I visited this café about 15 years ago. I occasionally stop by when I come to the hospital. It has an old-fashioned feel, spacious, and they have manga books available. I ordered the pilaf for 750 yen because I like fried rice and pilaf. They serve the pilaf on a hot plate with a layer of scrambled eggs on top. It's not frozen or microwaved, it's freshly made and quite delicious. For men, I think the set meal would be more filling, but the pilaf is just right for women. The rice here is well-cooked, and the coffee is also delicious, so I feel reassured. It's not as cheap as chain restaurants, but I think it's a café that has been diligently maintained as an old-fashioned establishment. There are many regular customers, and whenever I'm nearby, I feel like stopping by this café.

When you get off the overpass crossing JR to the east at the intersection of National Route 9 "Shimoshiino", turn left. The shop is located next to the south of the municipal hospital. Inside the shop, there are counter seats and table seats. It can accommodate many people. The interior has a Showa era atmosphere, with quite a few manga available. I ordered the daily special lunch in a large serving. It includes mini hamburger, squid rings, fried white fish, shrimp fry, one side dish, pickles, and salad all on one plate. The mini hamburger is quite delicious. The fried items like squid rings are crispy and freshly fried. It came with tartar sauce, which I enjoyed. I love white fish fry, so I was happy to see it on the plate! It's also nice that there is plenty of tartar sauce. The rice was surprisingly tasty and not smelly. The salad has a good volume and balance. Tomatoes and boiled eggs add color to it. All this with a drink included for 900 yen. I was informed by a regular customer that the specialty here is the Big Tonkatsu. This time I went with the daily special due to the late hour, but I would like to try the Big Tonkatsu next time if I get the chance. Thank you for the meal!
