The restaurant is located just to the right as you exit Ayabe Station South Exit, making it very easy to find. There doesn't seem to be a parking lot, so you'll have to use the municipal parking lot in front of the station. It used to be free for 2 hours, but now they charge a minimum of 150 yen. Many stores around the station do not have parking lots, so it would be nice for the community development to have at least an hour of free parking. Anyway, the restaurant has a cozy izakaya atmosphere with rows of sake bottles displayed. Looking at the lunch menu, you'll find a variety of options like set meals, rice bowls, noodles, and sushi. I ordered my favorite dish, the fried chicken set meal (1080 yen), with an extra serving of rice. After a short wait, the food arrived. Wow, the large pieces of fried chicken were beautifully presented on a big plate. Interestingly, they were fried in a way that created a crispy texture, almost like tempura. The inside was juicy and well-seasoned, but they also provided salt for seasoning, which was a nice touch. The salad was generous, perfect for vegetable lovers. Instead of pickles, they served homemade pickled mountain vegetables, which I enjoyed. The meal was delicious overall and worth the price, similar to a tonkatsu set. I'm curious about their healthy bento box and tempura, so I might try them next time if I get the chance. However, the lack of parking is a bit inconvenient. I hope the city of Ayabe considers improving parking facilities for the sake of community development. Thank you for the meal.

March 13th. I'm in Kyoto for work. I'm staying in Ayabe City. For dinner, I went to Ayabe Station. I visited a new izakaya called Ajishirube Tatesan. It's a clean and spacious place. I sat at a table by the wall on the right side. First, I toasted with a Shikuwasa Sour. Let's order more dishes. The small scallops in the appetizer were fresh and delicious. I started with chilled tofu with salt. The Datemaki egg was fluffy and beautifully yellow. Then, I tried the Chikuwa tempura, which had a nostalgic taste. The grilled local chicken was simple but tasty. I also enjoyed the Seseri, with its unique texture. The onion slices were a healthy choice. Lastly, while my companion had onigiri and soba, I couldn't resist ordering the fried chicken set meal I had been eyeing at the counter. The crispy fried chicken was delicious. I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

The smell of cigarettes from the person sitting at the counter ruined the meal. I quickly ate and left the restaurant.
