Near the Miyakoshi City Hall, there is a shop called "Casa Trent" along Route 24. The sign that says "Cafe Lunch" is very eye-catching, so I had been wanting to visit for a while and finally got the chance today. There are about 5 parking spaces next to the shop, making it easy to stop by with a car, motorcycle, or bicycle. When I entered the shop, the gentleman at the counter recommended a spacious table for me, so I sat there. I ordered the lunch set for ¥1,000, which was recommended on the blackboard near the entrance. The shop has about 7 tables and can accommodate around 20 customers. Utada Hikaru's music was playing in the shop, and there were many solo customers. The staff consisted of the gentleman and lady who greeted me, and there might have been another person in the kitchen. About 15 minutes later, the food was brought to me. The set included a large plate with tonkatsu, shrimp fry, two small side dishes, rice, miso soup, and pickles. There were also a few pieces of tempura and pumpkin salad on the side. I started with the miso soup, which had a mild flavor but was a bit lukewarm. The tonkatsu was a bit heavy on the breading, and the shrimp fry was average. The sauces were also typical store-bought tonkatsu and tartar sauces. The tempura included pumpkin, soba wrapped in nori, and bell pepper, with the soba wrap being particularly delicious. The pumpkin salad was decent. The side dishes included pork belly with daikon and egg stew, and hijiki, both of which were average. The rice was slightly soft, with an okay flavor, overall falling in the middle range. The lunch set also offers a daily special for ¥600 (Type A) and pork kimchi fried rice for ¥700 (Type B), which may be sufficient for a satisfying meal. Overall, the cost-performance ratio was decent, with average taste, atmosphere, and service, with the gentleman being fairly friendly. Rating: 3.5 stars (69/100).
