I wanted to eat both omurice and hamburger, so I remembered the existence of this cafe. The "OmB" set for 1300 yen was different from what I expected. I thought it would be an oval-shaped wrapped omurice, but it was more of a creamy egg topping style. Looking at the photos on Tabelog, it seems that a year ago the omurice set menu had changed to the creamy topping style. When I ordered the Japanese-style omurice alone, it was the wrapped style. The omurice had ham in it. Both the omurice and the hamburger were like the ones you would find at a Western-style restaurant, nothing particularly special. The shrimp fry had a thick texture and was satisfying to eat, crispy and delicious as it was freshly fried. It's a rare place where you can try various Western dishes, and you can also enjoy two different styles of omurice. There are plenty of other menu options, so I would like to come back and try something different next time! When I entered, there was only one other customer, but more people came in and it was almost full. They accepted PayPay, cards, and various electronic money. I received a stamp card when I paid with PayPay.

At the southern edge of the Roppo Western food culture zone, in Arakamikuchi, Kamijo-ku, I enjoyed the OmB (a famous omelette rice dish with mini hamburger and shrimp fry) for 1300 yen. It had an orthodox flavor, generous portion, and was reasonably priced. This daily-use Western-style restaurant attracts a wide range of customers, from young people to the elderly. I'm curious about the recommended "Sicilian rice" dish next time.

Located west of Kojin-guchi, "Gohan Cafe Tuzuru" appears to be a casual Western-style restaurant with a cafe-like atmosphere. The menu is quite substantial, offering reasonably priced daily set meals for 780 yen, which include two main dishes, salad, miso soup, and rice (on this day, tofu minced cutlet and white fish fry, both delicious). The most popular item is the omurice set (A~D combinations) priced between 1,080 yen and 1,350 yen (on this day, I had the B set with hamburger and shrimp fry). When I asked for a recommendation between demi-glace sauce and Japanese-style grated radish for the omurice, I was served the Japanese-style version. The change in ingredients to a Japanese-style theme made it a unique and delicious combination that I had never experienced before. I highly recommend this lunch spot!

A small Western-style restaurant that takes pride in its omurice. The clean and modern interior exudes a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The omurice made with eggs from Kyoto is soft and fluffy, and the attention to detail in dishes like shrimp fry and hamburger is evident. It's no wonder that the place is packed even on weekdays during lunchtime. Thank you for the delicious meal. #GratefulforLife camera: #ricohgr3... #KyotoGourmet #KyotoTravel #KyotoDinner #KyotoLunch #KyotoWesternFood #KansaiGourmet #KyotoSightseeing #WesternFoodLunch #WesternRestaurant #OmuriceLovers #FoodPhotography #FoodieGram #KyotoLife #KyotoJapan #KyotoFood #KyotoDinner #KyotoLunch #LovesKyoto #Omurice #FoodInstagram

When there was a Okazaki branch, I used to frequent it, but this branch is my first time. I ordered the daily special set meal, and my partner ordered the "Om A" set which includes Demi-glace Omurice and Chicken Nanban. The daily special for that day was shrimp fry and sweet and sour chicken nuggets. Whenever I eat at Tetsuzan, I always think that the rice is delicious...not that the rice is particularly delicious or any specific dish is delicious, but maybe the balance is just right... By the way, my partner asked for a half-size Omurice to suit their stomach condition, and that kind of service is appreciated. It's a convenient restaurant for everyday use.

I was just passing by, but I was attracted by the photo of omurice in front of the store and the extensive menu, so I decided to stop by. The daily lunch specials include chicken karaage with sweet vinegar sauce and shrimp fry set, various Western set meals, various omurice dishes (served with soup and salad), omurice and side dish sets (one plate) with options such as chicken nanban, shrimp fry and hamburger, shrimp fry and croquette, shrimp fry and hamburger and croquette, various curry rice dishes, various rice bowl dishes, and Sicilian rice. There are so many options! Lunch is available from 11:00, and there are many menu items available for less than 1000 yen. The daily lunch special is a great deal at 780 yen. I entered the store after disinfecting my hands, and once seated, I looked at the menu again. The menu book only shows a few dishes, and I chose one that caught my eye. - Japanese-style grated radish omurice 900 yen This omurice is recommended as it uses eggs from Kyoto. After a 7-minute wait, the omurice, soup, and salad were served together. The salad consisted mainly of shredded cabbage with a small amount of Japanese-style dressing, and potato salad was also included. The soup was a clear consommé without any ingredients. The omurice was beautifully formed in an oval shape with a bright yellow color. Grated radish and chopped seaweed were placed on top. It was recommended to add ponzu sauce from a separate dish as desired. I first cut into the middle with a spoon and found shiso leaves and dried baby sardines inside. The eggs were cooked thoroughly but still had a creamy texture, which I personally loved. The rice had a dashi flavor, which was delicious on its own, but it paired perfectly with the grated radish and ponzu sauce. I ended up pouring all the ponzu sauce on top. It was so delicious that I couldn't help but eat it all, but it was quite large and filled me up. I was able to pay using various electronic payment methods. I am interested in the Western side dishes and Sicilian rice, so I definitely want to visit again.

