty of sweet salmon, so I made a dashi stock with kombu and dried shiitake mushrooms, added plenty of root vegetables (daikon radish, carrot, burdock root, and taro), konnyaku, and thin fried tofu. I added white miso from Kyoto and sake lees from Kizakura, then brought it to a simmer with chopped salmon and white onions. When I sprinkled some sansho pepper on top, the miso soup made with fresh sake lees had a wonderful aroma of premium Japanese sake. It was incredibly delicious. I thought I should visit Fushimi again to buy more sake lees.

I went to Kizakura. I wanted to drink delicious beer crisply. This time, I drank "Unfiltered Yuzu IPA". The sign says, "Enjoy the refreshing aroma of yuzu and the bitterness and flavor of citrus." Hmm, this sounds good. When I drank it, the yuzu flavor was nice. It was refreshing and easy to drink. It disappeared in no time. I want another one, but I decided to go to a different shop. Sake is still the best, right? It's Fushimi after all.

♫ Kappa~ runpa~ Kappa Yellow Cherry Blossom Kappa~ bonpiripin I drank it and felt good~ Drinkable, drinkable, drinkable, drinkable, let's go, let's go, Keropp "Kizakura" is this CM☆彡(゜Θ゜)カッパッパ~ When I was in kindergarten? No, even earlier? A slightly sexy kappa wife and kappa husband. The illustrations were done by Tsutomu Kojima. He was praised for his "most elegant line drawing in the manga world" with soft curves and was loved. I also liked his satirical manga "Hige to Boing". The restaurant inside the "Kizakura Kappa Factory" surrounded by Tsutomu Kojima's illustrations in Fushimi, Kyoto, where I wanted to have a meal was closed due to shortened business hours. (゜Θ゜)カッパッパ~ Sanne! So, I decided to visit the "Kizakura Shoten" instead. (゜Θ゜)カッパッパ~ Inside the Kizakura Factory premises, there were illustrations of sexy female kappa drawn by Tsutomu Kojima that I love all over the place. Especially, I was captivated by the large mural displayed on the wall. Ah~ I love it~ It's my ideal image of a woman. My excitement went up, and even though my partner looked at me with a skeptical eye, I couldn't stop singing the kappa song~♫ (゜Θ゜)カッパッパ~ Inside the store, there were various Kizakura products lined up. They sell Kizakura's unique sake, craft beer, original goods, etc., which can only be purchased here, making it perfect for souvenirs or mementos. ⚫︎ Cool Barrel Sake (Junmai Ginjo) 900 yen A refreshing blue bottle with a refreshing taste. This junmai ginjo barrel sake can be enjoyed on the rocks with ice. It is a summer sake with the characteristic umami and richness of rice and a refreshing aroma derived from Yoshino cedar. And, I bought a souvenir(((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))↓↓ ⚫︎ Kizakura Kappa Individual Plate Tsutomu Kojima's illustrations depicting spring, summer, autumn, and winter are drawn on the plate. Kappa wife, so sexy♡ I want to use it carefully (*^◯^*) My partner also bought craft beer curry and other items. There were many other Kizakura products available for purchase♫ Next time, I would like to enjoy freshly brewed craft beer from Kyoto at the "Kizakura Sakaba" attached to the store. Thank you for the meal~♡

After enjoying the sake from Juuhachigura, we decided to head to Kizakura Sakaba, but unfortunately, the bar was already closed. However, we decided to explore Kizakura Shoten and buy something to take home instead. While browsing the store, my companion suddenly started singing loudly, completely absorbed in the song "Kappa Rappa." Later, I found out that my companion is a huge fan of Kojima Isao, the designer of the Kizakura kappa. Their excitement only grew when they found kappa plates designed by Kojima Isao in the store. I was worried they might attract unwanted attention, so I quickly bought the kappa plates to calm them down. In the end, we bought the "Kyoto Mugi Shu Curry" and "Suzunotaru Sake" from Kizakura. The curry tasted similar to Bon Curry, and the sake was like a decent junmai ginjo. Overall, it was a typical local product experience. Thank you for the meal!

