Located near Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto, there is a shop called "Kamo no Suguki Hanbaisho" that sells Kyoto's famous pickles such as Suguki, Senmaizuke, and Shibazuke. One of my favorites is the pickled turnip, known for its sweet and sour flavor that is quite addictive. The pickles are made using a traditional method that has been passed down for over 300 years, and are produced by farmers rather than commercially. These pickles are only available in winter, so now is the perfect time to enjoy them. Highly recommended! They also offer nationwide shipping. Visit their website for more information: http://www.suguki.jp/syohinnogocyumon.html

There is no parking lot, so I bought it on my way to Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. The location is a bit hard to find, but it is located on the south side of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, facing Imadegawa Street (next to the dorayaki shop Ino no Me, which is recommended for its delicious skin and sweet bean paste). Suguki is a type of turnip that is a winter delicacy and a specialty of Kamigamo. It is sold by weight at a shop, priced at 340 yen per 100 grams. It is not pre-cut, but sold by the piece. The taste is natural and delicious, without any additives, offering a simple and natural flavor. Thank you for the meal.
