In Uji City, next to McDonald's, there is a place called "Epris". This time, I bought a Chocolate Cornet, and it was filled with delicious chocolate cream. I received a flyer, so I will attach it for reference.

For some reason, I never came across "Eprees" next to Uji Kihata and McDonald's when it was open. Finally, I was able to purchase it. It seems to be popular as they only had stone oven bread for sale. Still, I was happy. It's a natural bread with a slight acidity. I sliced it and made a sandwich with the bento side dishes from Shokudo Yama Koya. It was amazing.

When you enter the small shop, you are surrounded by bread! Although there are no photos, the donuts are incredibly gentle and soothing. The country bread with plenty of dried fruits has excellent cost performance.

I visited a weekend-only bakery called eplesu near my home (*゚▽゚*). When I arrived, most of the products were already sold out, but I bought a quinoa sandwich, a kinako bread, and an amani bagel (*´∀`). They use homemade yeast and slowly ferment the dough. They do not use dairy or animal products in their bread, and they use vegan ingredients. The taste of all the items was excellent and very delicious (*´∀`*). I'm glad to have such a great bakery nearby (((o(*゚▽゚*)o))). They are only open on weekends and tend to sell out quickly, so it's best to visit early in the day (^O^). They also offer phone reservations, so I recommend it if you want to secure your purchase. The menu changes daily, but they post the menu for the day on their website, so it's a good idea to check there for reference _(._.)_

Leaf 20th Anniversary Special Feature: A total of 15 beloved gourmet breads in Kyoto that I want to visit in May. I have already been to 10 of the shops, but there are still 5 left. The fifth one is eplesu - a bakery with homemade yeast. This shop is the only one that has not been properly featured, so I got permission from the owner to include it. Originally, I planned to go on May 1st, but they were closed, so I went on May 6th. I tried the Whole Wheat Mountain Bread (280 yen), Strawberry Cornet (200 yen), Cashew Chocolate Bagel (230 yen), and Vegetable Sandwich (370 yen). The most delicious one was the Vegetable Sandwich.
