This is Rokkatei, a shop located in Aeon Mall. I wanted to buy Rokkatei as a souvenir, so I came here because I heard it's available in Aeon Mall. Among the various items for sale, I bought the popular Marusei Butter Sand 4-piece set for 540 yen. It was convenient to purchase at Rokkatei.

I visited Rokkatei for the first time in a while. They are selling seasonal limited edition items. I chose a limited edition item and a regular item to purchase. I bought two "Natsui" (140 yen each). It has a soft and fluffy texture with a filling of small summer jam. It has a sweet and sour taste, very refreshing and you can really feel the summer vibe from it. The surface of the dough has a branding of the Ezo deer, a mountain wildflower that blooms in Hokkaido, making it a perfect summer treat from Hokkaido. I also bought "Hiyashi Shiruko" (280 yen) which comes with separate mochi. When you open the lid, there is a lot of shiruko, so I ate a little before adding the mochi! It is a smooth red bean paste type of shiruko. It has a moderate dryness, and although the sweetness seemed mild at first, the more you taste it, the sweeter it gets. However, the sweetness is refreshing and doesn't leave a heavy aftertaste. The mochi, even though it needs to be refrigerated, felt quite soft when soaked in the shiruko. I also purchased the regular items "Marsei Butter Sand" and "Strawberry Chocolate". Once again, I realized that Rokkatei's sweets have a consistently delicious taste!

The sweet potato, chestnut, and pumpkin pie is not something I usually enjoy, but since it's a seasonal treat and from Rokkatei, I decided to try it. I usually buy snacks for home or as gifts locally, and I realized I had never tried this one before. The potato pie was surprisingly not too sweet, with a hint of saltiness, and I enjoyed the moist texture. I usually prefer moist and soft desserts, so this was perfect for me. Yanagi Tsuki and Rokkatei have decided to stop buying and writing on their own. However, this does not apply to gifts received, even if it is from the bride. When the bride went on a business trip to Asahikawa, I thought she would bring back something interesting, but it turned out to be Rokkatei. I was a bit disappointed, but I had to smile and say "thank you" so she wouldn't stop buying it for me. She even went as far as to open it while humming a tune, saying "I wonder what it could be?" It's all about keeping her in a good mood. She ended up buying cream puffs, which are not very suitable for traveling since we were just going back and forth on the JR train. The cream puffs from Rokkatei were my first time trying them. They felt heavy and the pastry was different from what I was used to. The custard inside was not too sweet but quite dense. It made me worry about the calories. Rokkatei has delicious treats, but I think I'll pass on this one.

In Tokyo where I live, there is also an Aeon Mall. A large Aeon Mall stands in front of Asahikawa Station. The Aeon there is not much different from the one in my area, but in terms of tenants, it is more luxurious. Kitakitchen, Sazae, Yuzuki, and now Rokkatei. I wish my town had an Aeon like this, haha. I walk around Rokkatei. My goal is to buy the delicious snacks I ordered online recently and bring them back. I will send the package, so if I buy them early and put them in there, I won't have to pay for shipping again, that's the plan. However, as I look around the store, I can't find the items. At that moment, a store clerk approached me. Normally, I would say "I'm fine!" and decline the service, but this time I decided to ask. The clerk checked various things and said that the items are currently on sale but not in the store, but they can be ordered. Even if they can be ordered, I can't come to pick them up as a traveler. I gave up, but then the clerk said that they would arrive by the store's opening tomorrow. Huh? It was already past 5 pm. Certainly, even if it's a company from Hokkaido, with warehouses or factories nearby, will they be here in a few hours? Amazing. If they are willing to order it for me, I might as well buy a lot, right? I ordered 6 pieces of the chocolate. Each one costs around 350 yen, so buying 6 of them doesn't really count as buying a lot, haha. However, despite the small size, the chocolate is delicious. It's just right for a simple souvenir. The next morning, I received it safely and packed it in my luggage. I recently received a large amount of chocolate at home. I gave one box to my nephew. He said it was delicious as he ate it. Rokkatei has many sweets that bring a smile to your face.

This is the Aeon Mall in Asahikawa. It seems like they bought something at "Rokkatei". Even though this is Asahikawa, right? Next door is "Yagisuki" from Obihiro. There's not much of a divider, so I might accidentally put something from "Yagisuki" into the shopping basket of "Rokkatei". My wife bought various things, but she also bought something that I would like. It's "Rokkatei Daigo" for 140 yen. It's a cheese souffle. Inside the moist dough is a slightly sweet and sour cream cheese. It's different from what the name suggests (laughs). It was a very elegant and delicious Western confectionery.

