I went to Kyoto to eat soup curry! \(^o^)/ It's located very close to Hankyu Kawaramachi Station. I made a reservation through Tabelog and visited the restaurant. It's a shop that serves soup curry in a clay pot, produced by the oldest pickle shop in Kyoto with a history of over 250 years, Sokenkyo Chikaki. The shop is on the 2nd floor, up a spiral staircase. The bright interior with a white theme had all female customers. Seems like there are more curry-loving girls now. The curry in the clay pot was delicious with beautiful vegetables that are perfect for Instagram. Sprinkling shichimi on the chicken wings adds an accent to the spiciness. Comes with pickles from Chikaki. I chose a smaller portion of rice, 150g. They use Yokoine rice, which goes perfectly with the Japanese-style curry. The Kyoto beef red wine stew soup curry is a luxurious curry as a reward. The meat is sweet and melts in your mouth! Kyoto brand beef [Kyoto's meat]. What is this! It's so delicious~~~!!! ☆*:.。.o(≧▽≦)o.。.:*☆Yay! Woohoo! So good! I love meat, and it's been a while since I've had such delicious meat. It's so delicious that I feel it's a waste for it to be in the curry. I was so impressed by the taste that I ended up in a daze! Even though I haven't been to Hokkaido this year, I've decided that if I just want to go eat soup curry, this place is enough. If you come here, I highly recommend the Kyoto beef red wine stew soup curry! I already want to go eat it again soon! It's super delicious! \(^o^)/ If you have time, come visit Princess Cinderella's blog too♪ https://pricin.exblog.jp/28587968/

I arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 pm as usual. I made a reservation and walked about 5 minutes from Kyoto Kawaramachi Station to get there. The restaurant is located on the second floor, so I climbed the stairs and entered. The bright interior had about three table seats. I ordered the Colorful Vegetable Soup Curry for 1000 yen and the Grilled Cheddar Cheese for 160 yen. I chose the curry spiciness level 4 (spicy) and ordered the large size with 300g of rice. The Grilled Cheddar Cheese was served on top of the white rice. The spiciness level 4 was moderately spicy and had a nice kick to it. It was not lacking in flavor. The Colorful Vegetable Soup Curry had broccoli, carrots, and other vegetables, making it a delicious soup curry that vegetable lovers would enjoy. If you are curious about "Soup Curry," be sure to visit this place! ( `・∀・)ノ

When I visited the restaurant on a Saturday at 11:40 am, there were already two groups of three people inside, who were already eating. I ordered the Pork Belly Stew Curry (1480 yen) with a spice level of "3" (medium) and a rice portion size of "L" (300g). The food was served in about 5 minutes, which was surprisingly fast! I understood why the previous customers were already eating. The rice portion was quite generous. However, the container for the curry was small and felt a bit lacking. Today's vegetables included eight varieties, including two quail eggs, two potato slices, and two paprika slices, all of which were small portions. The deep-fried broccoli was tasty with a flavorful coating. The quail eggs were delicious, but overall, the vegetables were a bit ordinary compared to authentic Hokkaido-style curry. The pork belly stew was large, very tender, and delicious. The highlight was the meat, making it quite different from authentic curry from Hokkaido.

It was my first visit to Uemon, a clay pot soup curry restaurant in Kawaramachi, Kyoto! The access from Kawaramachi Station was great, just a short walk away. I think I went there once a few years ago. It's quite popular, so I made a reservation. We arrived right at the opening time on Saturday at 11:30 am. Today, we ordered: - Kyoto red chicken wing soup curry for 1380 yen - Grilled cheese topping for 160 yen - Kyoto pork hamburger soup curry for 1650 yen - Grilled cheese topping for 160 yen - Drink set for 230 yen - 2 bottles of beer for 650 yen We also sneaked in some beers, haha! The menu was so extensive, it was hard to choose, but we went with the recommended soup curry. The drinks arrived first, and after a short wait, the delicious smell started wafting over, and there it was! It looked so appetizing, steaming hot with lots of vegetables on top. You can choose the spiciness level for free up to level 5, so I went with medium and my partner chose slightly spicy. The chicken wings were tender and easy to pull apart with a fork. The grilled cheese topping is a must-try! The combination of cheese, rice, and curry is perfect! It's impossible not to enjoy it! The staff were friendly and easy to talk to. It felt like a cozy homey place, and I wish it was near my house. It's a popular spot, so I recommend making a reservation before going. Thank you for the meal!

