I didn't see any big supermarkets around, so I wonder if these kinds of stores support the local community. The interior is bright and clean. I was looking for something Kyoto-like, but since I couldn't keep refrigerated items until I got home, I searched for something at room temperature. Oh, simmered daikon radish? Sounds delicious!