Located on the south side of the Arakamiguchi, a 5-minute walk east from Marutamachi Street after coming up from Keihan Kamigamo Shrine, then heading north on Kawaramachi for about 7 minutes. The interior of the store is non-smoking, but smoking is allowed outside, so I ordered a coffee for now. I didn't have a chance to relax at the table, but it was fine as it was.

Visited in December. A Western-style restaurant near Aragamiguchi. I went because I had some errands nearby. They are open all day, which is convenient. What I had: - Omu B (1080 yen): Omelette rice, hamburger, shrimp fry. It's a set with three of my favorite Western dishes. You can choose between two sauces for the omelette rice: 1) Demi-glace sauce, 2) Japanese-style grated radish sauce. I chose the Demi-glace sauce. The omelette rice was fluffy and delicious. It's on the smaller side, but satisfying. The shrimp fry was crispy and came with homemade tartar sauce. The mini-sized hamburger was also tasty. I liked that I could try a variety of dishes in small portions. I think it's a good deal for 1080 yen.

Old and young, men and women, constantly coming and going, this place is incredibly popular. They also offer bento boxes, as I saw two female students buying them. The couple next to me mentioned they had made a reservation online. Before I arrived, it was a group of elderly people. The popularity is no surprise, as the food was incredibly delicious. I had the set with omurice, shrimp fry, and hamburger. It was a generous portion and absolutely fantastic.

Located in Arakamiguchi, this place is Cafe Tsumugi. It feels like a local diner where you can enjoy a variety of dishes, from Japanese to Western cuisine. On this day, I had the set with hamburger, shrimp fry, and scallop fry. The hamburger was hearty, and the shrimp fry and scallop fry had a comforting home-cooked taste. I personally appreciate the well-balanced colors on the plate. In addition to the hamburger, they offer dishes like ginger pork, omurice, and curry, making it difficult to choose every time. All the dishes are delicious, and it's a peaceful place to spend time.

The restaurant we relied on for lunch during our training camp was a café. The meals had a stylish feel, perfect for a training camp, and the taste was extremely delicious. It was just the right balance for high school girls. The menu with chicken breast and pork loin was perfect for recovery from fatigue. With this meal, we feel like we can do our best during the training camp.

Today, my wife, son, daughter, mother-in-law, and I had lunch together. It was hot outside, so we were grateful for the air conditioning inside the restaurant. We ordered our meals - I had Set A, my wife had the lunch special, my son had Chicken Nanban Omurice Plate, my daughter had Cheese Omurice, and my mother-in-law had Set B. We wanted to order the Tsuzure Teishoku for my wife and mother-in-law, but they weren't serving it today, so we had to change our order. The restaurant seemed to have a lot of solo diners today. Our dishes arrived, and they were all pretty average. The scallop fry in Set A was smaller than expected but tasty. The shrimp fry had a nice texture, but the egg on the hamburger steak was overcooked, and the miso soup was too watery. After finishing our meals, we decided to order some additional items - hotcakes, a matcha sundae, coffee, cola, and iced coffee. My daughter ordered the matcha sundae and shared it with everyone. The hotcakes and matcha sundae were delicious. Sweet treats are always a hit! The match between Hosen Wakayama and Seiryo High School has reached a tiebreaker! Now, let's see who will come out on top!

I couldn't find the restaurant I was looking for, so I ended up having a late lunch around 2 o'clock. I ordered the set lunch for ¥700, which was "Tomato sauce chicken cutlet with tofu salad." The cutlet was fried crispy and the salad on the side was decently portioned. In addition to Western dishes like hamburger, fried food, and omelette rice, they also offer Japanese-style bento boxes and grilled mackerel set meals. If this restaurant is nearby, I might visit more often. The interior of the restaurant is bright and clean. Thank you for the meal.

The menu is extensive and I can think of what I want to eat next time I go, so I won't get tired of this restaurant. I had shrimp fry and oyster fry, and it seemed like the tartar sauce was different. Could it be their original specialty? They also offer takeout, and there were plastic dividers on the tables for COVID-19 prevention. The food was delicious. They also offer extra large rice servings for an additional fee.

Before taking a walk around the Kyoto Imperial Palace, I had omurice here. There's nothing particularly notable about it, but it left a good impression on me. I feel like I only crave simple omurice once a month. The feeling of wanting to eat something simple like this that I feel like I could make myself but can't, is nice.

Rice cafe located near the university hospital at Arakamiguchi Street. It has a chic appearance with a mortar exterior and a moss green awning. The clean interior is decorated in an urban casual style with wood accents and ivory tones. The seating area in the front has a counter and bench seats, while there is also a raised tatami room in the back for group use. The background music includes Japanese R&B and nostalgic melodies. The cafe offers dishes made with eggs from a local farm, such as a creamy cheese omelette rice. The lunch set includes miso soup and salad with coleslaw, lettuce, purple cabbage, tomatoes, and sesame dressing. The omelette rice is beautifully presented with a swirl design and a glossy demi-glace sauce on the side. The egg is thick and fluffy, with a soft and smooth texture, while the ketchup rice has a simple yet flavorful mix of onions and bacon. The attentive waitress checks on customers and keeps the place clean. The cafe is popular among people of all ages, with a diverse menu and welcoming atmosphere. It is open all day and serves lunch until 4 pm, making it a cozy dining spot loved by students and locals alike.
