They started serving lunch only on weekends and holidays from the September long weekend. Previously, they only offered dinner and pre-ordered bento boxes, so this is great news for housewives. The meal included roasted duck, rolled omelette, pumpkin and taro stew, and agar jelly. The rolled omelette was homemade and delicious. They even had conger eel sashimi! I hadn't had any this summer, so I was thrilled. The squid and tuna were fresh, and the hamachi was super thick. The tempura had two shrimp! The sweet potato, bean sprouts, eggplant, and shiso leaves were crispy and delicious. The meal also came with steamed egg custard, rice, pickles, and coffee for only 1080 yen. It was a very satisfying and delicious lunch. Thank you for the feast.

The snack bar lady at the back of the alley had been recommended to me, so I wanted to try it out. It was a unique place with a commercial refrigerator outside, which caught my attention. It was a rare sushi restaurant in this area. The place looked a bit rundown, but I thought the sushi must be good, so I decided to give it a try. It was a weekday night and there were no other customers. The place had a counter more like an izakaya than a sushi restaurant, so I sat at the counter. There was a family sitting in the back tatami area. As I was thinking, three regular customers came to the counter. I ordered a sashimi platter and had some sushi made for me. The master and the assistant lady were the only ones running the place. There was a sign that said "Daisin Castle Hill Store," but I asked if there were other stores, and they mentioned there used to be stores in Tanabe and Ogura. The sushi was decent, nothing too special. The atmosphere felt more like an izakaya than a sushi restaurant. The regular customers at the counter did not seem to be eating sushi. I'm not sure what happened after we left (^_^) I felt like the prices were a bit high considering the taste and atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.

When I entered the shop, a lady who seemed like the owner showed me to a tatami room. The interior of the shop is not flashy, and the menu is handwritten and changes depending on the season. As the name suggests "Fish Daishin," the menu is rich in sashimi, seafood dishes, and sushi. In the winter, if you make a reservation in advance, they can also accommodate requests such as anglerfish hot pot or yellowtail shabu-shabu, making it a convenient place for parties or gatherings.

Due to work, I often receive bento boxes, and recently there are various restaurants offering catering bento boxes. I happened to have this restaurant's bento box two times in a row. Based on their website, they seem to have absolute confidence in seafood. However, it seems that seafood is quite challenging for catering bento boxes, so this time the bento box had steak as the main dish. The quality of the meat was quite high, comparable to bento boxes from specialized meat shops. This restaurant is actually located not far from my home, so I would like to visit the restaurant and try their seafood. I assume the quality is quite impressive. I am looking forward to it. By the way, the other ingredients in the bento box were also carefully made, which I appreciated.
