Once again, the food was served promptly, with five large pieces of karaage. While the karaage was a bit dry and lacked flavor, dipping it in ponzu vinegar helped enhance the taste. Overall, the grilled salted salmon belly set was the standout dish at this restaurant, as many customers seemed to agree by ordering it frequently.

When I was working on weekdays, I couldn't go to this place even though I wanted to because it was nearby. This time, since I have some free time (currently on medical leave), I visited the nearby restaurant while taking a walk. There were two customers before me and two customers after me. They had table seats, tatami seats, and a large counter seat in the middle in the shape of a "C". I ordered the sashimi set. There was a transparent refrigerator with sushi ingredients, and three plates of sashimi were served from there. The sashimi set included four types of sashimi. It also came with rice (you could get extra rice), miso soup, side dishes (such as ham cutlet, tamagoyaki, etc.), and pickles. The sashimi was really delicious and the rice was average. Today, after leaving the sports gym, I casually stopped by a izakaya (Japanese pub) along the Jūjō street. This place is called KinoKawa. The owner is from Wakayama Prefecture, and it seems they named the restaurant after the river "KinoKawa" that flows through Wakayama. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is lively, with a local community feel. The appetizer was duck breast. Cheers to a cold beer in a chilled glass! I ordered some dishes to go with my drinks: - Salmon belly with plenty of fat, delicious! - Assorted grilled chicken skewers, two of each kind. It was a satisfying amount for drinking. I had another beer and enjoyed a relaxing time. Sometimes, it's nice to casually drop by an izakaya alone. Being from the same prefecture as the owner, I felt a strong sense of familiarity at this place.

Lunch is always 680 yen, and I always go for the sashimi set! The sashimi set for 680 yen is too cheap.

Lunch was cheap at 650 yen, so I decided to stop by. The restaurant is quite large, with about 80% of the tables occupied. It seems to be doing well. The turnover is fast, with customers constantly coming in and out. I ordered the sashimi set meal, and it came out immediately. Even though there were many customers, I was surprised at how fast it was. Other customers who came in later also received their fried dishes in about 3-5 minutes. They must be prepping in advance. The sashimi portion was a bit small, with 2 pieces each of tuna, octopus, and sea bream, and 3 pieces of yellowtail. The taste was average, similar to supermarket sashimi. However, the side dishes that came with it were delicious. The beef and burdock root stir-fry had a nice texture and flavor, with a good balance of seasoning and the umami of the beef. The rolled omelette was cold but had a melt-in-your-mouth texture. I've noticed that restaurants that serve shredded pickles tend to have less tasty rice, and this place was no exception. Overall, there were some minor issues, but I think the cost performance is good.
