[Shop Location] Approximately 3 minutes walk from Exit 1 of Kodemmacho Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. [Visit Date and Time] Saturday holiday around 19:30. [Crowdedness] I visited without a reservation, but miraculously there was one seat available and I was able to enter normally. I think reservations are generally required. [Order Contents] ◯ 3 side dish set (¥1,500) ◯ Today's fresh oysters (¥550) ◯ Grilled salted sweetfish (¥1,800) ◯ Tilefish tempura (¥900) ◯ Assorted sashimi (¥900) ◯ Deep-fried horse mackerel (¥400) ◯ Shirimen rice (¥1,600) [Impressions] This is a restaurant that I definitely want to recommend. Every dish was extremely delicious, with all the fish being exquisite. There was not a single disappointment, and I felt the rich umami and sweetness in each dish. While I mentioned that all the dishes were delicious, the ones I personally recommend are as follows! ● 3 side dish set → Consisting of the following three types, with the sweetness of the corn, and the onion for Nanban-zuke made with fresh new onions providing exceptional sweetness. There is no compromise in the fish or vegetables, and it is incredibly delicious! ・ Corn puree ・ Conger eel Nanban-zuke ・ Eel simmered in soy sauce ● Tilefish tempura → Juicy and incredibly flavorful. Very fresh with an excellent match with salt. ● Deep-fried horse mackerel → Also very juicy. The quality is amazing for the price of 400 yen, and the homemade tartar sauce is delicious. I definitely want to come back here in the future. Thank you for the feast today, I will visit again.

I tried the 6,000 yen plan for one person, which includes small dishes and freshly cooked rice as the main course. It was my first time at this restaurant. The place is small but has a relaxed atmosphere and feels clean. They offered a free beer as a service at the beginning, which is great for those who don't drink a lot of beer. Then, they served me 6 kinds of Japanese sake to go with the dishes. The dishes were mainly small plates, perfect for those who don't want to eat too much, and they were all delicious, especially the fish dishes. With all this included for 6,000 yen, I will definitely come back again!

Cafeteria Unari Kodenma-cho Store #Kodenma-cho @unari0405kodenma We had a company drinking party here. Before we knew it, half of the restaurant was filled with our company members, including the presidents and other colleagues. All-you-can-drink sake ❌ The lineup of fish dishes was amazing! The sashimi was delicious, but the highlight was definitely the fried horse mackerel. Dip it in tartar sauce ❌ soy sauce with leeks, and it felt like reaching nirvana when paired with sake. The best part was the finale. Freshly cooked rice alone was so good that I ended up eating a lot, and even added ikura and tuna for seconds. It was so delicious. Rice after drinking plenty of sake. This restaurant makes you appreciate how great Japanese people are. Fish ❌ Japanese food lovers should definitely visit. #Kodenma-cho Gourmet #Cafeteria Unari Kodenma-cho Store #Gourmet #Want to connect with gourmet lovers #Want to connect with gourmet lovers #Gourmet girls #Gourmet Instagram #Tokyo Gourmet #Ningyocho Gourmet #Ningyocho #Nihonbashi #Nihonbashi Gourmet #Bakurocho Gourmet #Bakurocho #Shin-Nihonbashi #Cafeteria #Fried horse mackerel #Mitsukoshi-mae #Mitsukoshi-mae Gourmet #Kanda #Kanda Gourmet #japan #japantravel #japanesefood

On my second visit, there were still a few people waiting in front of the store. The staff efficiently took our orders outside, which was refreshing. This time, there were two of us, and we ordered the classic fried horse mackerel and the assorted seafood rice bowl. The assorted bowl included fried horse mackerel and sashimi. The horse mackerel this time seemed smaller, and it was clear they were frying batches for multiple people at once, so it wasn't piping hot. However, I could still feel their attention to detail in cooking it just right and the shiny rice. I look forward to my next visit.

Located at the 1st exit of Kodenmacho Station in Tokyo, just a short walk from Bakurocho. Today we tried their standard evening course, which included appetizers, sashimi like bonito and mackerel, and various small dishes. The quality of the fish was exceptional. Instead of beer, we opted for Akita's "Man's Flower" sake. Next, we had teriyaki and horse mackerel fry. The low-temperature frying technique used for the mackerel fry sealed in the flavor, making it incredibly delicious. The meal ended with beans and two grilled dishes. While the evening course didn't leave us overly full, each dish was fantastic, especially the fish-based ones.

I ordered the chef's choice set, which apparently includes fresh horse mackerel fry. Started with a draft beer and appetizers like simmered conger eel, fried fish, and boiled whelk. Then came bonito, so I switched to a 300ml bottle of Karaho sake. The sashimi platter was followed by the eagerly awaited fresh horse mackerel fry, which was delicious. It came with a special soy sauce dip. Three more small dishes followed, along with another bottle of Masuda sake. Finally, freshly cooked silver rice and miso soup were served, accompanied by three side dishes. The attention to detail, including the rice, was evident in the delicious silver rice.

