This is a review of a hamburger offered at a butcher shop that handles Takasugi beef. The shop also sells frozen sirloin, hamburg steak, and dumplings, and is open year-round. I happened to come across this shop and decided to give it a try. When I called ahead to place an order, I was given the option of ordering the hamburger as a single item or as a set. The only choice for the hamburger was a cheeseburger, with the option of tomato sauce or teriyaki sauce. For the set, you could choose between wavy fries or cheese-filled fried balls, along with a soft drink. We chose cola to go with our cheeseburger with tomato sauce. The sauce turned out to be a rich demi-glace-like flavor. The patty was delicious, and the warm bun added a nice touch. The set was reasonably priced at just over 1000 yen. I went in with a light stomach, but I was pleasantly surprised by how satisfied I felt. I'm curious about trying their dumplings next time.

In order to leave more of a mark in Takasu Town since I came here by private helicopter, I decided to visit "Moo-chan's House". Yay! Moo-chan's House is a direct sales store operated by Nitta Farm, a livestock company. I wanted to try their hamburgers, but unfortunately, they were sold out. So, I bought some meat to take home instead. I bought some Takasu beef sliced meat scraps (crossbred) for 203 grams for 810 yen (tax included). The beef tastes quite rich, and I may have overcooked it a bit.
