Around 2 p.m., we visited "Kaiten Sushi Uogashi" located on the 4th floor restaurant floor of AEON MALL KYOTO with 2 people. Every weekend, fresh tuna from the local area is delivered to all stores. Depending on the store, they hold a tuna cutting show demonstration about twice a month. On the day of the cutting show, there is a chance to taste rare parts of the tuna. *Prices are excluding tax. I went to eat at Ion Mall Kyoto♪ I also had some shopping to do, so I was thinking about what to eat... I decided to go to this restaurant! It was surprisingly empty, which was nice compared to the usual hustle and bustle, but it was almost too quiet! The Toro Tekka, Karei no Karaage, and Chikuwa no Isobeage were delicious. The octopus wasn't that tasty. The kitsune udon was quite small... not very satisfying! The grilled conger eel was delicious though☆ Thank you for the meal! (^人^)

I entered this restaurant out of curiosity. The menu starts at 120 yen, but sushi dishes start at 300 yen. Due to this price range, there are not many dishes rotating on the conveyor belt, and ordering is the main way to get food. Orders are placed using a touch panel. Just like in a typical conveyor belt sushi restaurant, the color of the plates changes depending on the price of the fish, but there is no display showing which color corresponds to which price. You can check your order on a tablet, but if you take a plate from the conveyor belt, it won't be counted, and you have to look at the price list to confirm. It's quite inconvenient. I had mongou squid, yellowtail, whelk, seared mackerel, and another dish that I can't remember. The fish was fresh and the portions were generous. The yellowtail was red, and the seared mackerel was also red. In particular, the mongou squid was delicious when eaten with salt, with a very squid-like taste. The total bill came to just over 2000 yen. As others have mentioned, the fish was large and the prices were a bit high.

Having to call out to the staff each time... When I entered the restaurant, the counter was available, so I said it was fine to sit there. Then, a table in the back became available, so I was led there after being made to walk around the entire restaurant. When I arrived, I was told that water was self-service... (It was right by the entrance...) The organization was quite poor. As for the food, the ingredients were fresh and the sushi was delicious overall, even though it was a bit on the expensive side for conveyor belt sushi. Hirame (flounder) for 350 yen, maguro (tuna) for 350 yen x2, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) for 350 yen, ebi (shrimp) for 300 yen, tuna roll for 160 yen, tekka maki (tuna roll) for 300 yen.

After finishing up some errands at Kyoto Station Aeon Mall, we felt like eating something. It was already late for lunch, so we weren't very hungry. We decided to go to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant and eat as much as we wanted. I didn't know much about conveyor belt sushi restaurants since I don't come here often, so I was surprised to find out that the prices were quite reasonable. I had the image of each plate being 100 yen, so I was shocked to see the actual prices. The dishes were as shown in the photos, with each plate costing 100 yen. I couldn't eat fish on the 100 yen plates, so I ordered my favorite shrimp and medium fatty tuna with natto on top. Although it's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, there weren't many dishes rotating on the belt, and the main focus was on ordering directly. The spacious restaurant had only two staff members, so it was a bit chaotic. The quality of the sushi was higher compared to 100 yen conveyor belt sushi restaurants, and the portions were larger, but considering the prices, it still felt a bit expensive. If I have the chance, I might visit again. Thank you for the meal! ★

The quality of the dishes does not match the price. The side menu also felt cheap for the price. If they want to differentiate themselves from other cheap conveyor belt sushi chains, they should put more effort into each dish and have more attention to detail.

I hit a really amazing restaurant after a long time! I don't think I'll go there again, including the location... I had sushi based on tuna, but the quality is better at other 100 yen rotating sushi restaurants. I was surprised by the management's bold pricing. It was my first time, but I left after the first dish and didn't finish it (laughs). There are various opinions, so it may or may not be helpful as a reference.

I was undecided on what to eat at Ion, but my friend mentioned having sushi, so I decided to go to a sushi restaurant. It was a bit pricey, but the sushi was delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and the menu was extensive. It was enjoyable to watch the sushi being made right in front of me. If you visit Ion, I recommend trying this place, especially on a special occasion.

