I went to Kyoto for a business meeting. I arrived before noon and looked for a nearby place to have lunch. I remembered a natural food restaurant I used to go to when I worked in Fushimi Ward, but it was no longer there. Feeling lost, I stumbled upon a rice restaurant. I decided to try their lunch, which featured a dish made with Ito pork. I debated between the braised pork and the beef hamburger, but since I had beef the day before, I opted for the pork hamburger. It was surprisingly light and fluffy, with a subtle pork flavor. It was so light that I could easily eat two of them. Despite being light, it still had a good meaty flavor and was juicy. The taste of the meat wasn't overshadowed by the sauce. If I were to compare, a beef hamburger might be richer and more popular, but this pork hamburger was delicious in its own way. The miso soup with wheat gluten that came with it was also quite good. I might come back again next time to try the braised pork.

It seems to be a wine and teppanyaki restaurant. The counter had what appeared to be the owner and regular customers enjoying wine with their meals. I found this place while searching for lunch options. The tables were teppanyaki style, similar to an okonomiyaki restaurant. The lunch menu was Western-style. There were only customers at the counter when I arrived, no one else later. The atmosphere was a bit uneasy. The food was tasty and to my liking, and the prices were reasonable. Thank you for the meal. I think it would be a great place for dinner, enjoying delicious food and drinks.

Bad. Everything seems like something anyone could make at home. The hamburg steak is said to be delicious, but the one I had this time was like half-cooked meatball and very disappointing. There is nothing particularly tasty about the other dishes.

It was surprisingly cheap.

The store seemed very clean, perhaps because it is relatively new. I ordered a vegetable salad, pork and egg on rice, ginger pork, and cheese omelette, and they were all very delicious. Personally, I particularly liked the salad, which was unexpectedly tasty and visually appealing with plenty of lotus root and cherry tomatoes, and the omelette filled with lots of mushrooms. I would like to visit again on a whim.

The previous store had been left abandoned for a while after closing down, but construction started and somehow a new restaurant was completed. It was bright inside, but the details were not visible from the outside. Some thought it was a steakhouse, while others thought it was an okonomiyaki restaurant. Inside, it was bright with fluorescent lights. There were about 6 tables and a few counter seats. The menu included steak and okonomiyaki, giving off a high-end okonomiyaki restaurant vibe. The yakisoba for 1,000 yen seemed a bit expensive, and the taste was average. The restroom was clean. It was said that music would play when seated, like a replacement for the jukebox. The atmosphere was elegant, unlike a typical okonomiyaki restaurant. It was a unique blend of a steakhouse and okonomiyaki restaurant. I didn't try the steak, so it's hard to give a full evaluation, but the yakisoba didn't make me want to go back.
