Kaiichiro Hirai Memorial Library's "TULLY'S COFFEE" caught my eye with its impressive building. I was surprised because I only knew it as a gym and auditorium in the past, but it's been about 35 years, so it's not surprising. Tully's is located on the first floor of that building. I initially headed to "Yunge" for some cool air, but it was full of students (which is expected), so I ended up here. I ordered the "Grapefruit Separate Tea (T)" (440 yen) - as shown in the photo. It's an iced tea with grapefruit syrup and frozen fruit pieces. I remember trying this drink at another Tully's in the past and liked it. What I like most is the perfect blend of the slight bitterness of black tea and the acidity of grapefruit, creating a unique and pleasant aftertaste. It's not too sweet, has a refreshing kick, and doesn't leave a sticky feeling in the mouth, perfect for a cool sensation. The frozen fruit pieces add an extra element to enjoy. Overall, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I used to visit the library when it was next to Gakurankan. Not because I was a studious person, but to hang out with friends and cool off. Back in our time, the main reason for using the library during summer vacation was to find a cool place. Even in elementary school, when we complained to our parents about the heat, they would suggest going to the library as if it were a beach or pool. The world has become more convenient now. But whether we take that convenience for granted or appreciate it is just a matter of perspective.
