Nanoka is a teppanyaki restaurant located about a 10-minute walk from JR Umekoji Kyoto Nishi Station in Kyoto. You can enjoy watching the cooking right in front of you at the counter. We tried the okonomiyaki, yamaimo yaki, and omu-soba, and all of them were delicious! It was great that we could choose the sauce as well.

After leaving the okonomiyaki restaurant, I walked up the street. "Ah! Here it is!" I had heard good things about this place and wanted to visit, but I hadn't realized it was located between Nanajo and Hanayacho streets. I had already eaten elsewhere, so on this first visit, I just stopped by for a quick look. I ordered some sweet potato tempura for my partner... freshly fried! That alone made me happy, and it was also delicious. It was fluffy but not lacking in texture, with a nice crunch from the onions. I walked north from Nanajo on this day, but if I had walked south from Hanayacho, I would have been satisfied with just this one place. Next time, I'll visit for lunch as my first stop.

"Nanosa" is a teppanyaki dining restaurant where anyone you introduce will be pleased with the delicious food and beautiful interior. It is located in Gomae Hanayamachi, which may be a bit local, but the cost performance is great, so it's worth taking a taxi to get there. On this day, we celebrated a friend's engagement with champagne to start, followed by sours and shochu. We ordered Okonomiyaki Mix, 400g of beef fillet steak, shrimp and scallop butter grill, and garlic seseri. In addition to the items in the photo, we also ordered sashimi of horse mackerel and squid, deep-fried dried squid, natto omelette, and mentaiko, all for less than 10,000 yen per person.

Sevenjo Gozen's teppanyaki dining "Nanosa" is a must-visit restaurant that will make you a repeat customer. The beautiful and spacious interior, along with the excellent service and hospitality, create a pleasant dining experience. The teppanyaki dishes, including okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and chijimi, are delicious, as well as the A5 grade fillet and sirloin Wagyu beef. Seasonal vegetables and seafood are cooked on the teppan, with a variety of sauces and seasonings to choose from. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, including fresh sashimi and other appetizers, ensuring a satisfying meal. Some recommended dishes include the mixed okonomiyaki, garlic seseri, conger eel, stir-fried shrimp and scallops, and grated yam teppanyaki.

There are plenty of dishes besides teppanyaki, such as sashimi and creative dishes. This day, I enjoyed Maizuru's Tori shellfish, which is only available this season. I had the Tori shellfish, which was still alive, seared with salt and lemon. It was thick yet tender and very delicious. - Thick Maizuru Tori shellfish seared with salt and lemon - Garlic stir-fry with chicken tenderloin and garlic stems - Cabbage stir-fry with shrimp - Fluffy grilled grated yam - Cheese spring roll sticks

Tonight, I found the seasonal firefly squid on the daily menu at the reliable and reassuring "Nanonano" restaurant. It was big and had a nice texture. The teppanyaki menu is expanding with new items, and there is a great variety of fish dishes, so I ended up staying longer than planned. Tonight, I tried the celery and lemon chu-hai that I had been curious about, and it was surprisingly delicious. The dishes I enjoyed were firefly squid with vinegar miso, pork belly, stir-fried konjac, lotus root with garlic soy sauce, shrimp with gorgonzola, and garlic grilled chicken. Unfortunately, there is no photo of the grilled udon.

Okonomiyaki, A4 steak, abalone, oysters, shrimp, etc. teppanyaki, seasonal sashimi, creative dishes, and appetizers. The menu is so fulfilling that you won't need a second party. It's a bit off the main street, but definitely worth a visit. Closed on days with a "1" and open until midnight. Menu includes: Wagyu fillet steak, seafood gorgonzola, oyster seaweed butter sauté, tofu steak, garlic seseri, assorted cheese, and oyster okonomiyaki a la carte.

Hanaya-cho Gozen is an oasis. They have everything. It's cheap and delicious!! In this area, this restaurant might be the number one in teppanyaki quality. They have a wide variety of menu options from Japanese to Western cuisine. I recommend sitting at the counter.