Located on the 4th floor of the Aeon Mall near Kyoto Station's Hachijo exit. It was a busy Saturday afternoon when I decided to satisfy my craving for conveyor belt sushi. It was just past noon and there was only one group ahead of me, so I was seated quickly. Last time I came around 2 pm, the sushi wasn't rotating on the belt and I had to order directly. I wonder if it becomes order-based after the peak hours. Today, there was a variety of sushi going around. I was hungry, so I had some fatty tuna, sea bream, and sea urchin. The sea urchin had a strange taste that made me tilt my head a bit. It had a weird bitterness to it. As for the egg sushi, I took one bite and couldn't taste anything at all. The only thing that tasted good besides the sushi was the yuba tempura roll. The service was efficient from the female servers, but the sushi chef seemed a bit lackluster. He seemed unenthusiastic and had to ask a few times even when I ordered directly at the counter. That was a bit disappointing.

I wanted to have sushi around Kyoto Station, so I decided to give it a try. I waited for about 30 minutes on a weekend evening. I ordered recommended items such as kanpachi, iwashi, aji, and sawara. Among them, sawara was the most delicious. Aji and iwashi were easy to eat without any fishy taste. Kanpachi was a bit underwhelming in terms of size and taste. Next, I ordered hotate and toro. Hotate had a thick and fresh texture, which was surprising. When I ordered toro, chu-toro came out. It seems that in this restaurant, toro equals chu-toro. It was quite fatty. It had smaller portions of fish. Personally, I found the slightly sweet flavor of the shari a bit off-putting, maybe because I'm not used to it. Overall, the amount of shari was small, so it might be good for enjoying the fish. I ordered everything from the chef, but the service was a bit slow. It was a bit disappointing as they didn't seem too busy. I noticed there were many foreign customers, and I was impressed by how quickly the English menu was provided. Apart from the recommended items, I honestly felt that the rest was mediocre.

I stopped by the revolving sushi restaurant at the Aeon Mall in front of Kyoto Station because I love the grated yam and quail eggs there. I was surprised to see many Western customers inside the restaurant! Maybe there are more foreign visitors in this area? The staff seemed quite irritated, and I could feel the tension even as a customer. I couldn't bring myself to enjoy the meal. I can understand the staff's feelings to some extent, but it was really difficult to endure. I thought the service of recommending freshly made dishes while walking around the restaurant was innovative and unique compared to other revolving sushi restaurants... but I won't be visiting again.

This was probably my first visit. I was still recovering from an illness on this day, so I couldn't predict how much I could eat. Being able to order sushi one plate at a time was perfect for me. The sushi was rotating on the conveyor belt, but the chef kindly took my order. The service was good for the price. The size of each roll was just right for me, and I ended up having about 4-5 plates. The fish was fresh, and if I was feeling better, I could have eaten more. The cost performance was good, and the total bill was around 2,000 yen. It's a casual sushi restaurant where you can easily enjoy sushi without spending a lot of money when you just want a little taste of sushi.

In October 2014, I visited a sushi restaurant located in Aeon Mall KYOTO on the south side of Kyoto Station. It is a conveyor belt sushi chain, and it seems to be the only one in Kyoto Prefecture. There was a line of about 15 people waiting to get in, and it took about 30 minutes before I could finally enter. The restaurant has both counter and table seats, making it suitable for solo diners as well. I observed the dishes passing by on the conveyor belt while sipping on green tea. However, the variety of sushi I wanted to eat was limited and some of the dishes seemed dry. Eventually, I had to place a verbal order for items I wanted to eat. I ordered about 10 different types of sushi, including seared eel, salmon, and more. Each plate consisted of 2 pieces and the prices ranged from 120 yen to 480 yen per plate. The overall taste was average, and nothing stood out as particularly memorable. I ended up paying around 200-300 yen per piece, and overall, I was not very satisfied with the quality and cost-effectiveness of the meal. I personally believe that conveyor belt sushi is only worth it if it is priced at a flat rate of 100 yen per plate.
