I have visited this place several times! The shop has glass windows, and you can see the line-up of various breads from outside, which gets me excited (lol). The curry bread and fried anpan are served hot, right after they are fried, so the moment of biting into them while they are still hot is pure bliss! I received a complimentary iced coffee with a purchase of over 1000 yen, so I enjoyed the bread with it (^^)

My go-to breakfast on the Shinkansen is always the cream cheese tekket from Kyoto Taishiman. It's a large cream cheese overflowing from the bread with extra-long bacon and plenty of black pepper. The spiciness of the black pepper balances out the richness perfectly, making it both visually appealing and delicious. It may be more expensive than Carne or McDonald's breakfast, but starting the week with this luxurious treat gives me the energy I need for the week ahead!

I visited this place while stopping by the Docomo shop in Nagai. It was around 3 pm on a Sunday. As I walked around, I noticed there was only one other customer inside. I couldn't figure out what to choose as there were no plates to display the items. Unfortunately, they were out of the pie and sandwiches that were advertised on the wall. I ended up getting a chilled cream bun and a mushroom tartine. I described the items to the staff and they got them for me. There was seating outside where I enjoyed the cream bun, which had a deliciously rich cream filling. Despite a steady stream of customers, no one seemed to leave after making a purchase. It turns out they were waiting for freshly fried curry buns. I went back inside and learned that you can choose between single and double cheese curry buns. They also had freshly baked melon buns available. While waiting for my curry buns, I enjoyed a melon bun outside. The cookie part was crispy, and the dough underneath was fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. Even though I had just eaten a cream bun, I couldn't resist the delicious melon bun. The staff were friendly and I look forward to coming back to try the freshly fried curry buns next time.

Visited the bakery based on a recommendation from a colleague. Ended up buying too many delicious pastries - curry bread with cheese, croissant, condensed milk bread, and two sandwich boxes for a total of 2,001 yen. The croissant was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The curry bread was recommended fresh out of the fryer, and they even offered complimentary coffee. The bakery has parking available for one car. The Sunday bread is usually ready around 10 am. Overall, a great experience with delicious pastries.

Arrived before 1 o'clock on Saturday. Nagaike Station is located in a quiet residential area with no convenience stores nearby. As you climb a little hill, you suddenly come across a stylish bakery. The roast pork cutlet, salted red bean butter, and curry bread were all delicious with firm bread dough. When I spent over ¥1000, I received a complimentary iced coffee, which was a lifesaver in the scorching heat. Happy families with children kept arriving, and the shop looked lovely against the backdrop of the summer blue sky.

I arrived before 2:00 PM on December 30th. There were no customers when I arrived. By the time I made my purchase and left, about 4 groups of people had arrived one after another, and the store was full. The parking lot is small, only enough for about 2 small cars. They offer free coffee, which was delicious. The shop had a very stylish and traditional Kyoto feel. The bread was also delicious.

I purchased a bread from Kyoto Daishiman called "France Pan" for the first time. It was filled with roast ham, margarine, and onions mixed together. The margarine was thinly spread, almost making me wonder if it was really there. The taste of the onions was more impactful than the margarine. The onions were finely sliced and balanced perfectly with the roast ham. The France Pan was palm-sized, which I found to be just the right size.

As Typhoon No. 24 approached, I finished work early feeling like this was the only day. I headed to the shop. After crossing JR Nagase Station in pouring rain, I walked for a while and found the shop. There is a parking space for one car next to the store. I parked my car and went inside, where there was a space equivalent to about 2 tatami mats...maybe a bit exaggerated?? It felt more like 3 tatami mats. They cleverly used the space to display pies, sandwiches, and bread. After some hesitation, I decided to go for the pie-like tarts: Fig Pie, Banana Pie, and Yellow Peach Pie - 3 for 1,000 yen. Maybe it's a rainy day special (laughs). I also got a Aged Beef Curry Bread for 250 yen and a Cream Cheese and Bacon Sandwich for 400 yen. I took them home and immediately heated up the curry bread in the microwave. The dough was moist and the curry was well blended. However, the portion was a bit small... (laughs). The products labeled as pies were more like tarts. The dough was crispy, and the fruits on top were different for each flavor. My favorite was the Cream Cheese and Bacon Sandwich. I toasted it in the oven until it was slightly crispy. The crispy exterior and moist interior, combined with the cheese and bacon, made it delicious. However, at 400 yen... I'm not sure about the price. Nevertheless, let's continue to support businesses in Joyo! Thank you for the meal. (*^-^*)

A stylish bakery located in Kyoto Joyo, surrounded by trendy homes. Here, Daishiman Tomoko proposes a lifestyle with bread. Based in Joyo, Kyoto, using delicious ingredients from Kyoto, New Zealand, and around the world, they offer pies and sandwiches that promote beauty and health. I waited a few minutes for the fried bread to be ready. I also got to sample the bread. There are tables and chairs outside, so you can enjoy your meal outdoors on sunny days.

I forgot to take a photo, but I bought a variety of items. Two items that stood out to me were a bread with a long sausage inside and an olive bread. The olive bread had small chopped olives mixed into the dough, which I found to be delicious despite my preference for larger olive chunks. The flavor of the olives blended well with the bread, creating a unique taste that I enjoyed, especially when paired with wine. On the other hand, the long sausage bread was disappointing. Priced at over 600 yen, I had high expectations, but was let down by the curry sauce inside. The sausage itself was not tasty, with a low-quality texture and flavor that was unappealing. The bread was good, but the poor quality sausage stood out. My son also agreed with my assessment. Overall, the bread dough was delicious, but the other ingredients used were lacking. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere of the shop was pleasant. I may consider revisiting in the future to see if there have been any improvements.

In front of Nagaike Station is a residential area with wide sidewalks. After walking for 2-3 minutes, you will see a yellow sign. You can't enter the store, but you can point to the bread through the plastic curtain and have it handed to you. In the morning, the weather was nice and customers arrived one after another by car or bicycle.

Recently, there is a trend of stopping by a bakery for shopping during a morning walk, and this time I made a purchase at this shop in the morning. The staff greeted me energetically from the morning, which was very impressive. Due to space constraints, the available bread may vary depending on the time of day. This time, I tried the freshly made curry bread, and the fluffy texture of the dough was fantastic. Additionally, the balance of sweetness and spiciness in the curry inside was excellent, making it very delicious. The shop had a clean and inviting atmosphere, and I definitely want to come back. Thank you for the meal.
The restaurant operates by taking orders face-to-face, one group at a time. They first take orders for freshly fried curry bread, and on weekends they also offer cheese curry bread. I personally like the chorizo and garlic sprout bread. The freshly baked bread is crispy and juicy, and very delicious. They also have small tarts, cream puffs (both cold and regular), melon bread, colorful bread with dried fruits, croissants, and fruit sandwiches which are all tasty. In the summer, they serve delicious shaved ice. I feel like going back multiple times.
