Had dinner at Kushiya Hachi. They open at 16:30 and are always fully booked, making it a popular spot that's hard to get reservations for. Managed to secure a seat today. Enjoyed plenty of delicious and affordable kushikatsu. The combination of ice-cold beer and piping hot kushikatsu was excellent. They also offer a variety of wines, shochu highballs, sours, and more. Thank you for the meal.

It's a chain restaurant that is very popular, so it's recommended to make a reservation. I sat in a booth and my favorite was the avocado cheese skewers - I had four of them. The special sauce was also delicious. Aside from the skewers, all the other dishes on the menu were tasty as well. The drinks were relatively cheap, and I was able to eat until I was full for around 3800 yen per person. It was a great deal.

I visited the restaurant after 3-4 years. It was already bustling inside about 20 minutes after opening (opens at 16:30 on weekends and holidays). It seemed like there were many reservation guests on holidays. I had lemon sour, assorted fried skewers, grilled skewers, yakitori, chanja maki, grilled squid, and raw cabbage, totaling 23 items (4,081 yen including tax), and I was full. There is a wide variety of skewers, good value for money, and I am satisfied (although the skewers are a bit small).

From sightseeing in Arashiyama to taking the Randen train to Shijo Omiya, then exiting the ticket gate and going straight ahead until you reach this chain restaurant specializing in kushikatsu. It had been a while since I had gone out for drinks at night. I was seated at the counter and ordered a draft beer without thinking. For the kushikatsu, I chose the value set of 10 skewers for 825 yen and the popular set of 10 skewers for 969 yen. As for side dishes, I ordered the addictive cucumber and the Japanese-style seafood yukhoe. The seafood yukhoe was particularly impressive and served as a substantial dish on its own. We continued to add more kushikatsu a la carte, starting with the first-time experience of water eggplant skewers and asparagus on the hot plate. We then delved into the creative series with dishes like conger eel with plum and shiso cheese, flatfish with basil, salmon and cheese, and shirako-wrapped pork. It had been a while since I visited Kushihachi, and I believe it has definitely evolved. I look forward to encountering new creations next time. After settling the bill, I was surprised that the total cost was not as high as expected. I was so engrossed in enjoying the food and drinks that it turned out to be a fulfilling dining experience.

I tried to make a reservation at a yakiniku restaurant near my business hotel, but they were fully booked for today. So I decided to visit this restaurant, which is about a 10-minute walk away. I arrived on a Saturday around 6 pm and had to wait for about an hour before being seated at the counter on the second floor. It seems that Kushi Hachi always gets fully booked early, so I was a bit late this time. I have been to the Higashiyama and Nishiin branches of Kushi Hachi before, but this was my first visit to this one. Despite being located in a basement of a building, the space was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Unlike other branches, this one seemed to have fewer seafood options. However, the quality of the sashimi platter was excellent. I decided to skip the yakitori menu this time and ordered various kushikatsu dishes instead. They were all delicious and reasonably priced. Unlike the kushikatsu in Osaka, which is often served with a lot of sauce, these were smaller in size and came with carefully selected seasonings that complemented the ingredients well. Overall, I had a very satisfying dinner with delicious food and great service at a reasonable price.

I ate five limited-time fresh oysters on this day. I always order Changja Maki at Kushihachi and love it! It's so cheap, delicious, and the staff are all friendly. I always think that they must have good training for the part-timers.

On my day off, I visited Kushiya Hachi after many years. I arrived around 5 pm and found that it was already crowded with several customers. We ordered a seasonal assortment of kushikatsu, sashimi platter, and deep-fried shiitake mushrooms, among other dishes. The food was delicious, especially the yellowtail sashimi. I used to love the leek and salted chicken skewers, but this time they didn't taste as good as before. Despite ordering a lot of food and drinks for three people, the bill came out to be around 3000 yen per person, which was very reasonable. The restaurant is now completely non-smoking, which is great for families. It's a perfect place to have a fun and affordable meal with friends.

I visited the restaurant around 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2019. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and has an open atmosphere. I enjoyed dishes such as chicken skewers, shrimp skewers, pork and asparagus rolls, green asparagus skewers, grilled sandfish with salt, kimbap, Korean pancake rolls, plain shochu highball, and two quail skewers. The yakitori, kushikatsu, sashimi, and various other menu items are plentiful and very delicious at affordable prices. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will definitely visit again. This is Kushihachi at Shijo Omiya. It's a pretty big store. It's a reliable Kushihachi group. The menu is extensive. First, we ordered a mixed plate of kushikatsu. The high-quality kushikatsu was delicious. We also enjoyed the Caesar salad, hosomaki, and dashimaki. It's a convenient and helpful place for drinking with multiple people.

A skewered cutlet restaurant near Hankyu Omiya Station. I went there with my friend from Kyoto for drinks, and it was cheap and delicious, as they said. The skewers were priced from 80 yen each, which is really cheap! The frying style and sauce were lighter compared to Osaka. I was a bit tipsy and full, so I don't remember much, but I think it was delicious. The spacious layout of the restaurant was nice too. I would like to go there again!

I was still not satisfied after eating at Kushiya Hachi on Karasuma Street at 9:30 PM, as it was fully booked. So I took the Hankyu train to Kushiya Hachi in Omiya. The restaurant was spacious and there were a few customers. Kushiya Hachi serves delicious yakitori and kushikatsu, which are small and easy to eat. Overall, the food was tasty and satisfying.

Everything was delicious. It was fun to watch the chefs prepare the food while sitting at the counter. The sashimi was also delicious. Sitting at the counter allowed for good lighting for taking beautiful photos!

The atmosphere inside the store is great. Mr. Iwasaki's customer service is fantastic. I wish he could work at our company.

Today, in these times, I was looking for a yakitori restaurant that offers takeout, and I found Kushihachi. I placed an order over the phone, and they responded very politely and the service was great. The texture of the batter was still soft even when it cooled down, and my girlfriend also praised it. It may be tough from now on, but let's all overcome it together!

The pork-wrapped shrimp katsu, shirako, and green asparagus with tartar sauce were delicious.

Went out with friends for a casual dinner around 7 pm. Had to wait for about 30 minutes as we didn't make a reservation, but it was worth it. The restaurant had a great variety of dishes at a good price, and we had a fun and delicious meal. We enjoyed some drinks, ate to our heart's content, and it only cost around 2500 yen per person.