When you want to leisurely enjoy a Japanese meal. It's nice that they have a menu centered around fish dishes and you can choose from a variety of rice dishes and side dishes. The menu isn't extensive, but it's a cozy place where you can subtly find what you want to eat. It's small, but gives a sense of comfort.

If you're going to eat fish, try exploring new restaurants near your old workplace like Ningyocho or Kodenmacho. I had a great time enjoying a course meal with sashimi for 1,600 yen, along with delicious dishes and sake. I ended up drinking too much sake because everything was so tasty. Thank you for the feast!

I visited the restaurant casually around 8:00 PM on a weekday. As soon as I saw the tuna skewers that came as an appetizer with my beer, I had a gut feeling that this place would be delicious. And with each dish that was served from the intriguing items on the blackboard menu, that feeling turned into certainty. Various seafood dishes were cooked in ways that complemented them, including grilled, fried, and simmered dishes. Each dish was delicious and meticulously prepared. They were just the right size, not too much or too little. The assorted appetizers platter is a must-try. And then, choose according to your preference! Thank you for the wonderful meal. I will definitely visit again.

There were already 3-4 people waiting outside even though it was still 15 minutes before noon. This was my third attempt to visit this restaurant. The first time, they were closed unexpectedly due to a water issue. The second time, I found out they no longer serve lunch on Mondays and Fridays, so I finally managed to get in today. The restaurant was clean, the chef and staff were kind. I didn't have to wait long before my desired dish, the horse mackerel fry set, arrived. It was hot and thick, the tartar sauce had crunchy onions, and the cabbage was finely cut. The rice was also delicious. This was my third honest attempt, and I definitely want to come back again.

The initial quality of the dishes was high. Overall, the flavors were subtle with no excessive seasoning, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine through. The owner's passion for fish was evident. The signature dish, raw horse mackerel fry, and raw oysters (choose from three types) were exceptionally delicious. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that the portion sizes were a bit small for the price, so the cost performance might be a bit disappointing.

At 6:00 p.m. on a regular day, I met up with an acquaintance for dinner after 5 years. We met near his office in the area around Kodenmacho. It seems like a historic town that was important during the Edo period with its relay stations and prison, but now it's a commercial area with many textile and metalware wholesalers. We made a reservation beforehand and arrived at 6:00 p.m., which was quite early, so at first, it was just the two of us, but the restaurant quickly filled up. It's a popular place. The restaurant is run by a company called FF.a, which operates under the name "Unari" and is known for its fresh seafood. They have several branches in Tokyo, including one in Setagaya's Kyodo area. As the name of the dining hall suggests, they seem to cater to both diners and drinkers. We started with draft beer, unsure of how much we could eat, so we ordered the daily appetizer and a sashimi platter with three types of fish (1,650 yen). We then enjoyed dishes like crispy and fluffy horse mackerel fry and fresh sashimi paired with sake like Hatsuganjo Junmai Daiginjo (a sake from Sakata City in Yamagata Prefecture) and Karaho. We were too full to try the Hagi kettle-cooked rice set, but we'll save it for next time.

I wanted to eat delicious fish, so my wife and I visited "Shokudo Unari Kodenmacho" this day. It was almost full at 7:00 pm on Friday. It was a good idea to make a reservation. We sat at the counter and the course started. We ordered the course "Small dishes and freshly cooked rice with sake included (6,000 yen)" for this day. We were served a glass of beer as a service at the beginning. Beer is great to drink in the hot season. Furthermore, we were served sake from here. We could enjoy about 6 types of sake to match the dishes, and it was a wonderful system where we could pour it ourselves from a 1.8 liter bottle. It's practically all-you-can-drink, but be careful not to drink too much. I got more drunk than I thought, so I drank a lot of water. - Tsubugai: A richly flavored tsubugai that is sweetly simmered. You can taste the rich liver if you skillfully take it out with a toothpick. - Tuna skewers: Juicy tuna with fat on top, flavored with ginger, goes well with beer and sake. - Shark heart sashimi: It tastes like shark heart sashimi and goes well with sesame oil. I had it for the first time, but it was delicious. - Sashimi assortment: A selection of red snapper, tuna, horse mackerel, sweet shrimp. They were all fresh, flavorful, and delicious. - Raw horse mackerel fry: The outside is crispy, but the inside of the horse mackerel is rare. It goes well with tartar sauce and a ponzu-like sauce with chives. - Konbu with eggs: The crunchy texture is delicious. The bonito flakes on top add flavor. - Simmered squid and daikon radish: Squid goes well with sake. The daikon radish is also soaked in squid flavor and is delicious. - Salt-grilled and rolled kamasu: Kamasu is juicy with fat, but it has quite a few bones, so I ate it carefully. The rolled egg is also delicious with a simple seasoning. - Rice cooked in a clay pot: The rice, cooked slightly hard, is fluffy and delicious. The rice accompaniments such as mentaiko, seaweed, dried small fish, and pickled daikon are also delightful. The miso soup with Nameko mushrooms and tofu is a comforting deliciousness. All the dishes were carefully prepared, and I truly felt that I was eating delicious food today. In the second half, I was able to have a good time talking with the person next to me and the chef. After paying the bill, the chef saw us off outside. I got more drunk than usual, so next time, I will reduce the amount of sake I pour myself and enjoy the food even more. Thank you for the meal.

