During my food tour in Kyoto in December, I visited several places to eat in Arashiyama before heading to the Sagano Torokko Station to catch the Sagano Torokko train. At the station, I stopped by a souvenir shop called "Take no Michi Saga no An" to buy some souvenirs. I decided to purchase the Sagano Torokko train pie, which is a pie pastry with Yatsuhashi (cinnamon-flavored sweet) filling. The pie had a nice crunchy texture with a distinct Yatsuhashi flavor. Personally, I'm not a big fan of Yatsuhashi, so I could do without it, but overall it was a tasty snack. The package contained 10 pieces in a box designed for 12 pieces, which made me briefly wonder if it was a defective product (lol).