I used to think that soup curry was curry-flavored soup. It's totally different!! It's not curry, nor is it curry-flavored soup! It's quite hard to describe, but it's incredibly delicious. I ordered chicken soup curry with seared cheese topping. The cheese goes on top of the rice. The ingredients vary depending on the day, but on that day, it had broccoli, okra, bell pepper, eggplant, potato, mizuna, and quail egg. If you're curious about soup curry, I highly recommend trying it here. It has an addictive quality that will make you want to come back for more.笑笑 You'll definitely fall in love with it.

I love this shop and often come back. I sometimes bring my family and friends, but it's also a place where I feel comfortable dining alone. The dishes in the photos are Pork Kakuni Soup Curry (1480 yen), Chicken Wing Soup Curry (1380 yen), and Colorful Vegetable Soup Curry (1000 yen). They also have Hamburg Soup Curry (1630 yen) and Kyoto-style Red Wine Braised Meat Soup Curry (1680 yen). I haven't tried the Kyoto-style meat soup curry yet, but the Hamburg one I had the other day was consistently delicious. You can choose the spiciness of the curry, the amount of rice, and toppings like cheese, making it fun to customize your meal. The vegetables in the curry change daily, and they are written on the blackboard in the shop. If you have any vegetable preferences, they are willing to accommodate your request, so it's okay even if you have dislikes. They accept various payment methods from credit cards to cash and QR code payments. They also have a LINE point card, so make sure to collect points if you plan to visit again. I'm also collecting points, haha (≖ᴗ≖)ニヤッ

Ordered the chicken wing tip soup curry. The whiteboard near the entrance lists the vegetables in today's curry, and you can request changes if there are any you can't eat! Broccoli, okra, bell peppers, baby corn, and many other types of vegetables are included! I especially like broccoli. The chicken is tender, so I recommend transferring it to the rice plate and shredding it there. There is a possibility of curry splashing if you do it in the curry. It's a bit disappointing that it takes a while to come out, but the delicious food makes it worth the wait.

In Kyoto and Shiga, there are few soup curry restaurants, but if you go to Osaka, there are places like Lamai and Samurai. In Kyoto, I happened to come across a delicious soup curry restaurant where the soup has a good depth of flavor. The vegetables are tasty, and the meat is delicious too. It's satisfying. The spiciness is also categorized roughly, but the level of spiciness is just right. I think I'll keep coming back here.

On Wednesday, November 9, 2022, I visited a restaurant for lunch with one guest and two other guests. We were seated at a designated counter seat. We ordered the "Kyoto Red Chicken" wing tip soup curry. We requested a spice level of 1 and a medium amount of rice. While waiting for our food, we enjoyed the sound of vegetables being fried. The proper way to eat the soup curry was written on a board, which was helpful for a first-timer like me. The flavor was just right, with a slight spiciness that added a nice kick. The dish was vegetable-heavy and delicious. I quickly finished my meal and left satisfied.

When you go up to the second floor on a spiral staircase, the interior of the restaurant feels like a cafe. They have something called "Kyoto Meat" where you can choose the spiciness level from 1 to 5, and the rice portion up to 300g is free. The container is a bit small, but the meat is packed in tightly and tender, with just the right amount of spices. The vegetables are also delicious, and the pickled burdock is tasty too. It's a delicious and affordable meal. Thank you for the meal!

