This was my first time visiting here! There is no parking, but I decided to park here anyway because I am going to the supermarket nearby later. It seems like you can park for free for an hour. I ordered the noodle set, specifically the A set which includes cold noodles (sesame) and fried rice (half portion). The fried rice was 180 yen and the cold noodles had a unique presentation I've never seen before. The taste was okay, maybe it would have been tastier if it was colder. The fried rice had a slightly burnt taste. The sweet and sour pork and fried chicken were decent, a little above average. Thank you for the meal!

I visited Kanato Mall Fushimi at lunchtime. There are no food and beverage outlets here! (KFC recently opened) There are quite a few famous places nearby, but I didn't like them or couldn't enter at this time, and I was in the mood for Chinese food, so I decided to go to this place nearby. I knew this place has been around for a while, but I didn't have the opportunity to visit until now. It was a little before 12:30 on a weekday, and there was one customer before me and one after me. I was curious about the "Chef's special ramen," but I was really in the mood for fried rice and fried chicken, so I ordered the fried rice set! It was not incredibly delicious, but it was just delicious enough. It's cheap, reasonably tasty, not crowded, and you can smoke - perfect for me. I will definitely visit again! And so, I revisited the place and tried the "Chef's special ramen" as homework. It turned out to be just a normal ramen from a typical Chinese restaurant.

After the tax increase, I visited the restaurant for the first time. It's understandable that prices have gone up, but I noticed that the menu has decreased in variety. Particularly striking is that the number of menu items for the Jasmine Set Meal has been reduced by half to 10 items. Other set meals have also decreased from 11 to 3 items. From the customer's perspective, this is a downgrade. However, considering the current owner's abilities and the fact that they are running the restaurant alone, this may be a wise decision. I ordered the "Egg and Wood Ear Mushroom Stir-Fry" set meal. It comes with my favorite dish, "Kikusui Pork". It seems like now you can have unlimited rice refills as a trade-off for the price increase. The rice portion is generous, and the taste is decent. The pickled mustard greens with chili oil stimulate the appetite, making me want to have a drink. The soup has less off-flavors compared to my previous visits. The fried chicken is more like tempura with a hint of Sichuan pepper flavor. Considering the presence of hot and sour soup on the menu, is the cuisine Sichuan-based? Now, onto the main dish. In addition to eggs and wood ear mushrooms, there is a large amount of onions and small pieces of pork. The flavor is on the rich side. I feel that the current owner's presentation and seasoning are a bit casual. However, the rich flavor made the rice go down easily, and I ended up having seconds. As I was leaving, I was told, "This is your third visit," to which I replied, "If we count from our friendship, I wouldn't even know how many visits it has been."

This restaurant used to be called "Nakayoshi" and was run by Chinese sisters. It was quite prosperous, and I heard that it consumed the most rice among the eateries in the area during lunchtime. It has now been passed on to an acquaintance, and the name has been changed to this. The daily special menu for the day was sweet and sour pork. In fact, the daily special is just the Maika set meal, which includes about 20 menu items with rice and fried chicken. The price is 100 yen cheaper for the daily special, but in terms of usability and cost-effectiveness, the Maika set meal is better. I wanted to raise the price by 100 yen on this day, so I chose the daily special, but... The dish was served on a single plate. The menu has hardly changed, but the Nakayoshi vibe is gradually fading. The rice is delicious. The thinly sliced zasai with chili oil makes you want beer. The sweet and sour pork and soup seem to be seasoned incorrectly. Perhaps because a typhoon is approaching, I was the only customer. The staff also talked to me in a friendly manner. It has been 19 years since the previous Nakayoshi. I worked part-time there for about a year and a half. Oh, I remember there was a time when I worked part-time there. They are planning to raise prices soon and showed me some new menu items, saying, "Isn't this cute?" They seem to be a carefree person. I will come back when they raise the prices.

I used to frequent the restaurant next door, Naka Yashi, about 3-4 years ago. This is my first time here. I ordered the Naka Yashi set meal for 750 yen with shrimp mayo. It comes with fried chicken, soup, and rice. While waiting for my beer, they first brought out pickled vegetables and rice. Ah, the pickled vegetables from Naka Yashi. It's nostalgic! The pickled vegetables are mixed with cucumber, jellyfish, and topped with chili oil. This is a great appetizer with beer. The shrimp mayo has arrived. It's full of vegetables! However, the shrimp coating is a bit too thick, making it a bit soggy. The fried chicken is well done, probably because they are experienced in frying. The touch of Sichuan pepper salt is a nice accent. There are also plenty of vegetables here. For the price of a bowl of ramen, you can enjoy all these vegetables and dishes, which is not bad. The Chinese lady who runs the place is very friendly. On this day, there were only two regular customers besides myself.

Today's daily lunch special is vegetable stir-fry set meal, served with soup and pickled vegetables for 650 yen. There is also the option of the Kaorika set meal where you can choose various side dishes, served with soup, pickled vegetables, and 2 pieces of fried chicken for 750 yen. This is the perfect taste for me!

I decided to visit the restaurant that used to be my go-to place when I lived here. It's a Chinese restaurant called "Nakayoshi" in a residential area in front of Izumiya! The name of the restaurant... has it changed? I walk through the door, and the interior of the restaurant is just as I remember Nakayoshi. However, while Nakayoshi used to be run by Chinese sisters, the current staff has a Chinese owner but the servers are Japanese. Looking at the menu, there are over 20 menu items to choose from, where you can pick your favorite and turn it into a set meal like the Jasmine Flower set meal, which is similar to the Nakayoshi set meal. There are also various other set meals available. The system seems to have been inherited from Nakayoshi. I asked out of curiosity and found out that the current owner is a friend of the previous owner. When I asked if the previous sisters had gone back to China, the response was, "They're just hanging out at home (laughs)." I hope they are doing well. I ordered the daily set meal (650 yen), which was sweet and sour pork. It came with finely sliced zha cai, and a soup with plenty of bean sprouts, just like the Nakayoshi days. The sweet and sour pork, vegetables, and seasoning all reminded me of Nakayoshi. The taste is homey, yet hits the spot. The owner must have gone through some training before taking over the restaurant. However, the actual food still needs improvement. Firstly, the carrots in the sweet and sour pork were too hard. It seems like they were not cooked properly. The soup, which is also used for ramen, had a strange taste. It used to have a nostalgic flavor with some artificial seasoning taste in the previous restaurant, but this one has a weird taste. Nevertheless, the cost-performance ratio is good. I hope they continue to improve. This restaurant carries the genes of my memories. Will Jasmine be able to bloom beautifully here?
