A bakery near Nijo Castle on Gojo Street. They have a few terrace seats and a small eating area inside. I saw some foreigners enjoying the bread. The prices are standard for Kyoto (200-300 yen) and the taste is good. They tend to have limited stock, so it's best to go around lunchtime. I tried the peanut butter sandwich and the cheese bread. Both were delicious, but I was expecting more cheese in the bread. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Today, they were not selling shokupan. The cream pan is made with Yotsuba butter and Nakazawa milk. The custard cream without additives was delicious. The chiffon cake (vanilla) is made with rice flour, moist and fluffy. They use Madagascar vanilla and pay attention to the ingredients.

I purchased these breads on a weekday morning from a shop in Nara. They offer a variety of simple meal breads. - Salt Bread: The texture and taste of this salt bread are completely different from the usual salt bread. The dough seems to be made with whole wheat flour, as it is dense and slightly elastic with a good bite. You can't really taste the butter or salt, but instead, you can enjoy the crispy and fragrant flavor of the dough. - Bacon Epi: This black pepper-flavored bread has a strong taste. Unlike salt bread, it is made with wheat flour French bread dough. There is a moderate amount of bacon, but the oil from the bacon seeped into the bread, making the outer part delicious. The bread itself has a chewy texture, making it different from the bread you find at typical bakeries. When I looked up the shop's website to see if they had one, I found out that this shop is dedicated to using 100% homemade natural yeast. With natural yeast, the dough is slowly broken down over time, allowing the wheat flour to slowly decompose and bring out the flavor. While preferences may vary, these were delicious breads!

A shop that uses natural yeast and is particular about ingredients. It was safe, delicious, and incredibly tasty! Good for the body, it goes down smoothly. I might not be able to eat any other bread besides this one from now on.

After experiencing Kyoto Yuzen dyeing, as soon as I stepped out onto the main street, I caught a sweet scent of bread lingering nearby. I searched and found a bakery! Upon entering, I noticed a nice layout and delicious-looking bread lined up. I purchased a "Butter Croissant" and a "Hojicha Croissant" which were probably the source of the scent, reminiscent of butter. Here are my thoughts on each: - Butter Croissant: As expected, the taste of butter is delicious. The outside is smooth, while the inside is fluffy. Lately, salted bread has been popular, and this type of bread is indeed tasty. - Hojicha Croissant: Just as the name suggests, it has the aroma of hojicha. The scent of hojicha is so good that I think it might be the king of tea leaves. I was led to the bakery by the enticing scent, and it was definitely the right choice.

I thought "Alpenrose" in the basement of Yodobashi Camera Kyoto store had closed, but it seems like it has been relocated near Horikawa Oike Street, so I stopped by while running errands in the neighborhood. It's a small shop with a little cafe attached. Viennese Sausage - crispy texture. Cheese Roll - became chewy when warmed up. Simple flavors. Pork Cutlet Sandwich - fluffy and voluminous bread. Shrimp Cutlet Tartar Sandwich - shrimp packed tightly with delicious tartar sauce. Egg & Roast Ham Sandwich - also very filling, both of us were satisfied! Located at 42707-708-7783, Imadegawa-dori Ogawa Higashi-iru Ishibashi-cho, Nakagyo-ku, open from 10:00 to 19:00.

I had heard good things about the Yodobashi Camera building, so I decided to check it out. The store had moved, and it was quite busy on a Sunday. The staff were friendly and efficient. The sausage bread and tandoori chicken sandwich were tasty, but the balance with the fillings was off. The tandoori chicken was hard to distinguish. The chocolate coronet was overly sweet. The apple pie was average, nothing special. The butter toast had a slight floury taste. Overall, I may have had too high expectations.

I happened to see this bakery on my way back from taking my dog to the animal hospital and decided to visit. It seems like they have relocated from Yodobashi Camera Kyoto store. Their bread is made from 100% natural yeast and is additive-free, which is good for the body. I found the prices to be quite reasonable. Also, they are open every day except for the year-end and New Year holidays, which is rare around here, except for Shinshindo. They also have a nice seating area, so it might be good for travelers as well. This area is a highly competitive market for bread, so I hope that with new shops opening, the quality will continue to improve.

VEGETIME

I sometimes go there. I really like the bread at this shop, with its chewy texture and fluffy taste that spreads in your mouth. There are plenty of bread options for vegetarians and vegans, clearly labeled. So when I want to choose a vegetarian bread, I can do it myself without having to ask the staff, which makes me feel relaxed and reassured. There are so many different types of bread that I never get tired of coming back, it's really delicious! The shop is also cute, and every time I go, I think, "I want to come back again!"
