I visited a guesthouse in Kameoka for a company retreat. Starting from December 1st, the button mushroom hot pot is allowed. We divided into groups for matsutake mushroom hunting and sweet potato digging, then enjoyed a delicious lunch of matsutake mushroom sukiyaki with Kameoka beef and matsutake mushroom rice. The matsutake mushrooms had a wonderful aroma and texture, making us feel blissful. The beef was flavorful and tender, almost numbing. The matsutake mushroom rice was full of big matsutake pieces. The staff at the guesthouse were kind and we had a relaxing time. I won in bingo and got three large matsutake mushrooms to take home, which would cost around 15,000 yen if bought. Thank you, lucky me! In the evening, we bought local chicken and sea bream to make a hot pot with matsutake mushrooms. Having matsutake mushrooms for both lunch and dinner was such a luxurious experience. What a happiness! I still have some left, wondering how to enjoy them. I'm grateful to have joined such a good company. I don't know how much it cost, but it was worth it.
