For lunch after visiting the grave, I recommend a place where you can relax, especially if you're with three generations. They have private rooms available if you reserve in advance, so it's great for large groups. We were able to get in without waiting on a Saturday afternoon! After some indecision, I went with the domestic beef sukiyaki set meal, and it was delicious with the rice served in a pot. The taste was perfect! Even though I was full, I couldn't resist the coffee and petit sweets for dessert. It's a place that caters to all ages, from the elderly to families with children to girls' gatherings. Thank you for the wonderful meal! ♡

It's been a while since I had a meal with my mother-in-law and father-in-law. I made a reservation for a private room using Tabelog! I reserved lunch for four people, so I got 2000 yen worth of points with gotoEAT! I was also planning to eat more affordably using the Kyoto Premium Meal Voucher, but my father-in-law ended up paying for everything... In the end, everyone enjoyed their meals, but I think the "Small Rice Bowl with Grilled Chicken and Side Dishes Set" that I ordered was the best choice. The chicken and egg rice bowl was creamy and the broth was well-infused, and the duck breast and sauce in the side dishes were delicious with a spicy kick. The yuba (tofu skin) and wheat gluten were also delicious with plenty of broth, typical of Kyoto. The side dishes seem to change depending on the season. The dessert in the set, such as pear sherbet, had a seasonal touch, which was nice. It was a good restaurant for coming with older generations like my mother-in-law and father-in-law.

This is the Kagonoya restaurant, a Japanese shabu-shabu restaurant located in Joyo-Kutsukawa, Kyoto. I visited during lunchtime on a weekday and found the restaurant to be almost full, indicating its popularity. The restaurant is located near the Kintetsu Kutsukawa station, along the old Route 24, with ample parking available. The interior is spacious and decorated in a calming Japanese style, with large tables arranged comfortably. The staff were polite and attentive. The menu offers all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu, as well as various other Japanese dishes and a la carte options. The weekday lunch menu ranged from 1000 to 1500 yen. I ordered the Kyushu Ume Pork Teppanyaki set meal for 1290 yen. The set included Kyushu Ume pork, grilled vegetables, rice, pickles, and miso soup. The pork was cooked on a teppanyaki grill and served with lemon juice or grated soy sauce. The pork, though thinner than expected, had a good amount of fat and a pleasant chewy texture. The seasoning of salt and pepper, along with lemon juice or soy sauce, complemented the meat well. The generous serving of grilled vegetables was also a nice touch. The portion of rice was a bit small, but overall, I was satisfied with the quality of the Kyushu Ume pork. The restaurant itself had a calming atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely meal. I would recommend this restaurant for a pleasant dining experience.

I have been here many times! I usually get udon, but this time I tried the soba. Noodles are always delicious♡ And above all, the tempura bowl was incredibly delicious♡ The sauce was indescribable(;_;)I will definitely come back to eat again.

This is a very famous family restaurant chain. They offer regular set meals as well as all-you-can-eat options, catering to various needs. By signing up for membership, you can enjoy many benefits and feel like you're getting a good deal. Although the average customer spending is on the higher side, with the use of various services, it doesn't feel too expensive. This time, I signed up for membership and got my drinks completely free. The main dish I had was the "Ten-zaru Soba", which was quite good. The soba had a nice texture and a good aroma. The tempura was also well cooked. I also ordered a mixed tempura skewer set, which was a bit lacking compared to specialty tempura restaurants. Overall, it was a decent meal.

We made a reservation for 5 people at 12:00 on Saturday, but the garage here was too small for parking. We had to wait until a space opened up, as the parking attendant informed us. I contacted my friends who had already gone inside, and they said they would wait for us to arrive. When we all gathered, it was already past 12:30. We ordered and our food arrived before 1:00. It seems that making a reservation for 12:00 on a Saturday is quite challenging for both the restaurant and the customers. However, we were seated in a private room and were able to enjoy a leisurely meal. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

On the first day of the Bon holiday, I went to a nearby restaurant called "Kagonoya" for lunch. It is a relatively new casual Japanese-style family restaurant operated by Kinrei, a frozen food company, which has recently opened a branch in Nagoya as well. The menu mainly attracts older customers, including us, a group of mature adults all over 50 years old, with my 92-year-old mother leading the pack. We waited in the waiting room while looking at the menu, and after about 5 minutes, we were seated. The seating was in a family restaurant style booth, but the atmosphere inside was calm. I ordered a set of mini tempura rice bowl and cold udon noodles. The dishes that came out had a typical family restaurant look, but they were nicely presented and tasted decent. My wife and sister ordered the "Kagonoya Kaorizan" deluxe menu, which included a fillet steak that was tender and delicious. The restaurant's specialty seems to be shabu-shabu. They also have private rooms, so it could be a good place for small gatherings.

I used this restaurant by chance when I went back home during last year's Obon holiday. The restaurant is located along Route 24, near Izumiya. We were seated quickly, probably because it was before noon and there were only two of us, me and my mother. The restaurant had a slightly stylish Japanese family restaurant vibe. I ordered a sushi bento (price around ¥1200?) and I believe my mother ordered a soba bento. The restaurant was very busy due to the Obon holiday, and the staff seemed to be working hard. My sushi bento came with 9 pieces of sushi, chawanmushi, and soup. The taste was nothing outstanding, but it was enjoyable. In this area, this type of restaurant seems to be one of the better options. The presentation was visually appealing. The menu seems to focus on shabu-shabu, but it also had a wide variety of options, making it a great choice for large families looking for Japanese cuisine. Thank you for the meal.

