Today, I had lunch here. I ended up having a late lunch, but the restaurant was full inside. I ordered the pork cutlet and shrimp cutlet set for 1500 yen. It came with unlimited rice, miso soup, and cabbage. The miso soup was red miso soup and it was so good that I had seconds. They also had unlimited pickled Chinese cabbage. The pork cutlet was tender and delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Tonkatsu restaurant located a 2-minute walk from Nijo Station. The seasoning of the pork is average. The crispy texture is also average. The batter feels a bit thick. The sauce has an original slightly sweet taste. The shredded cabbage is thin and delicious. The dressing is good. The mustard is store-bought. You can choose between white rice and multigrain rice. I chose white rice, which was just delicious. The service is okay. When the cabbage was running out, they brought more without us asking. They seem to pay attention to customers. The atmosphere is average, like a restaurant in a commercial facility, with a slightly lively crowd. It's acceptable. The price is around 1200 yen for a 120g tonkatsu. That's about it. Thank you for the meal.

I went around 12 o'clock during lunchtime and was seated right away. I had the "Katsurai Zan" set meal, which included shrimp cutlet, bite-sized pork cutlet, bite-sized tofu meatball, seasonal croquette (today was corn croquette), miso soup, and multigrain rice. You can choose between white rice or multigrain rice. You can also have refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage. The freshly fried food was delicious, especially the tofu meatball cutlet. Thank you for the meal.

■Visit Date: June 5, 2022■Items Received: Refer below■MEMOThis time, we had the Barley Katsu Set. I had the loin cutlet, while my wife had the fillet cutlet. You can have unlimited refills of cabbage, miso soup, and rice. You can choose between white rice and five-grain rice. Enjoyed the freshly fried crispy and juicy tonkatsu. For my first serving, I had tonkatsu with five-grain rice, and for the second serving, I had five-grain rice with grated yam. I really like yam rice. My wife also shared her fillet cutlet with me. It was a satisfying lunch with a full stomach.

After 12 o'clock, there were few customers in the restaurant. It was a bit lonely. The freshly fried food was delicious, of course. The fried dishes were crispy and crunchy. I had seconds of cabbage, red miso soup, and barley rice. I ate a lot of vegetables to make up for the usual lack of them. I'm full now, thank you for the meal.

Due to the season, I went at 11 o'clock to avoid the crowds. There was only one customer. I ordered the pork cutlet and shrimp fry set. You can get unlimited refills of cabbage, miso soup, and rice. The fry was crispy and delicious. They provide a small mortar and pestle with sesame seeds. There are tonkatsu sauce for the fry, sauce for the cabbage, and tartar sauce. It also comes with pickled Chinese cabbage, miso soup with seaweed, and barley rice. It's lunchtime now, but it's still not crowded. It's a bit lonely. Thank you for the meal ☺️

I visited the restaurant with my family. When we were shown to our seats, they were not cleaned up and there were no empty tables available. We had to wait for the staff to clean up the area in the cramped restaurant. I ordered a set meal with chicken cutlet and crab cream croquette. The chicken cutlet was covered in too much breading, and the crab cream croquette was just average. The pickled vegetables for all-you-can-eat were bland, and the miso soup (made with red miso) tasted like instant soup, which was very surprising. This is the worst tonkatsu restaurant I have ever been to. I had indigestion from eating too much breading and felt uncomfortable until the next day.

I visited a restaurant called "Katsurai" on the first floor of BiVi 2nd Street. I had a pork cutlet bowl, which came with miso soup with red miso. The pork cutlet bowl was generous in portion and was topped with a noticeable amount of sansho pepper. The finely chopped fresh green onions on top of the cutlet were also impressive. It was a refined pork cutlet bowl typical of Kyoto. Thank you for the meal.

I went for a stroll on Saturday afternoon. The inside of the restaurant has a nice Japanese atmosphere. I had the Menchi Katsu set meal for 1000 yen. You can have unlimited refills of miso soup, rice, cabbage, and pickles! The large Menchi Katsu has a crispy and juicy coating, and it's delicious! I mixed sesame seeds, tonkatsu sauce, and Japanese mustard to my liking. With a movie ticket stub, I got a free sherbet as a service! I'm full from the volume lunch at the tonkatsu restaurant. It's a nice and cozy place with a clean interior. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for the first time and tried the "Katsurai Zan" set meal, which included shrimp, chicken meatballs, cream croquette, and two bite-sized cutlets. The cutlets were a bit tough and chewy. It was a slightly luxurious lunch for 1,380 yen.

Bivi is one of the places where you can relax. The tonkatsu has a crispy coating and was delicious. The children's set also had a generous portion, satisfying even elementary school students.

Tonkatsu! I was invited by a friend and went together. The inside was relaxing with spacious seating areas divided into table seats and counter seats. The menu had a variety of options besides pork loin and pork belly, and I chose the evening set meal. I was drawn to the cheese cutlet and tofu meatball cutlet and ordered them. The tofu cutlet was light and delicious when eaten with ponzu sauce. The rice was sixteen-grain rice, healthy and with free refills! The cabbage was also free for refills, and the service was good, allowing you to eat until you're full. I plan to try a different set meal next time. Thank you for the meal.

This is a pork cutlet restaurant located in front of JR Nijo Station called Bivi. I was in the mood for tonkatsu, so I decided to try it out for the first time. The menu includes pork cutlet, chicken cutlet, minced cutlet, and crab cream croquette. They also offer pork cutlet dishes made with brand pork such as Kyoto Tanba pork and Yamagata prefecture's Sangen pork. What I had was the pork loin cutlet and egg over rice (including tax 1050 yen). It was written as "cutlet and egg over rice" instead of "cutlet and egg bowl," which sounded more delicious. The rice portion was normal size, but you could also get a large portion. The pork cutlet was quite juicy and delicious. The rice portion was substantial even in the normal size. They are open all day, so it's convenient for a quick meal at Bivi.
