I went into MenMen near Fushimi Momoyama Station. It's a chain store for Chinese food in town. I wanted to eat gyoza, so I ordered gyoza and MenMen Tantanmen. It cost 1050 yen in total. The gyoza I was looking forward to was a bit watery and not as delicious as I had hoped, but the Tantanmen was quite tasty. Maybe because I usually eat ramen, the refined saltiness, stir-fried vegetables in oil, noodles, bean sprouts, green onions, and pork were well balanced and delicious. I may just be evaluating the Tantanmen dish, but I was satisfied, so I am giving a slightly positive review.

Sadly, it is rare to find "tanmen" in Chinese restaurants throughout the Kansai region. When asking acquaintances or friends, they usually respond with confusion, mistaking it for tantanmen or suggesting dishes like gomoku ramen or champon. However, surprisingly, tanmen can be enjoyed at Men Men in Kansai. The dish, made with stir-fried pork, cabbage, leeks, bean sprouts, and seasoned with a final touch of saltiness, is simply irresistible. It's a paradise for tanmen lovers like myself. Despite wanting to eat more, I had to remind myself not to overindulge and ended up also ordering gomoku yakimeshi, which was equally delicious.

It seems that prices have gone up starting from March 15th. The daily special, which used to be 680 yen, has increased to 750 yen. The menu in the photo with the light on says "Liver and Garlic Chives," but the Liver and Garlic Chives I had was 700 yen and now it's 750 yen. I was shocked by the increase in the daily special, the third photo, the pork and egg in chili sauce was so delicious.

I enjoyed a set of Tianjin rice with plenty of sweet and sour sauce and dumplings. The restaurant is a chain Chinese restaurant located near Momoyama Goryo-mae Station on the Kintetsu Kyoto Line. The atmosphere was mediocre. I visited around 2:00 PM and it was almost full, showing that the restaurant is popular. I did not order alcohol or drinks. I would rate this restaurant between 3.0 and 3.5.

Around 3:00 PM, I visited the "Gyoza Shop Minmin Momoyama Store" with one other person. The restaurant is located near the Keihan Fushimi Momoyama Station and Kintetsu Momoyama Goryo-mae Station. The shop was established in 1953, with the first store in Osaka's Sennichimae area. At that time, many customers didn't know how to pronounce "gyoza." The gyoza here is made with a filling of plenty of Chinese cabbage, pork, sheep, garlic, and 17 other ingredients, with a skin that is left to rest to bring out the flavors. They use high-quality peanut oil, onions from Awaji Island, and Koshihikari rice from Niigata, showing their attention to detail. Some of the menu items include: (Gyoza) - Grilled Gyoza (6 pieces) 330 yen, (Soups) - Egg Drop Soup 310 yen, (Appetizers) - Pickled Vegetables 260 yen, (Fried Dishes) - Fried Chicken 720 yen, (Side Dishes) - Crab Omelette 650 yen, (Rice Dishes) - Minmin Fried Rice 650 yen, (Noodle Dishes) - Dan Dan Noodles 750 yen. I tried the Dan Dan Noodles, Minmin Fried Rice, Grilled Gyoza, and Grilled Pork. The food was delicious, especially the Dan Dan Noodles which I highly recommend. I have been visiting this place recently because the surrounding shops are not very good. The daily special on this day was pork, egg, and wood ear mushrooms. It also had onions and was delicious. The vegetable stir-fry had little meat, so on those days, I plan to order liver and leeks. They are closed on Tuesdays, open on Tuesdays with a 3 at the end, and closed on Wednesdays.

Cucumber pickles for 260 yen, chicken karaage set for 1,380 yen, draft beer, gyoza, and chicken karaage with Shaoxing wine for 510 yen. Total: 2,150 yen. Today, I really wanted to drink a cold bottled beer during the day, even though I know I shouldn't. After visiting the Mausoleum of Emperor Nintoku and getting my throat dry, I went to the restaurant. I ordered Menmen yakisoba and Menmen fried rice (small). The Menmen yakisoba had plenty of bean sprouts. The fried rice was moist with a salty flavor, opposite to the "crispy, char siu soy sauce" style. I really like this combination.