I found a great restaurant. It seems to be a soup curry shop run by a pickle shop. I ordered the Kyoto Akadori chicken wing soup curry for 1,380 yen, with a spicy level of medium and 200g of rice. The curry has a Japanese taste with a strong dashi flavor. The spices are well balanced, and the refreshing spiciness kicks in nicely. The curry is packed with plenty of vegetables such as eggplant, baby corn, okra, bell pepper, broccoli, potato, pumpkin, and mizuna. Each vegetable is roasted to bring out its natural sweetness. The chicken wings are well-cooked in curry seasoning and are tender. The pickled burdock side dish also has a refined taste. It was a unique soup curry shop that I would definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Around 6 pm in the evening, I visited a restaurant where you go up a spiral staircase to the second floor. The interior was bright, clean, and comfortable. I ordered the limited edition mochi pork hamburger curry. It came with a spicy curry with a shabu-shabu style, Kyoto vegetables, and a fluffy hamburger. You could choose the level of spiciness for the curry, which was nice. The spiciness was just right and the taste was enjoyable throughout the meal. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I tried to find a place for dinner in Kyoto near Kawaramachi Station, but everywhere was full. So, I decided to visit this restaurant near my hotel. I love soup curry with lots of ingredients, and I was intrigued by the hot pot soup curry on the menu. There were options with chicken, pork, and vegetables, all looking delicious. I ended up ordering the weekday special, which was pork belly. As I waited leisurely, the sizzling hot pot of soup curry arrived. It had a light curry soup with plenty of ingredients, which made me happy. I enjoyed it so much that I was full by the end of the meal, so I went for a night stroll. It was delicious. This restaurant seems to be run by a pickles shop, no wonder the pickles are so tasty.

I visited a curry restaurant recommended by a friend. The location was a bit hidden, so you might not notice it passing by. There was no line, and we were seated right away. The restaurant was cozy with a nice smell of curry spices. I ordered the red wine simmered curry, which had a great aroma and was perfect for dipping the rice. It was filled with lots of vegetables, which was a nice touch. The only downside was the thick partition between tables for COVID-19 measures, making it a bit hard to talk. Overall, the food was delicious, and I would definitely come back.

I went after a long time! It's a taste that I feel like eating regularly. On this day, I had the Kyoto-style red wine stew soup curry! The flavor of red wine was strong, and the meat was tender and delicious! This time, I chose medium spiciness for the soup and small size for the rice, but the soup was so delicious that I ended up wanting more rice. Haha, I should have ordered medium spiciness after all. I don't like mizuna, so I asked to change it to baby corn this time! I'm happy that I can make such choices! I want to go again!

This summer, I drove to Kyoto and ended up at a soup curry restaurant. I arrived, sat down, and placed my order at 7:10 PM. The food arrived at 7:30 PM. I ordered the "Kyoto Meat" red wine-infused soup curry for 1650 yen. The dish consisted of a dome-shaped mound of rice with a diameter of about 100mm and a height of 50mm. The curry had a strong aroma of spices and a rich umami base, followed by a delayed kick of heat and flavor. The spices were sharp, but the vegetable-based broth was delicious. The dish included wine-infused beef and roasted vegetables. The beef pieces were about 10mm cubes, tender, and with a delicious fatty sweetness. The vegetables included potato, okra, baby corn, pumpkin, eggplant, red and yellow bell peppers, broccoli, and watercress, all generously sized, juicy, and sweet. I particularly enjoyed the okra. The pickled burdock was crunchy and served as a refreshing palate cleanser. The Shiba-Komachi potato salad was tangy and delicious, with slightly firm potatoes and a nice texture from the pickled shiba.

Located a short distance from Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto. I stopped by here today. The restaurant is on the second floor, so you use the spiral staircase outside the store. Inside, there are counter seats and table seats, with a capacity of about a dozen people. I ordered the Kyoto Akadoko chicken wing soup curry with a large amount of rice and extra spicy. Let's dig in! The appearance is full of ingredients and looks good. The ingredients on this day were bell peppers, eggplant, potatoes, okra, broccoli, quail eggs, watercress, and baby corn. They were all deep-fried and had their own flavors and textures. The soup curry has a refreshing blend of spices and oil that goes well with the rice. I ordered a large portion of rice, but there was no shortage of soup, so I was able to eat at a consistent pace until the end. So, thank you for the meal! The price is a bit high, but soup curry restaurants are quite rare in the area, so it's definitely worth a try if you're in the mood.