I love it. Always have. *laughs* The harmony of Marseille butter sandwiched between drum pickled raisins and buttercream♪ I'll savor one slowly because I could eat as many as there are. (*^^*) Delicious~ Ohitachi butter Madeleine that uses plenty of butter from Ohirahara. It's moist and crunchy, and also delicious. Bon appétit~

Recently at Rokkatei, the perfect souvenirs are the Marseille Biscuits and Marseille Butter Cake. The Marseille Butter Sandwich and Choco Marron, which I used to eat as a child, have become smaller in size, losing their satisfying taste. The Butter Sandwich is now half the size it used to be, and the Choco Marron, previously known as Marron Colon, was one size bigger than it is now. Because of this, I no longer buy these two items for myself. However, the Marseille Biscuits are very convenient. They can be easily divided into smaller portions, making them perfect for souvenirs. The price is also just right.

I just went to Obihiro the other day, but due to time constraints, I had to return without stopping by. I received some Halloween cookies from a friend who lives in Obihiro as a souvenir, and they were delicious! I couldn't resist stopping by the city for a quick lunch and passing by the store front... I couldn't resist. I ended up buying a set of 4 Marusei butter sandwiches for 500 yen and 2 white chocolate cookies for 90 yen each. The cookies were slightly moist with a buttercream filling that complemented the rum raisin flavor. They were so delicious! I really think these are the best at Rokkatei. So yummy!

I looked around at various souvenirs, but in the end, I decided to buy what I wanted to eat. Assorted set of 14 pieces for 1,880 yen. Ah, I wish someone would give me this too! Haha (*^^*)

I bought souvenirs at Rokkatei's AEON Mall Asahikawa Station store. Today, I bought a pack of 4 butter cakes. Instead of butter sand, this has become a popular souvenir choice for me. Finally, it is available at all Rokkatei stores. The butter cake is light and delicious. I also bought the classic butter sand and strawberry chocolate as souvenirs. And the "beko mochi." Beko mochi is a popular Hokkaido snack, but surprisingly not many people know about it. Unlike the traditional leaf-shaped beko mochi, this one is round. It costs 90 yen each and it's also a hit. The taste is just as expected, but delicious.

I stopped by Rokkatei's store at Aeon Mall Asahikawa Station again. Today, I bought a 4-piece pack of butter cakes. They are not widely available yet, so when I give them as gifts to friends or colleagues, they are happy because of their rarity. I also bought some for myself. The ganache is subtly infused and the butter is light, making it easy to eat. The size is just right. It's not too rich, doesn't stick to your teeth, and it has become my favorite. Thanks to this, I haven't bought any other Rokkatei sweets recently.

I stopped by the Rokkatei store at AEON Mall Asahikawa Station today and bought a pack of 4 butter cakes. When you think of Rokkatei, you think of their Marusei Butter Sand, but this Marusei Butter is used in a sponge cake called Marusei Butter Cake. It's a sponge cake made with butter and filled with chocolate ganache. When you eat it, it feels light like a butter sand, probably because of the sponge cake. The butter flavor is not very strong in the sponge, and the ganache filling is just a small amount, so it's easy to eat.

I tried Rokkatei's butter cake for the first time last year and it was delicious. It seems to be a limited edition item and not available at airports or souvenir shops. Since it's not at Asahikawa Airport, I stopped by Rokkatei at Aeon Mall near Asahikawa Station. The display here was easy to see with most items laid out rather than in a display case. I bought a pack of four butter cakes for myself and as souvenirs. They look better than the smaller butter sandwich or chocolate chestnut ones, and are fluffy and easy to eat with just the right amount of sweetness. I plan to stop by here regularly.

So, I came to Asahikawa and found a pretty big Aeon mall here. It has a large food court and even a cinema. I decided to try the famous Rokkatei here, and got a Marseille Butter Cake for 120 yen including tax. When it comes to Rokkatei, their butter sandwich with buttercream and crunchy cookie raisins have a great taste, almost like cheating. New products? Sayohime has two-colored dough with red bean paste sandwiched in between, resembling a dorayaki. The fluffy dough and elegant red beans bring out a gentle sweetness. Another new product? Seafoam cake. When you pick it up, you feel the weight in the fluffy dough. Crack! It has a chiffon-like fluffy texture with plenty of custard cream. Yukatan?
