In this area where there is work, the shop I had been eyeing for a while is unexpectedly closed, even though it's not a regular holiday (lol). So, why not stop by this shop before getting on the highway? It seems like they recently started serving lunch, as there is a sign up. The location is far from the station and on the outskirts of a residential area, so it seems like a shop that values local customers. Inside the shop, it feels more like a stylish izakaya than a sushi restaurant. They offer three lunch menus: Nigiri lunch, Full Nigiri lunch, and Premium Nigiri lunch. This time, I went for the Full Nigiri lunch. The set includes nine pieces of Nigiri, two hand rolls, and miso soup. First, the Nigiri arrived. There was Yellowtail, Swordfish, Salmon, Tamago, Pickled Turnip, Mackerel, White Shrimp, Conger Eel, and Salmon Roe. The variety of Nigiri was almost double that of a conveyor belt sushi place. The Yellowtail was fresh and had a nice thickness. The Swordfish was fresh and delicious. The Salmon was good, no complaints. The Tamago was twice the regular size and had a good volume. The Pickled Turnip was a nice change from regular sushi. The Mackerel was satisfying as a final piece. The White Shrimp was a rare choice for a regular sushi place. The Conger Eel was well-prepared and tasty. The Salmon Roe was just average. The hand roll with Tamago was good, but I wished for a different filling. The hand roll with Plum and Shiso was disappointing. The miso soup was a bit too salty. Despite being far from the station and having a hit-or-miss reputation, the presence of women and the pleasant atmosphere inside the shop were promising. The volume of the sushi in terms of rice and toppings was great, and they didn't use common toppings like Red Snapper or Yellowtail, which was commendable. However, I wish they would increase the variety of choices rather than just increasing the quantity. It would be nice to have the option to try two different types instead of just one. Also, it was a shame that the hand roll was a bit of a letdown. Thank you for the meal.
