Every year when I go back home, I visit this restaurant. It's a small place run by a couple, so it has a cozy atmosphere. We usually go with a group of 5 or 6 people and share different dishes, and every dish and dessert are served at the perfect timing and taste delicious. It always surprises me how good everything is.

I'm sorry for the half-eaten photo. I made a reservation for Sunday at 7 pm and the restaurant was full. The place has about 15 seats and has a cozy atmosphere. It seems like a local spot where people come to celebrate special occasions. The age group is on the older side. I had a mixed appetizer plate, pizza, and pan-fried sea bream for the main course. I also ordered a bottle of white wine. It's nice that you can take home any leftover wine. The pizza was called "Cocopazzo" and all the dishes had a gentle flavor. They paired well with the wine and made me feel relaxed and happy. I would love to go back again.

I am the type of person who gets hooked and keeps going back. Even though I went two weeks ago, I found myself wanting to go again with a friend! One of the great things about Cocopazzo is that it's easy to make a reservation even on the day of, and they are open until around 11:00, so it's perfect for a late dinner. The tuna and avocado tartare that I couldn't try last time was delicious! The crispy bread was also amazing, perfect for accompanying wine. It wasn't crowded at all this day, and we ended up being the last customers, but we were still treated kindly, which was nice. There were so many things I wanted to order again this time, that we didn't even make it to the pizza... We ended up ordering two bottles of wine and about 5 dishes for around 10,000 yen! Very reasonable!

Cocopazzo is a great Italian restaurant in Kyoto with a cozy and clean atmosphere. The lighting is nice and not too fancy, giving it a nostalgic feel. The wide range of customers, from 20 to 70 years old, shows how beloved this place is. They offer wines starting at 3000 yen per bottle, and the wine glasses are nicely chilled. The food is delicious, and I regret not trying the pizza. I will definitely be going back soon to try more dishes from their menu!

I have visited this restaurant repeatedly, drawn in by the variety of appetizers and the irresistible dishes that I can't recreate at home. My favorite appetizers include fried mozzarella, eggplant marinated in balsamic vinegar, escargot, and tripe. The pasta dishes, which change with the seasons, are also a highlight, especially the chicken liver and porcini mushroom pasta. For the main course, there are many options like beef cooked in various ways, lamb, or fish, which can be paired with a wide selection of wines. The chef always selects the perfect wine to complement the meal. The desserts are also exceptional, with tiramisu, seasonal sorbets, and apple panettone being my go-to choices. The relaxed atmosphere allows for a leisurely dining experience that can last 3-4 hours, making it a perfect place for family gatherings. This Italian restaurant never fails to impress, and I recommend going with a group to share dishes and try different wines.

This is a post about a restaurant near my home. I have been visiting this place since it opened, so it has probably been over 15 years. Everything I eat there is delicious. The appetizers in particular are so good that I want to try them all. When my husband and I go, we usually indulge in the appetizers and wine, and finish with a pizza. We have tried to order something other than pizza for the main course, but we always end up sticking to our usual routine. We never get tired of this place.

This is a review of a restaurant in Kyoto that I haven't been to in a while. I had returned to Kyoto a while back, but recently I have been hooked on this place. It's the number one ranked restaurant for members of my mileage program. I had known about it for a while, but the fact that it only opens at night made it difficult for me to visit. I love pasta, so on days when I want to eat a delicious pasta as the main dish, I often struggle to find a reasonably priced restaurant. This restaurant has space for two cars to park, and there is a coin parking lot nearby. Reservations are recommended, but I have been lucky to get a table by calling last minute when I visit around opening time at 6pm or after 9pm. The interior of the restaurant has a cozy country style with lots of wood. When you sit down, they bring you the menu and a candle. The chef reminds me of someone, maybe a more laid-back version of someone I know. The appetizers range from 600 yen each, with about 8 cold and hot options available. I always order the chef's choice of appetizers, and they never disappoint. The pasta dishes range from 1500 yen, and they offer both dried and handmade pasta. The carbonara is rich and creamy, with plenty of cheese and garlic. My favorite is the lamb ragu with handmade pasta that has the perfect texture. Everything is delicious, but some recommendations include the mashed potato salad, cheese-grilled eggplant, steak, and pasta with mackerel and fresh tomatoes. The prices are reasonable, and you can have a satisfying meal for around 3000 yen per person without alcohol. I haven't tried the desserts yet because I always leave full from the main course. I hope to try them someday.

This small restaurant has 5 tables and is always packed with customers. They have a wide selection of wines, categorized by Italian regions for easy reference, and at reasonable prices. The menu is extensive and I had a hard time deciding what to order. On this day, I had fresh oysters (you can order as few as 2), chicken liver and mushroom mousse, 8 types of appetizers, ragu pasta, risotto, and warm chocolate cake for dessert. I'm not a fan of liver, but the mousse with mushroom aroma was amazing! I heard the pasta was delicious, so I skipped the main dish and went for the pasta. There are many types to choose from, and they also have recommended dishes (maybe daily specials). The ragu pasta I had that day was rich in flavor but not too heavy, and I could have eaten more. The portion size was just right. This is a restaurant that makes you want to come back again. Even if you live a bit far, it's worth the trip!

