I visited Fushimi Inari, a popular spot with rows of torii gates, which is known for being a great place for photos. There were many foreign tourists saying things like "amazing" and "beautiful" all around. The Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine is quite large, so by the time I left, I was quite thirsty. Luckily, there was a cafe near the station, so I decided to go in. The cafe had a retro feel with a counter and table seats, and it was being run by a middle-aged lady. Despite the crowded streets outside, the inside of the cafe was surprisingly quiet. The iced cafe au lait I ordered (600 yen) was delicious, and I couldn't help but wonder why the cafe was so empty. It was nice to be able to relax and enjoy my drink in peace. After refreshing myself from the tiredness of the crowds, I left the cafe.

I walked around from Shijo to Gojo to Shichijo and suddenly saw a sign for Fushimi Inari, so I decided to head towards the Senbon Torii gates. After visiting, I took a break at this café.
- Coffee Jelly with Ice Cream: A coffee jelly topped with plenty of ice cream. The bitterness of the jelly pairs perfectly with the sweet ice cream, creating a delicious dessert.
- Matcha: A refreshing matcha with just the right amount of bitterness. It's more refreshing than mint gum or candy and helps soothe a tired body.
- They also offer cakes, pancakes, waffles, and you can add coffee or tea for an additional 200 yen. They have a wide variety of drinks including juice, yuzu tea, matcha milk, floats, drinking jelly, and more.

I visited around 12 o'clock. I used it for lunch on the way back from sightseeing with my friends at Fushimi Inari. It was Sunday, so the area was crowded with tourists, but there were few customers and it was a calm space. Perhaps because there were many foreigners, the staff were speaking in English ✨ It was windy and cold, so I wanted something warm and comforting... Kuzuyu (yuzu) ¥550 Toast (cinnamon) ¥300 Nandogu set (lemon tea) ¥750 Kuzuyu (yuzu)... It was a thick and firm kuzuyu. They use Yoshino kudzu powder. I don't know the quality of kudzu, but the flavor of yuzu and honey was abundant and comforting. It had a gentle taste, and it was to my liking ✨ Toast (cinnamon)... Four slices of toast with a light layer of margarine, and then a generous amount of cinnamon powder on top (◎_◎;) You can't breathe carelessly. lol * If you like cinnamon, you will be satisfied for sure. I was thinking 300 yen for toast... but this is reasonable. Nandogu set (lemon tea)... My friend's choice. The naan is soft and goes well with the curry sauce. It's a reasonable price at 750 yen. It may be a bit difficult to enter alone, but it felt like a shop loved by locals, a community-based shop.

I came here for the first time in January 2016. I had some errands to run and after struggling to finish them here, I looked for a quick lunch spot around lunchtime. It was hard to find one, but eventually I found this place. The atmosphere is retro, giving off a Showa era vibe. The prices are quite reasonable. I ordered the retro-style cutlet set meal. The thinness of the cutlet was understandable given the price. I was satisfied with the meal. It was a satisfying lunch of B-grade Western food.

Before visiting Oinari-san, it's important to fill your stomach. There is a restaurant located right after getting off at Keihan Fushimi Inari Station. Normally, it would be crowded with tourists, but due to the current situation, there are fewer people. The interior of the restaurant is decorated with banknotes left by foreign tourists. There were many banknotes from countries that were hard to identify. The breakfast menu offers 3 options, and we ordered B set and C set with iced coffee. It was simple but delicious.