It was located in an easy-to-find place but a bit tricky to locate. I searched at nearby shops and ended up passing by it once. It's on the second floor after climbing a narrow spiral staircase at a corner location. The shop itself was small. I've only had soup curry once in the past, so I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be quite delicious. I'm knowledgeable about ramen, but this soup was really tasty - a bomb of flavors. I ordered Kyoto pork hamburger and Kyoto red chicken curry, thinking they would taste the same (probably are), but they were slightly different... maybe the ingredients seeped in differently. Anyway, it was a well-rounded and high-quality soup curry. This was my second visit, and if I pass by again, I would definitely drop by casually.

The last order was around 15:00. There is a store on the second floor and it wasn't crowded, maybe because it's not very noticeable. The food was surprisingly delicious and satisfying! I ordered the chicken curry with medium spiciness and a small portion of rice. The curry was a classic choice and I left feeling full. The hamburger curry was also good, with the hamburger being juicy and flavorful. The casual and cheerful atmosphere made the dining experience enjoyable, and the food warmed me up from the inside out.

I visited around 18:30 on Saturday. There was one group of customers before me. I tried the limited edition Katsuo dashi-flavored Kyoto-style pork shabu curry for 1450 yen. The two pieces of potatoes were amazingly delicious! I wonder what happened to the potatoes today?! They were really tasty, maybe because they paired well with the katsuo dashi or maybe the potatoes themselves were just good. The katsuo dashi was quite good. If it was a bit more affordable, I would definitely come back for more. The pork shabu was served with three slices. I'm not sure what makes Kyoto-style pork shabu special, but it was decently tasty. I also had two quail eggs, which were the standard amount as I didn't add any extra this time.

I visited around 18:00 on Saturday. There were 2 groups of customers already there. I had the Colorful Vegetable Soup Curry for 980 yen. I found that I prefer the curry soup without the hamburger or chicken from my previous visit, so I ordered it that way again. Even without the spiciness, my body felt warm. The broccoli soaked up the oil and paired perfectly with the sweet and sour pickles! I also added a topping of a warm egg for 120 yen, which included 3 quail eggs. Last time I added the quail egg topping for 120 yen, there were 5 eggs. If the default is 3 eggs, then adding 2 more quail eggs for 120 yen makes sense.

The origin of soup curry in Sapporo, there are still not many stores in Kansai. I have never eaten in Sapporo, and only a few times in Tokyo and at CoCo Ichibanya in Kansai. There is a restaurant called Donabe Soup Curry Omiya Seiemon near Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto, so let's go eat there. It is located on the second floor of a narrow building. The interior of the store feels very bright, whether it is a new building or a renovated one. There are only four tables and a counter in the small shop. The tables are separated by transparent boards for COVID-19 measures. For lunch, the "Kyoto Akadai Chicken" wing soup curry is priced at 1200 yen. Let's order the hamburger soup curry to share with your companion, along with the chicken wings. Choose the spiciness between medium and large. Please give me extra rice. Here it comes. The soup curry is filled with colorful deep-fried vegetables. Burdock pickles are served in a small dish. This must be the original pickles. I had the image of simmering in a clay pot from the name, but it seems that it is just using a container that looks like a clay pot. Omiya Seiemon is a soup curry shop started by the nth generation of a long-established pickle shop. The original pickle shop is also said to be in the Gion area. The basic way to eat soup curry is to scoop rice with a spoon and dip it into the soup curry before eating. It's different from the thick curry of Japanese style. If you keep eating this way, you will forget to eat the ingredients. Hurriedly eat the ingredients. The hamburger is made to go well with the curry soup. The chicken wings also have a good meat texture and are easy to eat. The soup's base is solid, so you won't get tired of eating it. The spiciness could be a little stronger. If you are not averse to spiciness, you might want to choose the large spiciness. Soup curry allows you to eat plenty of vegetables.
