Daily lunch for 900 yen
Around 1:20 PM on Monday. There was one customer before me, and the interior of the restaurant was quite spacious and dimly lit. I checked the daily menu displayed outside and informed the staff of my choice. Today's daily lineup includes:
1. Seafood Yukhoe
2. Original Karaage
3. Pork Kimchi Stir-fry
4. Shredded Dried Squid and Green Pepper
5. Yurin Chicken-style Karaage
6. Hoikoro
7. Homemade Potato Salad
Today, I chose Seafood Yukhoe and Yurin Chicken-style Karaage. And since it's Monday, it's Men's Day, which means you get one side dish for free. The staff showed me a paper with five options, including ground meat and tofu, two pieces of karaage, onion salad, and two more options. I went with the onion salad, and I also got a choice of coffee, either hot or iced, before or after the meal. I chose iced coffee before the meal, which was served promptly. The set meal arrived in about 5 minutes, and it was quite generous with various side dishes: Seafood Yukhoe, Yurin Chicken-style Karaage, salad, rolled omelet, pickles, cucumber and chicken namul, onion salad, rice, and miso soup with plenty of ingredients. Seafood Yukhoe had a variety of seafood such as tuna, salmon, octopus, yellowtail, and amberjack, all cut into bite-sized pieces with green onions, seaweed, and sauce. It was delicious. The Yurin Chicken-style Karaage consisted of three pieces of sweet and sour chicken karaage, freshly fried and tasty. The salads were also flavorful with a good amount of dressing. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the miso soup was hearty with cabbage, enoki mushrooms, onions, and other ingredients. I left the restaurant full and satisfied once again. The iced coffee was also enjoyable. I suddenly thought, if I ordered the original karaage for the daily special, chose karaage for the side dish, and took advantage of Men's Day on Monday to get an extra karaage, I could probably get a set meal with 8 pieces of karaage, rice, miso soup, pickles, and salad for 900 yen! I might try that next time I come on a Monday. Thank you for the meal!
