I went on a trip and waited for over an hour to finally get into a popular restaurant I wanted to try. It was hidden in a cozy spot and had a lot of impact on Instagram. Once inside, the staff were polite and attentive. When the food arrived, it was even more impressive in terms of presentation and portion size. The taste was delicious and if I ever go back to Kyoto, I would definitely want to eat there again. The prices were reasonable, so bringing around 2000 to 3000 yen per person would be enough for a satisfying meal.

I visited this restaurant after seeing it featured on "Chachaire Monday". I tried the A5 Wagyu Ribeye with just the right amount of ikura topping. The ribeye, as the name suggests, was thinly sliced and may not be very filling for men. It is served quite rare due to being seared. The plate being white can make it look like there is blood mixed with the meat juices, which may be off-putting for those who don't like their beef in that state. The restaurant was crowded but organized with the use of tickets. The space is small, so it's understandable. It seems to cater more towards women, as the portion size might be a bit small for men. The taste was decent, but I probably won't revisit.

The meat was just right in terms of fat content and tenderness! We first dipped it in the sauce provided on the table! Then we poured some dashi broth over it. The dashi broth was delicious on its own, but it was light in flavor, so it didn't add much taste when poured over the meat. Finally, we topped it with sauce and condiments! This way of eating is highly recommended. There was a variety of condiments, so we could enjoy different flavors! The stylist who took care of me, even though we are the same age as my son, recommended this shop known as the "Representative Girl from Okayama Prefecture." It's located right next to Yasaka Shrine, and you might be surprised to find a shop here... but it's on the 3rd floor of a building, so it makes sense. It's a super popular place, so when I arrived 30 minutes before opening, there was already one group waiting. More and more people kept coming, and by opening time, there was a line longer than the available seats. I was thinking of trying the famous overflowing seared rib roast that's popular on Instagram, but I ended up choosing the most expensive one. Well, it was delicious! However, it seems like it's better to go for the one that looks good on Instagram after all.

It was located on the third floor of a kimono shop right next to Yasaka Shrine. It was a bit hard to find as it's a hidden gem, but I finally found it after passing by several times. I saw the A5 Wagyu beef dress on Instagram, and you can choose various toppings such as sea urchin, scallops, and salmon roe. When it was brought to me, I got excited. The taste was amazing! The rib roast was delicious! The beef comes without any salt, so it's quite plain. But when you pour plenty of the broth provided on the table, it brings out the sweetness and flavor of the meat, making it delicious. The seafood was fresh, and the meat and seafood bowl had great value for money. The tea-soaked rice was not to my liking as it tasted a bit fishy, so I recommend pouring lots of the broth on the table instead. I would love to eat here again.

I visited around 2 pm on a Sunday and had to wait for about an hour. The restaurant has around 30 seats. I ordered a topping of ikura. The portion looked very filling. As I ate, I found out that you can pour dashi over it and eat it like ochazuke.

Since starting to write reviews, this was my first time visiting a place outside of Osaka, and this time I came to Kyoto to see the cherry blossoms. Everywhere was crowded, and I was unsure where to go until I remembered this restaurant that I had researched before, so I decided to give it a try. I was quickly seated, maybe because it was late in the day (visited at 2 pm on a Saturday). I had a dinner reservation at 5 pm, so I decided not to add any toppings to my order to save room for dinner. Taste review: I ordered the A5 Wagyu Rib Roast x2, which looked amazing and was very Instagram-worthy. The menu had instructions on how to eat it (similar to how you eat hitsumabushi). I tried it as is first, and the meat just melted in my mouth, it was delicious! Although it was already satisfying on its own, I can see why people would want to try adding toppings. The condiments provided were varied, so it didn't get boring. I also tried putting it in the bowl provided and making ochazuke, which was also delicious. I also ordered a highball and a cola, but they didn't come even after I finished eating, so I decided to cancel them and ask for the bill. The staff apologized and quickly brought the bill, which was helpful. Since I had dinner planned soon, not adding toppings left me feeling slightly unsatisfied, so I think the portion size is more suited for adding toppings. However, adding toppings would increase the cost, so it depends on your budget. I'll definitely try adding toppings next time! It was delicious!

I entered the restaurant at 11:00 am on a regular day (right after opening) with no waiting time. I ordered the A5 Wagyu beef rib roast. It arrived in about 10 minutes. I followed the instructions on how to eat it as explained in the menu. The first bite was amazing - the meat just melted in my mouth! I have never had such tender meat before. It was really delicious! Then, I tried adding the condiments. The spicy one on the left was so good! I was happy that there were unlimited condiments to try. Everything was delicious! When I poured the broth over it, it became incredibly tasty! The best way to eat it is to add condiments, then eat the meat, egg, and rice together with the broth all at once! It was unbelievably delicious! The price was high, but I think it was worth it!

I happened to see this restaurant while taking a walk around Gion. I ordered the seared rib roast, and the A5MIX Yukke topping was recommended by the staff. It was my first time trying Yukke, and it was delicious with raw egg. It's also okay to eat it as ochazuke after finishing the meat.

