I was taken there by my father. It was so delicious that even though it was after dinner, I ate too much. I had fresh sea urchin, fresh yuba (tofu skin), vegetable stew, oden (radish, egg, beef tendon, konjac), amberjack sashimi, deep-fried whitebait with grated daikon, firefly squid with vinegar miso dressing. It was so delicious that I was surprised. I couldn't find the words to describe it. I had seconds of fresh sea urchin, and I could eat the vegetable stew every day. I can't fully describe it, but everything else was delicious too. I will definitely come back. It's so delicious, yet it's only a little over 7000 yen...? It's too cheap... I want to move next door...

The food at this restaurant was delicious. Especially the eggs in the oden were the best I've ever had. The flavor of the oden broth soaked into the daikon radish was refreshing, cleansing my palate from heavy seasonings. I was initially drawn in by the interesting English signage outside the restaurant, but it turned out to be a great decision to dine there. I will definitely visit again when I stay near Kyoto Station. Service was good, the atmosphere was cozy with counter seats, and the pricing was reasonable. Overall, I rate this restaurant 3.5 out of 5, as it provided the highest level of satisfaction.

I'm having a drink at Nobilitas♪ The location is excellent, just a stone's throw away from Kyoto Station. The atmosphere is calm and inviting. Tonight's dishes include: raw yuba, grated nagaimo, assorted skewers, simmered beef tendon, dried firefly squid, rolled omelette, maru eggplant dengaku, okaka roll, grilled whole dried squid. Tonight's drinks include: highball, grapefruit sour, Akashika red label, Fukusuke. The highball in the cute glass is soothing after a long week. The grated nagaimo with umeboshi is a refreshing combination. The skewers are mainly vegetable-based and healthy. The dried firefly squid is starting to be grilled, so it's time to switch to sweet potatoes. The red label and Fukusuke bottles are lined up by my wife, so let's start with the red label. The grilled firefly squid is packed with the umami of the sea. It's a delightful dish. The rolled omelette is a refined dish with a fluffy texture. The maru eggplant dengaku is a Kyoto-style dish with a rich white miso flavor. The okaka roll is a nostalgic and simple dish. The grilled whole dried squid is tender and sweet, with a rich flavor. It pairs well with the Fukusuke. The atmosphere is calming, and the service is considerate. The staff occasionally check the table and provide thoughtful gestures like serving fruits as a complimentary treat. It's a welcoming and enjoyable place. The name of the restaurant means "relax and enjoy," and that's exactly what you can do here. It's a cozy and authentic spot with a touch of Kyoto charm. It was a fun evening of drinking, thank you for the meal♪

The dishes were delicious, but I felt that there were slightly fewer options for main dishes and rice.

When I was searching for a place to enter, I saw a signboard advertising oden for 150 yen, which made me feel relieved and decided to go in. The shop was quite spacious with a relaxed atmosphere, and had a counter set up in an L-shape. The owners, who seemed to be a couple, were very quick in serving oden and beer. They mentioned that I looked thirsty and recommended the beer. The oden was lightly seasoned and all items were priced at 150 yen each, which was great. The taste was decent overall, but the thick fried tofu seemed a bit bland. The rolled omelette was just okay, nothing special. It felt like something I could have made myself. However, the prices were very affordable and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The shop had a mix of business travelers and regular customers, making it easy to feel comfortable and enjoy the experience.

I visited this shop in front of the hotel during my business trip to Kyoto. I arrived alone at 8:00 PM and there were a few customers at the counter, many of whom seemed to be regulars. I ordered a Super Dry beer, which was nicely chilled and delicious. The food included oden and yudofu, and everything was tasty. Two children helped out in the shop, greeting each customer with a warm "irasshaimase." I was impressed by the friendly atmosphere and the reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

I visited this restaurant after finding another one full. It's located very close to Kyoto Station. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with an L-shaped counter and about 10 seats, as well as one table. The food was reasonably priced and delicious, especially the grilled salted yellowtail collar which paired perfectly with sake. The oden dishes were all priced at 150 yen each, and I tried the beef tendon and fish cake. The broth was light in flavor. They didn't have a wide variety of sake, but the Kyoto brand "Aosora" was quite tasty. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife, with the husband having a gentle demeanor and the wife being efficient and helpful. The wife even gave me some advice on sightseeing in Kyoto. It was a friendly and welcoming place. Thank you.

I used this restaurant for a solo dinner during a business trip to Kyoto. It was early in the week and the place seemed quiet. I initially thought it was an oden shop because of the sign advertising oden for 150 yen each, but it turns out they only serve oden during the winter. I ordered some delicious sashimi of natural flounder with grated daikon and ponzu sauce, perfect with some sake. I also ordered oden with beef tendons and grilled tofu, both were excellent. The tendons were tender and the tofu had a nice texture, especially when eaten with a bit of mustard. There was also a surprising dish of salted cheese with sea squirt, which had a concentrated flavor of the sea squirt and a fresh taste. The marinated mackerel in miso paste was also delicious, with the fish's moisture removed to intensify its flavor. Despite all these dishes, the bill was surprisingly cheap - I think it was around 4,000 yen with change. I know many places where just the flounder sashimi would cost that much. I think I found a great restaurant and I will definitely return on my next business trip.

I was checking out this restaurant before heading back after hanging out a bit at Kyoto Station. The exterior has a slightly stylish and modern izakaya vibe. The naming is also somewhat trendy. However, the food was a bit disappointing. When I ordered oden, the thick tofu was almost raw, as if it had been put in the broth only about 5 minutes ago (estimated). The surface of the tofu was hard. The daikon radish was cooked properly, but it lacked the appeal to attract you to the broth. I also ordered grilled chicken wings, but the chicken itself was not tasty. They offered two small side dishes as a service, and one of them was a mixture of sliced green onions and chashu from the famous ramen shop Shinpukusai in the nearby Takahashi area. It was surprisingly delicious. I thought about buying some chashu from Shinpukusai and trying to make it at home. The young couple running the restaurant seemed to be working hard, which I appreciated, but I hope they can improve the quality of their dishes. The location is surrounded by merchant inns and backpacker hostels, so I hope they aim higher and don't let their standards slip. The prices, however, were surprisingly cheap, which was a pleasant surprise.

This is a new restaurant that opened in September 2008. It feels like a waste to simply call it an "izakaya" because the dishes served here are so delicious that it leans more towards being a "small dishes restaurant." With a counter of 8 seats and one table, the efficient owner cooks behind the counter while his thoughtful wife takes care of the front. They are a friendly couple, and the handwritten menu changes daily. I have visited a few times and tried dishes such as sashimi platter, onion salad with shiso, grilled mackerel, grilled squid legs, fried chicken, fried oysters, fried sandfish, various oden items, onigiri, miso soup, and tonjiru. The freshness and seasoning of the fish are excellent. I was impressed by the owner's care, as he hand-cuts all the daikon radish garnishes for the sashimi. Despite being the only one in the kitchen, the owner works efficiently and dishes come out promptly even when the place is full. This is thanks to the well-coordinated teamwork between the owner and his wife. The thoughtful wife even serves miso soup quickly when customers return from overseas trips. It's a simple but truly delicious place to eat. I'm lucky to live nearby! The cost-performance is also excellent, making it tempting to come here every day.
