I visited after a long time. Today, they had a new item - asparagus directly from Hokkaido. I ordered it and it had a strong, distinct flavor. It was different from what I usually have. I recommend everyone to order it. The anago tempura was served with koshiabura.

When spring comes, I feel like visiting. The reason is the delicious bamboo shoot and butterbur sprout with mountain pepper. I wanted to taste these two that I missed last year, thanks to the Sakurazuki Prize. The last parent and child bowl was the best. Everything is delicious at Miya-san's place. The asparagus tempura was also good. I will definitely visit again!

The dashimaki is excellent, of course, but the simmered dishes are also wonderful. The butterbur and sansho pepper simmered dish is my favorite dish of the year. I tried to imitate it even though I don't cook, but it didn't come close at all. There are few restaurants like this nearby, so I am grateful to be able to enjoy it here. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This restaurant specializes in dashimaki and side dishes, attracting locals with its delicious offerings. The dashimaki tamago was particularly tasty, and the friendly smiles of the husband and wife owners left a lasting impression. The fried chestnuts in the appetizer were also delicious. I love restaurants like this. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely go back! By the way, I heard that the curtain at the entrance changes color depending on the season. Such attention to detail is great.

I visited the restaurant again on a whim. The appetizer was dressed in autumn attire, with chestnuts fried with their skins on, making them enjoyable to eat whole. The sashimi was sea bream and something else, both fresh and delicious. The steamed dish was seasonal, with ingredients like conger eel and shrimp, priced at 1200 yen. The rolled omelet was juicy and flavorful as always. The dishes were beautifully presented, especially the sashimi was delicious. The total cost was 5100 yen. I walked home happily.

I visited a hidden gem Japanese restaurant called "Dashi-maki and One Dish Cuisine Miya" located in a residential area in Fushimi after reading an article about it. The restaurant was bustling with locals, but luckily there was a vacant seat so I decided to dine in. The seasonal appetizers were delightful. The menu prices were reasonable, and I had a hard time choosing between simmered fish or grilled dish, but ended up ordering the recommended rolled omelette which was delicious with a rich dashi flavor. The restaurant is loved by the locals. It would have been even better if it was non-smoking.

The place is located in a residential area about a 10-minute walk from Keihan Tambabashi Station. I found this shop because... well, it's a funny story (laughs). I actually discovered it through a review by my Facebook friend, Mr. S, whom I always follow. I visited the shop with my usual close friends. Inside the shop, there are about 6 counter seats, 2 raised tables, and it's a cozy little place run by a husband and wife. We sat at the counter, raised a toast with draft beer, and placed our order. Here's what we ordered: - Tokusashi (assorted appetizers) in a cute lacquered bento box - Assorted sashimi platter with red snapper, flounder, striped jack, flathead fish, firefly squid, octopus, and more - Dried fish maki roll - Assorted tempura with a generous portion including 2 shrimp - Matsuboku plum wine and Kubota sake - Simmered red grouper - Vinegared octopus - Rice dish to finish, either oyakodon or mixed rice - Akaho beer We enjoyed all of this and the bill came to 5000 yen per person, which was very reasonable. The couple running the shop served the dishes with warm smiles and efficiency. In the raised seating area behind the counter, four local men were having a lively drinking session. It was a delightful and relaxing experience with delicious sake and fish. We will definitely visit again! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited this restaurant after being recommended by Mairebi-san. It is located a 10-minute walk from Tanbabashi Station, facing the Takeda Highway. The Takeda Highway used to have a tram running on the west side until 1970. We started with warm kasujiru soup and an appetizer. The presentation with peaches and holly leaves was beautiful. The sashimi platter for 2000 yen was enough for two people, with two pieces of each fish - sea bream, flounder, Spanish mackerel, striped jack, etc. The rolled omelette was exquisite, with a lot of dashi flavor. The red grouper simmered dish was also delicious and heartwarming. The kind couple running the restaurant made us feel at ease, not intimidating at all. We had a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant carefully selects ingredients to keep the prices from getting too high. It's a notch above your average izakaya. I would love to visit again. The Takeda Highway continues on, crossing Otemichi Street, passing under the Keihan Line, and reaching the Uji River. P.S. The original title was a bit cliché. When reviewing the photos late at night, I noticed the beauty of the dish decorations. I thought this kind of title would be suitable for my first review on Tabelog.
