Today, I came here. It's an old, run-down restaurant along the road leading to Yodoyabashi Racecourse from the local area. I arrived at 12:50... The dimly lit, well-worn interior has a kitchen space in the back, a large U-shaped counter seat on the right, and three table seats by the window on the left. The retro atmosphere, like a drive-in from the Showa era, feels like time has stood still, which is quite nice. It's run by six veteran men and women. The menu mainly consists of Western-style dishes, but they also have ramen and offer takeout bento boxes. A unique feature is that if the four-digit number chosen by the restaurant matches the license plate number, the meal is free, and they offer half-price service for birthdays. According to reviews, the "half-moon bento" seems to be popular, so I ordered it... After a while, it arrived. It came in a crescent-shaped plastic bento box, with miso soup and pickled radish on the side. Inside, there was a small hamburger in the shape of a rice bag, a white fish fry, spaghetti at the bottom, shredded cabbage, and ham. The hamburger was topped with demi-glace sauce and had a solid texture. It wasn't juicy, but when chewed well, the flavor of the meat came through, and it was delicious. The white fish fry was also freshly fried and hot, with a good balance of tartar sauce, and it was quite tasty. Even the simple spaghetti on the side turned out to be a meat sauce with ground meat mixed in. The miso soup was a regular red miso soup with tofu. I finished it in no time, just the right size. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but thinking about how this place has been around for over half a century in such a remote location, it makes sense. Wow, everyone knows some really good restaurants! Service was good. Overall, a satisfying meal. Personal rating: wheelchair accessibility - average, restroom not checked, ample parking on site.
