You can enjoy a stylishly designed "Japanese-French course meal" at a small hotel. From appetizers to fish dishes, meat dishes, and dessert, each dish is delicately and carefully prepared and very delicious. The wine pairs well with the meal. The atmosphere is very nice, and the food is good, yet the price is low. The reason for the low price is that you need to go outside and to the neighboring hotel for the hot spring and breakfast. Also, the rooms are very small. It's about the size of a single bed room with a semi-double bed squeezed in. However, when you step outside the breakfast venue into the garden, you can see "Amanohashidate" right in front of you. The cost performance is excellent.

On the weekend, my partner and I were discussing where to go, and they mentioned that they wanted to go to Ine Town, famous for its boat houses. I had seen it on TV before. It sounded interesting, and I suggested we also visit Amanohashidate, which we hadn't been to yet. So, we decided to go there! I called the Ine Town Tourist Association the day before, but they said the boat houses were fully booked. We waited for hours for a response, but finally, they confirmed that it was indeed fully booked. So, we decided to stay in Amanohashidate instead! I searched online and found Amanohashidate Hotel, but it was a bit expensive at over 20,000 yen per night. However, I then came across Auberge Amanohashidate on the same page! It was around 9,000 yen per night, including a French dinner, breakfast buffet at the neighboring Amanohashidate Hotel, and unlimited access to hot springs. Excited, we set off early Sunday morning, driving straight to Ine Town. We stopped at Nishiki SA in Tango for a break, but then continued without stopping until we reached Ine. By the time we arrived, the sun was already high in the sky. In Ine, we enjoyed a leisurely meal and tea while admiring the boat houses. We then headed back to Amanohashidate, taking the cable car to Kasamatsu Park. We enjoyed the fantastic views and even did a cheeky peek experiment at the top. We then stayed at Auberge Amanohashidate, right next to Amanohashidate Hotel. The room was small but sufficient for sleeping, with a loft that could accommodate up to three people. We were informed that there was no bath or toilet in the room, but that was not a problem for us. We were also told not to wear yukata for dinner, which was fine as we were prepared for a French meal. We were delighted to hear that we could use the hotel's large communal bath and experience the onsen atmosphere. We then went to the neighboring hotel for a bath, wearing yukata and geta. The bath had various facilities, including saunas, large baths, foot baths, and an outdoor bath with a beautiful view of Amanohashidate and Miyazu Bay. After the bath, we felt hungry and changed into our clothes to head to the restaurant, called Pure. The dinner menu included avocado fry, beef and vegetable stew, white fish and vegetable pot-au-feu, pan-seared beef with red wine sauce, dessert, and coffee. We enjoyed the meal with drinks such as Kirin Ichiban Shibori draft beer, Il La Forgia (French red wine), and Floyd Liebfraumilch (German white wine). We savored our meal while admiring the view of Miyazu Bay and Kasamatsu Park's lights through the window. The next morning, we visited the hotel's large bath, enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and were satisfied with the variety of options available. Overall, we had a wonderful stay with one night's accommodation, two meals, and drinks for 18,360 yen for two people.