Cocopazzo in Ichijoji is an Italian restaurant known for its escargot dish. The escargot is cooked in olive oil with garlic, herbs, and then baked in the oven, resulting in a simple yet delicious dish. I always order this because it tastes amazing. In addition, the appetizers are also delicious. I particularly enjoy the octopus and potato marinade, omelets, and carpaccio. I have been a regular at this Italian restaurant for about 15 years. Please note that there is a restriction on young children entering the restaurant.

It's a small restaurant, but very homey. I was impressed by the fact that they already had baguette sticks placed on the tables. It feels like a personal chef's touch, where you can choose from various dishes a la carte (not set meals) and enjoy the process of selecting plates. There are also various appetizers listed on the menu, and you can order as many small dishes as you like. I really want to try all the different pastas and pizzas. After much deliberation, I decided on 4 appetizers as small plates, "Squid Ink Pesceatore" pasta, and "Margherita" pizza. They were all exquisite. The squid ink pasta reminded me of the delicious squid ink spaghetti I had in Portofino, Italy. The Margherita pizza, on the other hand, was a simple yet delicious choice. The stretchy cheese and thin, crispy crust were excellent. They offer a good selection of open wines in glasses, carafes (500ml), and bottles. Although I only glanced at the wine list, the variety and prices seem reasonable. It would be even better if the prices were a bit lower. One thing I would like to see is a complete smoking ban, as there were quite a few inconsiderate customers who started smoking as soon as they sat down. I found out about this great restaurant thanks to "Tabelog." Many thanks to my fellow foodies!!

It is an Italian restaurant hidden away in a corner of Kyoto. The recommended dish is the assorted appetizers. It is a plate full of various items, satisfying and hearty. The wine selection is decent, with reasonable prices. Personally, I enjoy the pasta here, which is seasoned with plenty of oil like authentic Italian flavors. Some may find it too oily, but I think it is well-balanced. The restaurant is open late, making it convenient for diners.

I had heard rumors that this place is always crowded, so I made a reservation for the opening time. Perhaps because it was a weekday, there were only one other group of customers besides us, and no one else came in for the next two hours. I took this opportunity to order a lot of dishes. The chef's skill was impressive, and each dish that came out was quite unique. However, they were all delicious! My favorite dish of the day was the raw oysters with shallot vinaigrette. It was the first time I had enjoyed raw oysters so much that I ended up ordering more! The food was absolutely amazing! The only downside was that the counter area was cluttered with belongings, which was a bit of a shame. But I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

Ichiyoji. A mysterious town. Why is the Italian level so high here? Azuro, Antico, and this Coco Patso. All of them are excellent. Wine, glass wine for about 550 yen. Both white and red are great. From dry to sweet, they are all well done. The sweet white wine in a glass was as sweet as plum wine, but it was good for women. Next, they offer imported Italian snacks in advance because the cooking takes time. Surprisingly, they are good too. Now, the assorted appetizers with 8 items. 2400 yen. So delicious. Eat rather than listen to the description. I felt that this place values Italian authenticity and atmosphere, so I ordered the squid ink spaghetti. It was amazing. I thought the appetizer bread alone was not enough, so I added bread. French bread and sesame bread. Served with olive oil and butter in small dishes. They are well done. Of course, delicious. Escargot. There are no shells, but they are quite delicious. And then, I ordered the beef steak as the main dish. Second piatto. I tried the 300-gram beef steak. Rare is the basic cooking level. I thought about ordering it medium-rare, but I was strongly recommended, "If you eat it rare and it doesn't suit you, we can cook it medium-rare for you, how about that?" In other words, they have confidence and commitment to steak. The beef steak arrived. Even though it's 300 grams, it's enough for two people. It's huge. The outside is properly cooked, and the inside is really rare beef. The seasoning is authentic Italian with only salt and herbs. Yes, everyone misunderstands but pineapple, garlic, or sauce are actually inappropriate for steak. The best way to eat beef is simply to sprinkle it with rock salt and grill it. At most, squeeze lemon over it. This is truly the most delicious way to eat steak. The owner knows this. That's why the content is like this. It's really delicious. I feel like I could come to this restaurant and pay 2900 yen just to eat the steak. However, I couldn't finish it here. They have a set menu from appetizers to pasta, meat/fish dishes, dessert, and coffee for 5500 yen, but that's probably too much to eat. This time, I ate a la carte, had another glass of wine, and it was about 1100 yen for two people. I couldn't eat dessert and coffee. Next time, I'll reduce the amount and try again. They serve lunch too. They are open until midnight, so it's perfect for bringing in guys, girlfriends, or hostesses when you're hungry. There are about 10 seats, and it's always full. It's better to make a reservation. Just one thing, it's not good to place empty wine bottles in the toilet, as Azuro does the same. I want the toilet to be decorated in an Italian style. By the way, I had the uneaten steak packed to go. I wrapped it in an Italian newspaper and heated it in a toaster the next day, but it was delicious. Oh, Kyoto citizens, you're lucky. Kobe and Tokyo might not be able to compete with this. Even with a deficit, the food culture of Kyoto citizens is very rich. I want to continue to love Ichiyoji, the Italian triangle. Antico is "Straight up, comprehensive Italian. Artistic." Azuro is "A delicious countryside eatery with a clear stream." Coco Patso is "Hearty, just like Italy." This is the evaluation. No, it's not expensive. For this content. Interior of the restaurant: Like an old Western-style restaurant. Similar to the famous set meal shop Ninjin in Ichiyoji. Toilet: Western-style. It's reasonably spacious, so women can touch up their makeup. Bill: Table check Special mention: They charge 250 yen just for sitting at the table in an Italian way. Well, don't complain. It's good because it's delicious. Parking: Maximum of 2 cars. Payment by credit card: Acceptable.

