I was amazed at how crowded it was with people drinking so much from lunchtime. Most of them were office workers. I only had this much to eat after having a meal, but the motsu-ni and the limited one-person tataki were incredibly delicious. The tataki was especially delicious. The crunchy texture of the cartilage was indescribable, making it so delicious that I wanted to eat another one. Thank you for the meal!

A long-established motsu-yaki (grilled offal) restaurant founded in Showa 4 (1929) located in Hamamatsu-cho. It opens at 3:30 PM on weekdays and when I visited around 4 PM, the first floor was almost full. I was guided to the second floor where seats were also almost taken. I quickly ordered the limited one serving of tataki (meatballs) per person before they ran out. The chewy texture of the cartilage was good. The teppou (pig intestine) had a nice elasticity and the sweet and savory sauce was very delicious. Not only the taste, but the atmosphere of this Showa-era bar is also irresistibly good.

I finished work quickly and had an early dinner/lunch at Akita-ya in Hamamatsucho. There were about 10 people waiting in line before the opening, but I was able to enter without any issues. I immediately ordered a drink and got a draft beer served right away! The dishes, the atmosphere of the restaurant, the pace of the service, everything was just right. Of course, the drinks and food were also excellent! I stayed a little longer for personal reasons, but spending just under an hour at this restaurant felt just right. I will definitely visit again!

Arrived at 4:45 pm. I went in anticipating that the first round would be busy, but I only had to wait about 15 minutes to get in. Not bad for a Saturday. Last time, I felt a bit uncomfortable because things didn't go smoothly, but this time I was able to move around without any issues. However, there was one staff member who was a bit unpleasant. The stew is really delicious. Even though it has tofu in it, it doesn't feel out of place. They really know how to handle the intestines. The skewers are not tough! They have a good bite to them! The dumplings are processed really well. I don't understand why you can only have one, but personally, I think enjoying the lingering taste of this delicious dish is important. If things stay like this, I can keep coming back without any worries. Thank you for the meal.

We lined up before 3:30 pm and entered the restaurant with one companion as soon as it opened. We secured a table for two on the first floor. We started with a toast with draft beer and then ordered half-motsu with tofu for 605 yen, and a special meatball dish for 242 yen (limited to one per person). We also ordered various items such as grilled motsu for 440 yen per plate, including rectum, liver, tongue, and heart. The special meatball dish came with a special sauce and had an exceptional taste. The grilled rectum, seasoned with salt, was incredibly delicate in flavor. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Today I finally made it to this place I've been wanting to go for a while! It's always been full whenever I tried to go before... First, cheers with a draft beer~♪ For snacks... - One-night pickled daikon radish. It's a refreshing dish! Tastes great with a sprinkle of shichimi pepper!! - Stewed dish. Oh, so tender and delicious♡♡♡ Sprinkling shichimi pepper on top is the best♪ - Grilled offal. I ordered liver, hormone, and I forgot the rest. The portions are big overall, but the taste is just average I think. Maybe it's because I've been eating out a lot. Sorry for being rude, but it's like above average. Akita Highball please♪ Mmm, just the right strength♡ - Grilled smelt. Not bad♪ But the portion is a bit small... Highball please♪ - Roasted soybeans. Yummy!! They have a nice sweetness to them. Goes well with the drinks♡ Highball please♪ Overall... I finally made it to Akita-ya. I thought it would be hot but the air conditioning was working well so it was fine. We had a lot of conversation so we didn't order too many snacks, but I'm curious about the limited edition skewers. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant, which was established in the 4th year of the Showa era, for the first time. When I arrived 5 minutes before opening on Saturday, there was already a line of over 10 people. While waiting for the skewers to cook, I had esharetto and stew. The stew was average, but the skewers that came out later were really delicious. I preferred the tare sauce over salt seasoning. Especially the tsukune skewer, known as the specialty, had a good crunchy texture of cartilage and was juicy and tasty. The service was friendly and welcoming, making it easy for first-time visitors to feel comfortable.

A place I want to revisit. Large bottle of beer for 650 yen. Lemon highball for 450 yen. Cold sake for 380 yen. The specialty skewers (tsukune) are 220 yen each. A great place for grilled offal. You can add salt to the plate for grilled offal. Other skewers can be ordered in pairs for 440 yen. Options include tail, liver, tongue, heart, cartilage, stomach, tripe, head, and brain. The first floor has about 6 counter seats, outdoor standing seats, and table seats. There is also a second floor. The first floor is filled with smoke.

