Lunch is also served here (^_^)/ There are 5 counter seats in front of the teppanyaki grill, so I sat there! It's hot, haha. ◇Today's Order◇ Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki set meal for 850 yen. You can choose the amount of rice (large, medium, small) and rice & miso soup refills are free! During lunchtime, you can also get a drink (coffee, oolong tea, or orange juice) for an additional 100 yen each! It's hot, but sitting in front of the teppanyaki grill allows you to see the cooking process, so it's like a premium seat... The staff handling the teppanyaki grill is skilled and it's impressive to watch. They start by making a thin batter and sprinkling bonito powder on it, then adding cabbage, bean sprouts, tenkasu, and pork. For yakisoba, they boil it like ramen, then pour two types of sauce on it before flipping it over the main dish on the grill. Finally, they crack a raw egg directly on the grill, make a sunny-side-up egg, and sprinkle it with sauce, bonito powder, and nori. If you don't want bonito or nori, you need to let them know in advance. The counter seats have the okonomiyaki brought to you directly on the grill, while the table seats have it cut into 6 pieces and served on a plate. Cutting the okonomiyaki is also fun, but Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki has less binder and tends to fall apart, so it can be a bit tricky... In the end, I had to rearrange the fallen apart okonomiyaki on the plate with sauce and nori to make it look presentable... haha. There are two types of okonomiyaki sauce on the table, one sweet and the other labeled as super spicy. Even though I'm not good with spicy food, I found the spicy sauce to be tolerable and even enjoyable enough to use actively. The lunch was quite filling, so it might be a good idea to share it with someone. I would definitely visit this place again if I have the chance!