It is a very cozy and hidden gem-like homey restaurant. I recommend the assorted appetizers, as they offer a variety of small dishes that pair perfectly with wine. I ordered a la carte pasta, pizza, fish dish, and meat dish, and each one was delicious, making me enjoy my drinks even more. It seems like the chef is cooking alone, so the dishes come out at a relaxed pace. I would like to visit again when I have plenty of time.

I was wandering around looking for a place to have dinner, and unexpectedly stumbled upon this small Italian restaurant. It was so tiny that I almost passed by without noticing it. Since it was late at night, I decided to take a chance and went inside. Upon opening the door, I was surprised to see a long Asian-style curtain hanging there... I almost turned around and left, but decided to stay. The restaurant had only five small tables, and the lighting was dimmed, creating a romantic atmosphere. They lit a candle on the table when I sat down. It could be a nice spot for a date. Looking at the menu, they offered set courses starting from 3500 yen and a la carte dishes starting from around 600 yen. I was a bit hesitant since it was my first time there, so I opted for the 3500 yen course. I wanted to have wine, but they didn't offer half bottles, so I settled for a glass. Unfortunately, the glass was quite warm, which was a bit surprising. The wine, however, was delicious. The appetizer was a platter of about seven different dishes, but there was no explanation of what they were, so it was a bit confusing. The octopus and white bean tomato stew was tasty. This was followed by a mini salad, three types of bread, butter, and olive oil. For the main course, you could choose from the menu, but there were additional items with extra charges, which was a bit unclear. I think the dish was called Cannelloni, a large macaroni filled with meat sauce and topped with white sauce, served as a gratin. The taste was good, but the portion was small and not particularly outstanding. I believe they could enhance the flavor by adding more herbs and spices. For dessert, they served plum sorbet, tiramisu, and a beautifully arranged fruit plate. The sorbet was okay, but the tiramisu was delicious. I ended the meal with a cup of coffee and the total bill came to around 4400 yen. They also charged a service fee, which I found a bit pricey considering the overall experience. With such an extensive menu, I think they should focus on serving fewer dishes but ensuring they are of high quality.

Last autumn, I was invited by a friend who loves Italian cuisine to drive all the way to the Takano area. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was a cute little place, so I honestly didn't have high expectations. As we entered and looked around the casual interior, I felt relaxed and ready to enjoy the meal. From the appetizers to the pasta, main course, and dessert, everything was delicious. But what left a lasting impression was the foie gras and mushroom mille-feuille! The flavors were so deep and rich that words cannot do it justice. I think it's safe to say it was the best foie gras dish I've ever had. I still remember how delicious it was, and I really want to visit the restaurant again, but the location... It's just not within my usual range, so I keep putting it off. I'm considering going back this autumn to indulge in their porcini mushrooms at least once.

A small and slightly hard-to-find restaurant in Ichijoji that I really love. They have a wide variety of dishes, so I always have trouble deciding. They offer a selection of small appetizers, pasta, and a main course. The pasta dishes are all delicious, and I especially recommend the roasted pork. I hope it remains a hidden gem for a long time.

I had heard from a foodie friend about a really delicious Italian restaurant in Kyoto, so I was looking forward to visiting it for the first time. The cozy little restaurant had only about 16 seats and was fully booked with reservations. Reservations are definitely necessary on weekends. The atmosphere was really nice. The menu had a variety of options from appetizers to pasta, pizza, meat, fish, and dessert. There were also daily specials written on a blackboard. Although I don't drink, my friend mentioned that they have a wide selection of wines. I wasn't very hungry that day, so I was thinking of just ordering a la carte pasta and an appetizer platter, but ended up getting the set menu for ¥3500, which included an appetizer platter, bread, choice of pasta, pizza, or risotto, salad, dessert platter, and a drink. The value for money was really good, and I left feeling full. The appetizer platter had a variety of items like ham, terrine, and marinated eggplant beautifully arranged, showcasing the popularity of the restaurant. The squid ink seafood pasta, lemon cheese cream sauce pasta, and prosciutto pizza that my friends and I ordered were all delicious. The pizza had a particularly tasty crust and strong flavors that went well with drinks. The dessert platter and coffee were also included, making it a very filling meal. The service was a bit slow probably due to the full house, but it was a perfect place for a casual yet special dining experience with friends or a loved one.
