Opened in January, this Italian restaurant near Fushimi Ward Office is bustling with local housewives during the daytime. In the latter half of February, at 6:30 pm, the place was packed with families with small children, housewives, and female customers. When we mentioned that we were a group of three for a reservation, the table seats were full, so we were offered counter seats, which we gladly accepted. The menu featured seasonal vegetables with producer names, fresh fish, Kyoto beef, and Kyoto pork, showing a strong connection with local farmers and producers. We started with Italian beer and ordered homemade ham and prosciutto cotto. Delicious and moist, not too salty, easy to eat. The side dish of broccoli-like vegetable was a pleasant surprise. Next, we ordered a half portion of assorted appetizers. Sardines, salmon, mortadella, coppa... colorful vegetables and lots of meat, great value for money. We followed with a bottle of red wine in the mid-price range. When our friend expressed a desire for cheese, the chef asked about our preferences and recommended Gorgonzola gnocchi, which was absolutely amazing. Rich and creamy sauce that spread throughout the mouth. We then ordered a white wine recommended by the chef, which was a big hit. Feeling full, we regretted not being able to try the Kyoto beef or pasta, but the chef recommended fried Shirako, which was served in a way that was easy to eat for three people. Crispy on the outside, tender and sweet on the inside. The bill came to 4,000 yen per person for Italian beer, two bottles of wine, and various dishes. A place where you can enjoy high-quality Italian cuisine à la carte while drinking like at a bar. I might visit alone next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