I finally got to go to the restaurant I've been wanting to visit since seeing the impactful photo of the Hitsumabushi on Instagram! I love that I can eat a lot of my favorite Yukke here. I arrived about 15 minutes before opening on a weekday, and we were already the second group in line! By the time they opened, even though it was a weekday, there was already a long line forming, and they had to start giving out tickets. The tables had cute condiments that you could put on top of your food, which was a nice touch. I was tempted by the Black Wagyu Yukke, but I ended up ordering the Instagram-exclusive menu item, the Meat Toro Taku Aburi Yukke. The presentation was so cute that I almost didn't want to ruin it (;_;) The other meat dishes were mostly served rare, which is perfect for those who love rare meat. The first bite of the Yukke was so delicious that it was truly moving! You can transfer it to a bowl whenever you want and pour the broth over it to make a luxurious ochazuke. The ochazuke had a gentle flavor that was so delicious that I couldn't decide whether I liked it raw or cooked more, and I just kept eating. It was a decent amount of food, but it was so delicious that I had no problem finishing it all. It was truly exquisite.

I arrived before 7 pm for dinner at the end of the year, got a numbered ticket, and was able to enter in about an hour and a half. I ordered a limited menu item only available on Instagram, and to cut to the chase, it was seriously delicious. I'm so glad I waited in line. The meat dressed in a "dress" of fat was just so... I can't even describe it. That's on me, though. But the yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) was seriously delicious. You can change up the flavor with different condiments, pour over some broth for a hitsumabushi-style dish, it was the best.

For lunch, I had an A5 Wagyu beef rice bowl with seared rib loin, topped with ikura (salmon roe) and eel. As soon as we entered, a line quickly formed and people even lined up on the stairs. The food came out quickly, so the turnover is fast. The broth made it delicious twice. There were plenty of condiments, so you can change the taste and not get bored. Even though it's rice, it went well with beer.

This is a trendy restaurant near Yasaka Shrine that specializes in raw meat. My daughter found it on Instagram and we decided to visit. The clientele is mostly young people. I ordered the A5 Wagyu Ribeye with Uni topping and a black beer. The meat was tender and flavorful, but towards the end, the amount of fat was a bit overwhelming. The taste became monotonous and I started to get tired of it. I tried adding the broth for a different flavor, but it didn't help much. The Uni was decent in quantity but lacked in taste. Overall, it seems like a hit or miss depending on personal preference. I visited once before and they were sold out after 2 pm, so I recommend going early. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the ① seared pork loin, and my companion ordered the ③ seared black wagyu beef goju. My thoughts are as follows: The ① dish was very delicious, but only up to about 10 bites. After that, it became very greasy and I started to feel queasy. It might be tough for some women. However, the ③ goju was light and easy to eat ♡ We stayed for about an hour, and by the time we left, there was a long line of people waiting. I realized it's better to go early!

Arrived around 17:15 without a reservation as they were not accepting any. We were the second group in line, with more people joining behind us in the 15 minutes before opening. The restaurant was already full when it opened, and those who couldn't get in were given numbered tickets. It turned out to be a very popular place, which we didn't realize, so we were glad we arrived early. We thought they would have a variety of dishes, but surprisingly, they only offered Ribeye Bowl, Yukhoe Bowl, and Meat Bento. We overlooked this detail. We were tempted by the Ribeye Bowl, but decided on the Yukhoe Bowl. When it arrived, we were surprised by the huge portion. Although we both love raw food, the amount of Yukhoe was overwhelming. It was the type with a lot of fat, which was tasty at first, but became too much after a few bites. We ended up turning it into ochazuke after just four bites. Also, surprisingly, the bowl came with multigrain rice instead of regular white rice. Personally, I think it would have been better with vinegared rice or white rice. Overall, it was more about the Instagrammable aspect than the taste. I don't think I would go back, even though we didn't have to wait in line. There is such a thing as too much food.

Located at 537-2 Gionmachi Minamigawa, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, Gion Hiro Building 3F, "Niku no Kakurega Oagari" is a must-try restaurant! It is always crowded during both lunch and dinner time, but I was lucky to get a seat around 6 pm. We ordered the recommended dishes and some Instagram-exclusive items, not really knowing what they were. We ended up sharing and enjoying dishes like Uni Hitsumabushi for 4500 yen, A5 Wagyu Blowtorch for 1900 yen, topped with plenty of ikura for another 1900 yen, and A5 Wagyu Meaty Donburi for 3800 yen, with an additional topping of A5 mixed yukke for 1200 yen. The meat was undeniably delicious, and the various toppings made the experience even more luxurious. I never knew that beef and uni could go so well together! I would love to visit again when it's not too crowded. The restaurant is open from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Today's dinner was at "Niku no Kakurega Oagari" in Gion. I think I found it on Twitter. The meat and seafood looked delicious, so I decided to come here. This place serves a bowl with A5 rank beef on top and your choice of seafood. Since I came all the way here, I think I'll go for the best wagyu beef. I'll have the "A5 seared wagyu beef goju" please. I also like scallops, so I'll add the "Hokkaido scallops" on top, and please give me extra rice. While waiting in front of the restaurant, I asked the staff if they could give me extra rice. They said it's possible, so I confirmed it. Now, let's dig in. First, I'll try it as it is. The beef is really good. The rice is so tasty. They provide 6 condiments: colorful rice crackers, gold sesame, chopped seaweed, myoga, green onions, and powdered bonito flakes. I'll add the first 5 and continue eating. It tastes better with a variety of toppings. Next, I'll have the scallops. They are thick and delicious. The salmon roe is also tasty. I left about 30% of the dish, transferred it to a tea bowl for ochazuke, poured the special broth over it, and ate it with a spoon. Delicious. Thank you for the meal.