The interior of the shop isn't very spacious, so I don't really want to reveal it too much haha. We opted for the all-you-can-drink course and I felt incredibly happy being able to drink various types of drinks! You can pour your preferred amount into the perfectly sized glass each time. Let's drink in moderation and enjoy it beautifully. If you find something you like, fill it up! The cute Vietnamese girl in the hall will bring you a different type of Japanese sake if you ask for it. Isn't this the best shop ever? There are various food pairings listed on the menu board and blackboard, all of which seem delicious and show attention to detail. This has become one of my go-to places! Thank you, chef.

This was my first visit here and I was a bit nervous at the counter, but the owner kindly explained the system and made me feel at ease. The Japanese sake paired with the food, starting from the first draft beer, was amazing. The dishes, not shown in the photos, included deep-fried pork belly skewers, appetizers, sashimi (fatty tuna, lean tuna, morning-caught sea bream, horse mackerel, bonito), horse mackerel fry, grilled yellowtail, simmered monkfish liver, clay pot rice, and pickles. Every dish showcased the owner's skill and was incredibly delicious. Thanks to that, the conversation with my companion was lively and enjoyable. Be careful not to drink too much! I definitely want to come back. Thank you for the feast!

Starting with a chef's choice course that includes sake pairings selected by the manager, this is such a luxurious experience! The sashimi selection includes bonito, tuna, sea bream, and horse mackerel, each with its own unique flavor. The grilled yellowtail and the signature rare horse mackerel fry are outstanding and make you want to have seconds. The simmered ganko and the rice cooked in a pot are the perfect way to finish the meal. Absolutely delightful!

The cafeteria Unari Kodenma-cho @unari0405kodenma in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, near Nihonbashi Daidenma-cho. The first lunch after the company relocation was the fried horse mackerel set meal. In the small dish on the top left, there is a special soy sauce for the fried horse mackerel. The garlic chives add a nice touch and go well with the fried horse mackerel! Under the fried horse mackerel, there was plenty of tartar sauce, and when mixed with the special soy sauce and tartar sauce, I couldn't stop eating the rice and even had seconds. This rice thief! It's so delicious! I also received a stamp card, so I will try visiting the Unari in Ningyocho and the night Unari. The company relocated from Mitsukoshi-mae to Kodenma-cho. If you happen to be in the area, let's be friends. #Kodenma-cho gourmet #Kodenma-cho #Cafeteria Unari Kodenma-cho #gourmet #want to connect with gourmet lovers #gourmet girls #gourmet Instagram #Tokyo gourmet #Ningyocho gourmet #Ningyocho #Nihonbashi #Nihonbashi gourmet #Bakurocho gourmet #Bakurocho #Shin-Nihonbashi #cafeteria #fried horse mackerel #Mitsukoshi-mae #Mitsukoshi-mae gourmet #Kanda #Kanda gourmet #japan #japantravel #japanesefood #company relocation #relocation #moving #recruitment #job change

A group of five colleagues had a dinner at a new restaurant that specializes in fish dishes and serves a variety of Japanese sake. The restaurant is small but well-utilized, with a cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious, and they enjoyed a selection of Japanese sake during the meal. The staff was accommodating, allowing guests to choose their preferred sake throughout the evening. The meal ended with a serving of eight different pickles, which complemented the rice well. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience with good food and drinks.

The lunch menu at the fish restaurant had a no photography policy. The seating was spacious and the silver rice lunch set included natural sesame sea bream with fried horse mackerel on top! Unari in Kodenmacho is a seafood izakaya also found in Toranomon. The chef at this location is excellent, delivering high-quality dishes. Enjoy a variety of small dishes throughout the meal, finishing with a delicious clay pot rice with cod roe, whitebait, and pickles. Both satisfaction and fullness guaranteed! Highly recommended.

Opened in April 2021. Visited a restaurant that had a good reputation for their fried horse mackerel. However, upon visiting, the unique features seemed to have disappeared, and the restaurant felt ordinary. They used to offer a "Tuna Donburi with Unlimited Toppings" for lunch initially, but it seems to have been discontinued. Also, the "Unari Special Set Meal" with fried horse mackerel and sashimi, which used to be a good deal, was no longer available. Furthermore, the ticket machine was gone, and orders were now taken orally. Ordered the fried horse mackerel set meal, along with additional fried oysters, tartar sauce, and bottled beer. The fried horse mackerel was not served as "raw fried horse mackerel," and there was no mention of it being "aged at ice temperature," so perhaps they stopped offering it due to poor reviews? The clam soup was replaced with regular miso soup. On the other hand, there was a generous amount of tartar sauce, almost too much, which was a pleasant surprise. However, it had a ginger flavor, which might not appeal to everyone. I personally enjoy unique restaurants, but this one simply served delicious fried horse mackerel without any special features. If you're looking for exceptional fried horse mackerel, it might be better to go to Takadanobaba after all!
