Uni Cafe is located near the back of Keibunsha, next to Tsubame Shokudo. Inside, you'll find original drawings by Kuninori Kaneko, which alone make this place special. Kuninori Kaneko passed away in 2015, so being able to see his artwork up close is a luxury. The atmosphere at night is very cozy. Customers who don't know each other end up chatting, thanks to the friendly owner. It's a great place to enjoy a drink alone as well. If you let the owner choose your drink or meal, you won't be disappointed. Plus, it's rare to find a place that serves set meals until midnight in this area. It's also a good spot to stop by after a drinking party.

It's a small cafe, not suitable for large groups. Perfect for dining alone. The menu includes daily lunch specials, beef tendon curry, omurice, and loco moco. The daily special was 880 yen and came with rice, miso soup, pickles, salad, and carrot salad as the main dish. The portion was generous and the taste was delicious. The staff were friendly and it was a very nice restaurant. Overall, it's not outstanding but a reliable place to eat. They also serve alcohol at night.

The cafe we originally planned to go to was full, so we had to wait outside. My partner stood in line while I peeked inside and saw that the menu looked delicious. After my partner took a look as well, we decided to change our plans and try this cafe instead. It turned out to be a great choice! We both ordered the "daily special set." While I was tempted by the Loco Moco bowl, my partner wanted to try the cheesecake, so we also ordered that. I was interested in the kinako (soybean flour) ice cream, but when I was told they had cheesecake and matcha gateau chocolat, I couldn't resist and ordered those too! We also ordered coffee to go with our desserts. The chicken nanban in the set was delicious, with a perfect balance of tangy and sweet flavors. The egg dip on top of the chicken nanban was also tasty. The coleslaw was good, but the miso soup was a bit salty. The freshly brewed coffee paired perfectly with the desserts. Both the cheesecake and matcha gateau chocolat were very delicious. It's a lovely cafe where you can relax and enjoy your meal. The prices were reasonable: 850 yen for the daily special set, 900 yen for the Loco Moco bowl, 750 yen for the chicken bowl, 400 yen for the cheesecake, 450 yen for the matcha gateau chocolat, and 400 yen for the coffee (200 yen if ordered with lunch). I would love to visit this cafe again.

I live in the Ichijoji area and I'm tired of ramen. Not in the mood for izakaya either. I want to eat at a cafe. But it's getting quite late... When that happens, I recommend this place. I ordered the loco moco bowl and a beer. I forgot what the other person ordered, haha. The staff seemed to be working diligently even though they were alone. The interior isn't very spacious but it has a cozy feel. The taste was neither good nor bad, just average. I might come back late at night again.
