チリペッパ~
Located in a remote area in the southern part of Kyoto, this hot spring has a reputation for serving delicious food at its restaurant. I was curious, so I decided to visit during lunchtime on a weekday. You can use the restaurant even if you don't use the hot spring. The parking lot is quite spacious, which is nice. Even though I didn't use the hot spring, the counter area is shared with hot spring users. I was given a wristband that is used for payment when I handed over my shoes key. Walking through a nice curtain, I entered the restaurant. It was incredibly spacious with tables lined up everywhere. I randomly chose a seat and looked at the menu. I was tempted by the set with a bowl dish, but I ended up ordering the "Delicious Curry Udon Set for 1009 yen including tax." You can choose the spiciness level from normal, medium, or hot, and I chose medium this time. The restaurant was about 30% full, probably because it was a weekday. The customers included office workers, families, and solo diners. After a short wait, my order arrived. The curry udon was only filled halfway in a huge bowl. It seemed like a small portion, but actually, the bowl was gigantic! It was over 25cm in diameter, like a washbasin! If it was filled to the top, I wouldn't have been able to finish it. I tried the broth, and it had a good thickness that I like in curry broth. When I tasted it, the medium spiciness level was just right. It was delicious and I could have drunk more of it. By the time I finished, I was sweating a lot. Oh no, I'm sweating, and now I feel like going into the hot spring. The udon noodles were not too firm or too soft, just the right chewy texture. The dish included beef, onions, chopped fried ingredients, chopped green onions, fish cake, and mitsuba leaves. Mixing it with rice to make a curry bowl was incredibly tasty. This is the charm of curry udon. There was also minced cutlet, which was crispy on the outside and tender inside when freshly fried. With a wide range of menu options, it seems like I can enjoy coming here multiple times. Next time, I want to have a meal after soaking in the hot spring. Thank you for the meal.