This is a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I often go there at night, and I always sit at the counter. This time, I will be sitting at a table teppanyaki for the first time! Today, we have a driver, so we don't have to worry about getting home. The restaurant is run by a father, mother, and son. The father used to be a famous hotel Japanese chef, specializing in tempura, grilled fish, and sashimi, while the son handles the teppanyaki section. The mother takes care of the dining area. Therefore, the menu is extensive. The menu is written inside the restaurant and on blackboards. Let's start with a toast with beer! It's a friend's birthday, and a beautiful lady who is half French is also celebrating. Let's toast with sparkling wine for the birthday celebration. Let's have some wine too. We ordered squid tempura with salt, grilled chicken thigh with garlic, whale bacon, beef steak, garlic shrimp, salt-grilled red snapper, tofu salad, and okonomiyaki with soba. The food was delicious, and we had a great time. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It is a restaurant I often visit. They offer a good balance of various dishes, from sashimi to teppanyaki, okonomiyaki, and fried foods. The photo shows me enjoying the food so much that I could only take a little. It may be a bit pricey, but I think it's great for dates or special occasions.

Visited for lunch with two people on a weekday. You can park your bike or bicycle in the space next to the shop. The interior of the shop is modern, with white as the base color and dark brown wood accents. We arrived around 11:30 and already 70-80% of the seats were taken, with the shop being full by 12:00. At that time, the customers were mostly women. The lunch prices range from 850 to 1300 yen. The set meals come with coffee or tea, and you can get a refill of rice. I had the Mama's Special Lunch for 850 yen, and my companion had the Yoro Mountain Pork Ginger Pork Set for 1100 yen. The Mama's Special Lunch included a main dish (on this day it was stewed hamburger), side dishes (simmered Chinese cabbage, burdock and carrot with mayo), rice, miso soup, pickles, homemade shredded dried bonito with Sansho pepper, and coffee or tea. The stewed hamburger had a firm texture with a slightly weak binding, and the broth was clear with a hint of consomme and ketchup. The Chinese cabbage was slightly sweet, and the miso soup was made with a barley miso from Ehime, which had a subtle sweetness and a refined taste. The ginger pork in the set meal was slightly sweet with a light soy sauce-based sauce. The meal was served in a bowl because of the large portion of rice. The coffee served after the meal was brewed using a siphon, and it was delicious. Overall, it felt like a home-cooked meal by a skilled mother, and the service was friendly. The neighbors' dishes, such as Chige Udon and curry, looked delicious. The shop also serves breakfast and evening meals with teppanyaki and creative dishes, so there may be different charms to enjoy.

Located around the middle of Hanaya-cho Gozen-dori and Shichijo Gozen-dori, there is a teppanyaki restaurant that seems to focus on the evening. However, they also offer morning and lunch under the sign "Cafe Nanona". The building is tiled in a light brown color, set back a bit from the 1st floor with a white wall base and a simple black and white sign. The interior is decorated in a monochrome tone with white walls and dark brown furnishings and floors. However, there is a slightly cluttered impression as beer crates are visible in some areas. On a morning when a bakery I planned to visit was closed, and a ramen shop already had a long line before opening, I ended up at this restaurant. Despite the presence of ashtrays, it was fortunate that there were no other customers so I could enjoy my meal comfortably. I ordered the morning set with bacon and eggs, and they ground the beans and toasted the bread on a teppan grill. The coffee had a rich aroma and a clean taste with a gradual bitterness. The toast was thick and had a crispy exterior with a soft and chewy interior. The bacon and eggs were decent, but they were overshadowed by the high quality of the coffee and toast.

Today's lunch break is usually a bento box, but today I ended up eating out at Nono Nana Shichijo Gozen. I remembered going there once for dinner when it had just opened, and the teppanyaki and other dishes were really delicious. When I found out they had lunch, I was sure it would be delicious, so I decided to try it out. I ordered Mama's Whim Lunch for ¥850. The overall presentation was a bit dull - chicken teriyaki, rolled omelette, simmered pork and cabbage, pickled vegetables, chirimen sansho (dried young sardines with Japanese pepper), miso soup, rice, and a drink were included. The chicken was average, the rolled omelette was tough, the simmered pork and cabbage was better when I made it myself, the rice was hard, the miso soup was warm, the pickled vegetables were the best part, and the post-meal coffee was appreciated. I guess the lunch changes daily, so there are hits and misses.