Finally, I visited this restaurant located along the old Route 24. When I arrived, there was a wait of 7 groups, so I had to wait in the waiting room for 20 minutes before being seated. I decided to order the "Daily Lunch Set" for 780 yen (excluding tax), as I had already chosen it from the board outside the restaurant. The restaurant was extremely crowded and noisy, with loud clattering noises coming from what seemed to be the kitchen. As for the food, the pork loin cutlet was thick and generously sized, with a light breading and served with a sesame sauce. The udon noodles were served in a slightly salty broth, and the salad consisted of macaroni, eggs, and vegetables. The rice was well-cooked and you could get a free extra serving. The miso soup was flavorful, with ingredients like dried shrimp, fried tofu, wakame seaweed, and mitsuba leaves. The pickles were a mix of leafy vegetables. The service staff were very friendly and attentive, making the dining experience enjoyable.

There are many "Kagonoya" restaurants in various places, and although I was aware of them, I always had a preconception that they were more elegant compared to all-you-can-eat yakiniku, so I never ended up taking my children there. However, I finally made my shabu-shabu debut. When I went, I was surprised! First of all, it was crowded! The place is really popular. It may be because this restaurant is still new, but on a Sunday night, we had to wait for about an hour, and there was even a security guard in the parking lot!! It can be quite tough to wait for a long time with children, but this time, since it was my first time, I managed to wait it out! We went with another family, so we were guided to a private room. This was extremely helpful! Especially with many children, I always worry about bothering others around us, so having a private room was a lifesaver! There are three courses to choose from - a pork-only course and two courses where you can choose beef as well. This time, we splurged and chose the beef course! (Shabu-shabu is all about the beef, right!!) The shabu-shabu pot had two types of broth, and we could choose an additional broth to add to the pot, so we ended up with three different broths. It was fun to have collagen-rich broth and other options to choose from. The shabu-shabu was all-you-can-eat, but the surprising part was the extensive menu for additional orders that were also all-you-can-eat! This was really helpful. The kids were particularly fond of the soba, and kept ordering more. The shabu-shabu was delicious considering the price. We really enjoyed our meal. The kids were thrilled and kept saying they want to go for shabu-shabu again. Now I'm torn between yakiniku and shabu-shabu. Thank you for the meal!

It seems to have opened recently. It's located near the Hirakawa Post Office in Kutsukawa. Around noon on Sunday, the restaurant was quite crowded. The booth seats are similar to those in common family restaurant chains. However, since it serves Japanese cuisine, the interior had a somewhat upscale feel. The partitions with sudare blinds were a nice touch, but the loud conversations of the older gentlemen made it a bit noisy. The Matsukado Bento is recommended, but I was concerned about the calories, so I ordered the Nigiri Sushi Tempura Set with the lowest calorie count (it was nice to have calorie information listed). My companion ordered the cheapest Kagonoya Bento, which was surprisingly filling for the price. Some people were dining alone. The customer base seemed to be on the older side, likely due to the focus on Japanese cuisine. They also offer shabu-shabu, noodles, Japanese sweets, and kamameshi, so it's a good option when you're in the mood for Japanese food.

I went to Kagonoya for the all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu, which is quite popular even during lunchtime. I made a reservation the day before as I heard it's the best place for shabu-shabu. The private rooms were full with group reservations. The all-you-can-eat premium course with domestic beef costs 4,980 yen. The sushi was better at a nearby restaurant called Sushiro. The kushikatsu was quite tasty, while the chawanmushi and egg tofu were okay. The tofu salad was not good, but the yuzu daikon was very delicious. You can choose between two types of dipping sauce for the shabu-shabu, and I chose kombu dashi and regular sauce. The vegetable set and two plates of meat arrived, and the meat was quite good. I tried to eat as much as possible to get my money's worth, but it's harder than it seems. I also tried the pork, but today I focused on the beef only. The dessert was not all-you-can-eat, which was disappointing. I hope Kagonoya will consider making the dessert all-you-can-eat too. I couldn't finish the udon at the end because I ate too much meat. Overall, it was a bit disappointing that the dessert was not included in the all-you-can-eat deal. Everyone around me seemed to be enjoying the all-you-can-eat, especially the younger crowd. Thank you for the meal.

There are not many Japanese restaurants, so it always seems crowded. It's good that they have children's chairs and plates. However, since it's a quiet restaurant, it may not be suitable for children who have a hard time sitting still. The portion size is just right for women. The children's menu portion is too small for my 6-year-old son. It's more suitable for leisurely enjoying lunch rather than eating a full meal.

Located along the municipal road in Joyo City, Kyoto Prefecture, is Kagonoya Joyo Kyutsugawa store. My children wanted to eat shabu-shabu, so we decided to go there on a Saturday without a reservation. We waited for about 20 minutes, and then we were seated. You can choose between beef and pork shabu-shabu, but we opted for the pork shabu-shabu set which also included sushi, kushikatsu, and one other dish for 3,128 yen per person. We selected two types of broth, chicken broth, and bonito broth. We added a little yuzu kosho to the bonito broth which made it light and delicious. The chicken broth was okay. For 3,000 yen per person, it was a decent option to fill up my growing children's stomachs.