A shop in the salaryman district of Otemachi-Hamamatsucho, with Tokyo Tower in the background, exudes a strong sense of history. It is always crowded on both weekdays and weekends, but luckily we found an available seat and decided to try it out. We ordered their signature dishes, "Gyu Nikomi" and "Motsuyaki". Both dishes were a must-try! The rich flavor of the Gyu Nikomi with a strong saltiness that makes you crave for rice (even though they don't serve rice). The Motsuyaki, especially the "tan" (tongue) with its saltiness, was irresistible. Some menu items sell out quickly, so it's recommended to visit early. An izakaya located about a 2-3 minute walk from JR Hamamatsucho Station. I arrived at 7:15 pm and was able to quickly find a seat at the counter as it was empty. I ordered a bottle of beer and beef tripe stew, and tried to order grilled beef tripe as well, but they were sold out of everything except liver and heart. Many other dishes were also sold out. I asked the staff for recommendations and ended up ordering liver, heart, scallions, and scallops. The stew was very tender and well-seasoned, perfect with beer. The other dishes were also delicious. Despite the limited menu towards closing time, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I definitely want to come back.

Today, I came to Hamamatsucho for the first time in a while. I took a walk to the Hinode Pier to feel the sea breeze. In the evening, I went to "Akita-ya," a restaurant established in 1929. It was packed with people by 5 pm because it's Friday. I ended up standing outside and having a drink. The wind was nice today, so it was pleasant outside. I started with an Akita Highball, which was delicious. For snacks, I had vinegar-marinated sea squirt. I always crave sea squirt in the summer, so I was happy they had it. Now, let's try the grilled offal. Each piece was big and satisfying. I ordered teppo (tripe), tongue, and knuckle. Delicious! The taste didn't disappoint, being a long-standing establishment. I'll definitely come back again.

I'm already intrigued by the appearance, so a regular drinker like me would easily walk in. The building seems to have about three floors, with an overall casual pub atmosphere. The staff have a bit of a unique personality, which actually matches the vibe of the place! The speed at which the skewers come out is quite fast! It seems like they start grilling them in advance, and when an order comes in, they just finish grilling them and serve. I don't know for sure, but it's cheap, fast, and delicious, so I recommend it! The taste matches the appearance, so it's all good!

I had a bottle of beer for 715 yen, beef tripe stew for 605 yen, two salted pig's ears for 440 yen, and beef tataki for 242 yen, totaling 2000 yen. The beef tripe stew was delicious with tofu in it. The pig's ears were large and satisfying to eat. The tataki was quite coarse with a great chewy texture from the cartilage. Everything was delicious. This time I didn't have much time so it was just a quick drink, but if I really got into it, the cost would add up.

I felt like eating delicious motsu-yaki, so I went to "Akita-ya" after a long time. After finishing a meeting, I rushed there a little after 5 o'clock and luckily we were able to sit at a table for four on the second floor. While drinking draft beer, as usual, ☆ Beef motsu stew 550 yen including tax 605 yen. The plump beef motsu is delicious. Sprinkle plenty of red pepper. There are stewed motsu and stewed motsu intestines. I wonder if they raised the price by 50 yen. For motsu-yaki, ☆ heart ☆ tongue ☆ liver ☆ cartilage ☆ gizzard 2 sticks on one plate 440 yen. The motsu is still big and satisfying to eat. The motsu-yaki is juicy and overflowing with meat juices. Once you eat motsu-yaki at "Akita-ya", you won't be satisfied with motsu-yaki at other restaurants. After the beer, everyone had their favorite drink. Some had lemon sour, some had highball, and some had chilled Nihonshu Takashimizu. ☆ Grilled squid 605 yen ☆ Taninaka ginger 440 yen. We each had another drink and finished with a light snack. They raised the prices a bit, but it's still delicious. You can be happy in just one hour.

I had already had four drinks before this, including beer and chu-hai. Around 5:30 PM, one by one, the members arrived, and eventually there were six of us. I always pass by this place but never go in, just peeking in and watching with my fingers in my mouth. One day, I found a seat right away and thought, "Why not?" The freshly grilled offal in the morning was mostly sold out, so I ordered what was left. The garlic chive salad was a great match with the offal and highball. I think I'll try to aim for a slightly earlier timing for the next visit.

We visited a yakitori restaurant near Hamamatsucho Station with my subordinate around 7:30 pm. We were able to sit down at just the right time as there were people standing and drinking outside. We ordered beer, liver, tongue, and cartilage skewers, as well as simmered dish and stir-fried garlic chives. Yakitori goes well with beer. There was yakitori with chicken tail on the menu, but we decided not to order it this time, considering the people around us. Maybe I'll order it next time when I'm standing and drinking outside.

I had some time to spare before my reservation, so I decided to walk around and stumbled upon a nice restaurant along the way. The place was bustling with people enjoying drinks outside, and it seemed busy even at this early hour. I took a chance and asked if there was a table available, and luckily there was one just opening up. I ordered just two dishes since I didn't have much time - a delicious skewer and simmered offal. They were so tasty that I wanted to try more dishes, but I had to leave for my next appointment. I definitely want to come back and enjoy a leisurely meal next time. The restaurant had a fast turnover, and although I didn't get to chat much with the staff, it was still a good dining experience.
