There are no signs, so it may be hard to find at first. I ordered the Strawberry Eton Mess with a drink for ¥1600 including tax, choosing Earl Grey tea. The Eton Mess was beautifully presented with crispy meringue, whipped cream, plenty of strawberries, and was simply delicious. I hope they bring back this seasonal menu item next year. The cafe only serves coffee on Thursdays and Fridays, accepts cash only, and does not take reservations or hold seats.

I visited the restaurant around 7:00 on a regular weekday, which happened to be their set meal day. It was the last set meal day of the year. There were two other customers when I arrived, but by the time I left, there was only one table left to be filled. Today's set meal was the spring roll set for 1500 yen. The spring roll was packed full of ingredients and delicious. The black pepper on the salad added a nice flavor that complemented the spring roll perfectly. The simmered dish and miso soup were also tasty, despite being lightly seasoned. Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal.

It wasn't a traditional Japanese house or a townhouse, but had a unique appearance. I opened the door with a creak and took off my shoes at the entrance, saying hello as I entered. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it had become a cafe for solo customers. There were about 10 single seats facing the wall. There was a sign saying no photography inside the store. It seemed like it was okay to take photos of 1 or 2 items that you ordered. I ordered the following: - Strawberry Eton Mess with a drink (Cafe au lait) - 1500 yen Crispy meringue with a generous amount of sweetness and gentle whipped cream. Delicious ♡ The whipped cream was not too sweet, so I could eat as much as I wanted. It was on par with popular cafes. Since one drink was included, I decided to just have the Eton Mess, as you would get another drink if you had two. I wished I could order other cakes individually since there were more I wanted to try. It was a solo cafe with a two-hour limit, so it was quiet and perfect for reading. I was planning to leave if there were people waiting, but it was consistently 70-80% full. I was able to relax and enjoy the delicious dessert. Thank you for the meal.

A small, quiet restaurant with no signboard. It took me two years to finally step inside, despite passing by frequently and knowing of its existence. The lunch that day was a simple dish of root vegetables and chicken stew, served with brown rice and miso soup. It felt healthy compared to my usual ramen diet. I was pleasantly surprised by the well-cooked root vegetables, gentle flavors, and low-salt miso soup. The dressing on the tofu and seaweed salad had the strongest taste. I had the Eaton Mess again and a bitter caramel pudding. I savored each spoonful of pudding, watching the black syrup cover the soft skin of the pudding. As I drank my coffee, I reminisced about the coffee jelly parfait and hoped to try it again someday.
