I visited this restaurant on December 30th, as many other Japanese restaurants were closed for the year-end. It was recommended by a friend, located on the second floor of a hotel, offering both table and counter seats. I chose to sit at the counter and ordered the "Yūshō Lunch" for 2700 yen, which included various dishes like appetizer, small plates, sashimi (yellowtail and tuna), fried dish (cream croquette with shrimp), simmered dish (daikon radish and fish head), and rice cooked in a clay pot with raw egg. The atmosphere was nice and I was surprised by the reasonable prices. I heard that the restaurant opened in the fall of 2021, so I was impressed by their pricing amidst the pandemic. I was satisfied with the meal and would like to thank the staff for their hospitality.

I visited this restaurant again because I had a very good impression last time. The price has increased from 1,500 yen to 2,500 yen this time, but considering how good the 1,500 yen price was, I didn't mind the increase. However, I was a bit disappointed because the variety of small dishes that I enjoyed last time had been replaced with sashimi. The charm of the restaurant seemed to have decreased with the price increase.

I visited for lunch. I ordered the Omi beef lunch and sukiyaki bowl. The side dishes were delicious. I paid extra for sashimi. The egg had a rich yolk color and was bouncy. The meat was tender and the rice was delicious. I went with foreigners, and the female staff who served us didn't respond or interrupted our conversation, which bothered me a bit. The food was delicious, but it left me feeling a little disappointed. We were able to eat in a private room and relax. The room had a Fendi theme, it was a lovely room. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant for lunch in May 2022. It is located in Hotel Emion, about a 20-minute walk from Kyoto Station or a 5-minute walk from JR Ume-Koji Kyoto Nishi Station. I made a reservation for the 11:00 seating, and was seated at the counter. The counter seats are spacious and separated by acrylic boards. I ordered the Omi beef sukiyaki bento lunch for 1,500 yen, the market-fresh sashimi bento lunch for 1,500 yen, a glass of sparkling wine for 1,000 yen, and chilled sake for 900 yen. The bento boxes arrived first, containing 7 kinds of appetizers. The presentation was lovely and the flavors were delicious. About 30 minutes later, the main dishes of sashimi and sukiyaki were served, along with rice from the pot and miso soup. It was a great deal for 1,500 yen. The rice from the pot was exceptionally tasty. The sake and sparkling wine may vary by day, but both were delicious. I highly recommend it.

I had some business near Kyoto Station, so I went to the restaurant Arare located on the 2nd floor of Hotel Emion Kyoto for lunch. Reservations are required. They have two time slots, one starting at 11:00 and the other at 12:45. You need to inform them of your menu choice when making a reservation. I chose the "Colorful Bento Lunch" which allows you to choose between sukiyaki or sashimi. I chose sukiyaki. First, a two-tiered bento box was brought out, filled with beautifully colored dishes that looked like jewels. It was lovely! I finished it in just 5 minutes. The taste was very elegant. After finishing, the sukiyaki was served. It was simmering hot in a pot. I cracked an egg and dipped the onions in the flavorful broth. It was delicious. There was enough rice left in the pot for about two more servings, so I made some tamago kake gohan (egg over rice) with the remaining egg. All of this for only ¥1500 (including tax) is a great deal. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I stayed at Kyoto Emion Hotel and made a reservation at the on-site restaurant, Yu-sho, for lunch. I had reservations for both 11:00 and 12:45. I arrived a little early and had to wait 15 minutes before being seated. The restaurant has private rooms named after brands, and this time I was in the Fendi room, which was spacious. The food was all wonderful, especially the rice cooked in a pot, which was so delicious that I had plenty of refills. The service was also excellent, leaving me completely satisfied with the experience at this price point. I would definitely make time to visit again when I come to Kyoto.

I made a reservation for a 1500 yen lunch and went. The restaurant had private rooms and a counter, and we were seated in a private room. I chose sukiyaki as my main dish. The rice cooked in a pot was said to be delicious, so I had high expectations. The appetizers were seasoned just right to bring out the flavor of the ingredients. It took a bit of time for the rice to cook, and I had finished my sukiyaki, but I was planning to have the rice with raw egg anyway, so it was okay. The rice in the pot was shiny and looked delicious, so I tried it on its own first. It was delicious as expected! I mixed the egg with soy sauce and salted kelp, as instructed, and savored the rice by chewing it well. It was so delicious! The restaurant started to get crowded with customers coming in one after another, so it was a good decision to make a reservation and go.

Visited the restaurant with two others for my father's birthday. We made a reservation directly at the store a week in advance, but only the 12:45 slot was available due to the popularity of the place. The restaurant was fully booked for the day except for reserved customers. The price of 1500 yen including tax was quite reasonable considering the quality of the food. However, due to the two-session system, there was a bit of chaos in serving the dishes, despite having a decent number of staff. Sitting at the counter, I could see everything and it was a bit unsettling. There was a long gap between finishing the bento box and receiving the sashimi and hot pot rice, which I think they should improve on. The food was delicious and worth the price, but I was a bit disappointed with the service timing. Perhaps they were short-staffed that day. Overall, I appreciate the concept of the restaurant - providing tasty food at a low cost with a fancy interior. Thank you.

I had lunch at the Japanese restaurant "Kyoshun-sai Yusho" on the 2nd floor of Hotel Emion Kyoto. The restaurant is located in a hotel directly connected to the station, with a restaurant area on the 2nd floor. There were about 5 groups of waiting customers, but I was able to enter smoothly as I had made a reservation the day before. Colorful lunch box #Omi beef #Sukiyaki lunch (1,500 yen) Seasonal colorful octagonal two-tiered box (pumpkin castella, duck loin, taro potato, mozuku vinegar, pickled Chinese cabbage, egg tofu, homemade tofu, soybean stew) The octagonal dish served at the beginning is a refined assortment typical of Kyoto. Omi beef sukiyaki (Omi beef, tofu, enoki mushrooms, lettuce, onion) The Omi beef is so delicious and melts in your mouth, making you want to eat more rice! The sukiyaki with lettuce instead of Chinese cabbage is also delicious! Kama-meshi white rice The rice cooked in an individual earthenware pot is shiny and really delicious. I wanted to eat more even though it was only about two small rice bowl servings (laughs). Concentrated red egg The very red egg is delicious when eaten with sukiyaki or poured over rice for a TKG (tamago kake gohan). Pickles (radish, shiba-zuke, salted kelp) Red miso soup Private rooms seem to be themed after Tiffany and Hermes, but they were fully booked so I couldn't see them. It's very popular, so making a reservation is recommended.

I visited the Japanese restaurant "Kyoshun-sai" in Hotel Emion Kyoto, located in front of JR Umekoji Kyoto Nishi Station on the 2nd floor. I tried their lunch menu, which was delicious and very generous in portion, making it quite a great deal! The lunch menu offered until the end of November and the limited edition "Hanakago Bento" were particularly reasonable, and even the freshly cooked rice in the earthen pot was delicious!
