I went to buy vegetable seedlings for my vegetable garden, so while I was at it, I decided to get takeout in Kameoka. Wine for takeout? That caught my interest, so I came here. But of course, I also need to get some food for takeout. I ordered the Kameoka beef hamburger with salad for 1080 yen, and the bacon and asparagus pizza for 1080 yen. For the main wine, I requested a heavier red wine for home drinking, around 2000 yen, and they recommended the Panamera 2017 from Napa Valley, USA. It was a beautifully clear red wine, fruity, easy to drink, and delicious. I saw it being sold online for double the price with shipping costs added. Thank you for the delicious meal. If they still have it, I want to run back and buy more. The pizza for lunch was good, with a thicker, bread-like crust, unlike the thin Neapolitan pizzas I've been having lately. It was delicious. For dinner, the hamburger was huge and came with spaghetti and potatoes, all easily microwavable in the paper box. But I microwaved it and then grilled it a bit on a hot plate. Kameoka beef is so delicious. Making hamburgers at home is also tasty, but the texture and cooking of the minced meat is different. This one for 1080 yen that I can eat at home is such a delight. It might be more expensive if you have a big family, but for one person, this is recommended. The salad was quite generous. The Panamera Cabernet Sauvignon was perfect with the meat. It seems they also offer delivery for nearby customers, which I envy. It's convenient to have a car stop in front of the store for ordering and pickup. I wonder if this is a feature of Kameoka's shopping streets, having a car stop.