I visited the Nemu Nemu restaurant in MomoYama today, which I had not been to since my last visit to Sanjo. The restaurant was busy during lunchtime, so I waited for a bit before being seated. After waiting for about 40 minutes, I finally got a table and enjoyed all the dishes, which were delicious. Overall, it was a good meal experience.

I suddenly felt like eating Chinese food, so I visited Minmin's place. The Tianjin fried rice here has a unique sauce that you won't find anywhere else. Give it a try sometime! I remember... the day I visited, everyone was getting takeout dumplings. I wonder what was going on? Thank you for the delicious meal.

On January 19, 2022, a little after 12 PM on a weekday afternoon, I visited the "Nemunemu Momoyama Store" for lunch. It had been about 2 and a half years since my last visit. The restaurant was almost full, but I managed to find a seat at a table for four. I ordered the daily special for 680 yen, which was "Small Shrimp Chili Egg," and added an order of grilled dumplings for an extra 230 yen. The dish was beautifully presented with a generous portion of fluffy egg topped with green chopped scallions. The flavor was a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory, with a delightful texture from the small shrimp. The rice was deliciously sweet and fluffy, and the mini soup with egg and seaweed was flavorful. The pickled vegetables added a nice touch to the meal. The grilled dumplings had a thin and soft skin with a perfect crispy texture. Overall, the meal was a big hit and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Dinner for the day was at "MenMen Momoyama Store" for the first time. Since the state of emergency has been lifted, we can now enjoy beer in Kyoto!! Our order was as follows (all prices include tax): - Sapporo Lager (large bottle) 660 yen - Gyoza x2 300 yen each - Green Pepper Pork 720 yen - Crab Fried Rice 620 yen *The fried rice was an additional order after having beer. Sapporo Lager (large bottle) arrived promptly and was nice and cold!! It tasted great!! The best!! We made our own dipping sauce for the gyoza. We don't use pre-made gyoza sauce. Gyoza lovers make their own sauce!! It's a mix of vinegar and soy sauce in a 5:5 ratio, with a little bit of chili oil. The gyoza and green pepper pork were served at the same time! I love MenMen's gyoza!! They are soft and packed with garlic flavor, but today's gyoza was just okay. It was tasty, but not as expected. I wonder why♪ The green pepper pork here is a stir-fry dish with bell peppers and thinly sliced pork. It was delicious!! Super delicious!! I wanted to drink up all the remaining sauce even though I didn't have any more to drink!! I debated whether to order another large bottle, but I went for the crab fried rice instead. It's a simple fried rice with mainly egg as the main ingredient. It's on the moist side and tastes really good!! As I write this review, I realized, did the soup come with the meal today? This was our fourth stop today, and my stomach is full!! Thank you for the meal!!

It's been a while since I went to "Min Min" for Chinese cuisine and drinks. It was delicious! The pickled cucumbers were a bit small in portion, so they gave me a discount. I hadn't had century egg in a while, and I really enjoyed it with the Shaoxing wine. The pan-fried dumplings here are also really good, even better than the ones at "Osho." The deep-fried pork liver is a must-have here, as it's not commonly found in other restaurants. I was very satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

I saw yakisoba on TV and felt like eating it, so I came to eat at MinMin. I ordered yakisoba with five ingredients, fried rice, and fried chicken with aromatic sauce. It would have been nice to have beer, but I'll have to do without. Overall, it's a bit greasy, but that's just right for me. Thank you for the meal! ^ ^

This is my second time visiting this year. I came because you can eat lots of vegetables here. It came out in just over 5 minutes. The fried liver for 680 yen is plumper than before. The previous one was maybe pre-made? However, it's a bit salty. There are a lot of blue-collar customers. I'll have to think about it.

There were 5 groups of customers before me. - Wonton-style soup dumplings for 440 yen: The soup was light, and the dumplings tasted similar to boiled dumplings. Seems good for health. - Bang Bang Chicken for 670 yen: At first, I thought there was too much sesame sauce, but it wasn't overpowering. The balance of chicken and sesame sauce was just right.

I visited around 19:00 on a regular day. There was one customer before me. Boiled dumplings for 300 yen were slightly larger than the fried ones. They may have just swelled up from boiling. The pork belly fried rice for 720 yen was moist and had a gentle texture. The pork belly was also tender. As someone with sensitive teeth, the pork belly got stuck in my teeth, making me want to floss right after eating.