I went to Kizakura. When I saw the flyer in front of the store... It's a celebration of the new era! They are selling commemorative sake. I had to get it. Inside, they were selling it. There were two types of sake, "Heisei" and "Reiwa." I got the limited set that included both. "Heisei" is a Junmai sake, and "Reiwa" is a Junmai Daiginjo. When I got home, I enjoyed both with various snacks.

At the Fushimi sake brewery, known for the Kappa anime commercial, there is the familiar brand called Yellow Cherry Blossom. Do young people not know about it? I grew up watching their commercials since I was a child. When I went to Kyoto for autumn leaf viewing, I had some time before dinner, so I visited with my colleagues who love sake. The brewery has a restaurant and a museum. They sell shot-size bottles of sake at the shop, and I tried a sake called LEO made by a wine brewer. It was a refreshing, sweet and easy-to-drink sake. It was particularly expensive, costing around ¥3,000 for a 500ml bottle if you buy it as a souvenir.

I purchased another item along with the wine manju. This time, I bought Kappa's sake kuzumochi. It comes in a masu cup with sake-infused kuzumochi inside, which is sold in a nostalgic kappa packaging. However, I cannot eat it because I cannot drink alcohol at all. Overall, it is a fun and nostalgic treat, and the affordable price makes it hard to resist buying.

Kappappa, runpappa, Kappa Yellow Cherry Blossom, Kappappa Bonpiripin, I drank a little and felt good. I can drink, I can drink, I can drink, I can drink, I can go, I can go, I can go, Kero Yellow Cherry Blossom, Yellow Cherry Blossom, soft sake, a modern taste of an old signboard, Kappappa, runpappa, yellow cherry blossom, long slit eyes, plump white skin... a very seductive kappa. The Yellow Cherry Blossom Brewery's commercial is impressively sexy without being vulgar. In Kappa Country, there is a corner in the souvenir shop where you can sample a shot for 100 yen... very fruity. The lady who came from the southern tip of Izu, also the representative of Fushimi's sake brewery, was very surprised.

Kizakura Kappa Country, a restaurant owned by Kizakura known for its Kappa, where you can enjoy a lot of alcohol in the garden. It's a nice place to take a break and have a drink. Before drinking, they show you a museum-like area of Kappa, which some may find hard to believe. But it's interesting. There's a small line for drinks, but it's worth it. I visited on a Saturday with the purpose of having lunch. I had seen the exhibits before, so I skipped them this time. There was a large gift shop. I wished they sold a greater variety of items. They offered a tasting of two types of sake and beer. Sake was 100 yen and beer was 420 yen. My companion and I tried both. The sake was "Ginjo Namazake" and "Junmai Ginjo Taruzake". I preferred the former. The beer was "Kolsch" and "Alt". I liked the Kolsch better. I prefer a slightly stronger taste for Alt. It's a shame that both the sake and beer were served in plastic containers. I hope the producers will be more conscious of the importance of the vessel for the taste.

I visited Kizakurakappa Country via Torisei Honten, starting from Teradaya. It's the sake brewery of the famous Japanese sake maker "Kizakura" in Fushimi! I didn't know that Hiroshima was a sake area until I looked at the map for sightseeing. So, I quickly got my family's approval and added it to the itinerary (lol). Therefore, even though Torisei had delicious cold sake, I resisted drinking it and went to Kizakura. I immediately went into the direct sales store and tried different cold sakes at the simple bar attached to the register for 100 yen per cup. Since it's a large-scale maker, I wish I could try more varieties, but then I might end up staggering (lol). Furthermore, I found out that the craft beer I drank in Kyoto last time is also made here, so I bought two types of LUCKYDOCK as new beers and enjoyed the malt-like one on the terrace. I drank the white one at home later, and it's "white," I guess (lol). I had fun buying a pack of sake that can be made into mizore sake!

At the horse racing track off-season in spring 2017, I wanted MYF, who doesn't like beer and prefers sake, to try it... Between the craft beer POP signs, there was secretly a sake POP sign in front of the counter (*´艸`). They were serving Yellow Cherry Blossom Daiginjo for 300 yen per small cup (I think). It was chilled in the server. As expected from Daiginjo, it had a refreshing taste with a fruity aroma. Does it go well with the horse racing track? Well, maybe not so much... But it was a perfect match for MYF's appetizers (*´∀`*)b
